A memorable moment from this past Saturday was when my friends and I stopped to sit at the bench in the middle of Orange Circle; Met the nicest old man with the cutest and friendliest dogs. Before he left, he joked to my friends and I about how his dogs were always running away from him, like the ladies in life (obviously he wasn't rude or creepy about it). And that entire experience at Old Towne Orange made me think about how many of us yearn for connection and communities like that again. The tour is free and lasted about an hour long. The tour consists of two parts. The first is mainly introduction to the history of the Yakult drink, how it came about, and the benefits of the drink. We got to sample the drinks, both the red and blue bottles. The red bottle is the standard sweetness while the blue bottle has less sugar. The second part is the actual tour of the factory where they produce the drinks. We got to see the different rooms on how the drinks are made, from making the probiotics, to quality control, to bottling, and all the way to packaging for shipment. We were not allowed to take any photos or videos for the second part of the tour. It was very fun and informative. We had a great time here. Eat Drink Pink was organized the same way. You had to RSVP beforehand and for $10 you could sample everything on their floor, visit the food trucks (Burnt Truck and Chomp Chomp) and also listen to live music. The event start at 6 but I arrived around 7:30PM. Parking was much easier and luckily there was no line. I hadn't RSVP'd but that wasn't an issue. They only asked for my ID to get a drink pass. The event was mainly cupcake samples. Golden Spoon had free water bottles and yogurt, Tasty Clouds had cotton candy and cotton candy martinis that were really strong, and Taco Mesa had fruit, tres leches pomegranate cake, and steak tacos. After the cotton candy martini, I sampled the Pink Champagne cupcake from My Delight Cup Cakery. This was super delicious. I love anything with champagne and the frosting wasn't overly sweet and the cake was moist. I just wish it wasn't a bite size piece. Next up was the smores cupcake from Miss Sweetcakes. They had a lighter on hand to burn the marshmallow frosting on top which gave it a great roasted flavor. Yum! I also sampled the vegan cupcake from Luscious Organic Desserts and as much as I love being healthy. This one was a little too healthy for me. I think health food should still have flavor and not taste like cardboard. You should be able to enjoy being healthy not regret it and go back to your gluttonous ways. The evening entertainment was pretty cool. They dimmed the lights and blasted the music. We got up close and got some great shots. Stereofix played their set first followed by Nylon Pink. Parking here as with any beach town is difficult, but not impossible. There are some free street parking and paid lots. Service is quick and friendly. It's mainly a to-go place with a couple outdoor tables. The pizza here is good, like really good!! You can order by the slice or an entire pizza if you want. It's one of the best pizza places I have tried. My go to here is the truffle porcini (mushroom) pizza even though I'm an all meat pizza kinda gal. It's just sooo tasty! The crust here is food and the dough is light! My baby boy devoured his entire pepperoni and sausage slice. Prices are fair, from about $8-10 a slice depending on what you get. Whenever I come to Huntington Beach I try to get pizza here! The pizza here does not dissapoint! Would I come back? Of course I would. If It was closer I'd be here much more often!
