Great find! We decided to celebrate Mother's Day a day early since I had to work. We had dinner reservations for 8pm, mainly because we called the day of, rather than planning ahead of time. We arrived right before 8pm and didn't think it would've been a wait but we ended up waiting for about 20min before being seated. We did see a couple walk up and kind of just walk in. We assume they were members or regulars? Either way, we get it. Take care of your regulars because they keep coming back. Next, we ended up sitting outside which was a plus (besides the frog we seen hopping around). Lol! It was a beautiful night! We ordered everything from appetizers, to a salad and dessert. We ordered the garlic cheese bread to go with our salad. Waiter did tell us he could split, which ended up being $3. Not a big deal but should be said while offering to do so. I got the short ribs, my husband ordered the prime rib. One daughter got the fried rice while the other got the Rueben and sweet potato fries. We did end up ordering a skillet cookie that came with ice cream to top it all off. We were stuffed! Everything was great besides the few hiccups. My husband was quite annoyed and is still talking about it days later that our waiter intentionally dropped food on him and then poured water on him. I'm chalking it up to inexperienced since he looked a little young. Location; located within the Encanterra community, we went for my BookClub and they were super helpful for a large group. We sat in the large great room that overlooked an amazing view with plently of photo spots. Food; Ordered the Prime Rib and it was DELICIOUS, may have been the best one I had in a while. My girlfriend and I visited for Sunday brunch today, and the place has a great vibe. We were seated outside, which was lovely, and our waitress promptly brought us water. When she returned to take our drink order, I asked about the beers they had on tap, and instead of answering, she directed me to the menu. I didn't move, and after a brief pause, she listed off the options. Once we had our drinks, we ordered food. A different waitress brought out our meals, but unfortunately, our original server didn't check on us again for at least 20 minutes. My eggs were completely bland with no seasoning, and to make matters worse, I had requested sourdough toast but received plain white bread instead. When our waitress did finally return after we finished, she cleared our plates and dropped off the bill without any attempt to address the issues. Everything about my experience was AMAZING!! Pomai was so sweet and very attentive! She recommended this blueberry jalapeño margarita (DELICIOUS) and it paired nicely with the brisket nachos! From a neglectful host that didn't acknowledge us, to a waitress that literally dropped my plate on the table and didn't say a word, to forgotten drink order... they have a little room to improve. I've been here a couple times, and it is just not worth it. I had a dip sandwich with burnt bread and no flavor, soggy fries and flat soda. My husband had fish served over rice and the rice was absolutely disgusting. It was undercooked/crunchy and his fish was gooey. They said the chef was new but that is not an excuse to serve inedible food. The server only stopped by twice and it was not even busy. The cheesy bread and water were good, but everything else was awful. They said the soda machine hadn't been working, so I'm not sure why they even offered it to us. The neighboring table also had to send their drinks back, because the machine was not working... For $70 for two people, not worth it. read more

Some of our items were great! Others did not impress . So overall a 50/50 experience. Also found the sound level to be pretty noisy. If you're going for a intimate dinner you might choose a different place. Lastly, when we arrived hostess told us as she was seating us that we only had the table we reserved for 90 minutes. Went for brunch, their omelet bar is excellent, especially for the price, at a country club no less. Service is always excellent, they make you feel like you are important. Whether you are inside or outside, the ambience is great, with stunning views of Superstition Mountain when seated outside. It's cool to see the wildlife also. read more

I had heard about Palma Kitchen a bunch of times. It's only 10 minutes from where I live. I had heard about Encanterra many times as well, but had never been. I'm three years new to the neighborhood. It's about time I discovered what PK was all about. It was my birthday weekend, and I was looking for a place for a birthday brunch, or early lunch. I really wanted to be by the water, but I also really didn't want to travel far. At first I almost didn't choose Palma because I wasn't happy about how late they opened. My son usually goes to sleep around 12:30 so it would've had to of been a quick lunch, which it ended up not being. We got there around 11 AM, found parking, walked around a little bit because the area is beautiful took some photos, enjoyed the water, walked all the way down there. Saw that there was a baby shower, a wedding set up, all kinds of things were happening there. I loved it immediately when I got there. We automatically started to convince our in-laws who are 55 and older to move into the community so we can enjoy this place more! We were on Zillow, looking at prices, etc. The restaurant itself is beautiful, both inside and outside. Our reservation was for outside because again, I really wanted to be by the water. Our server was named Jacob. He took good care of us. He did a really great job handling a larger party. We weren't too much of a handful. We got a few cocktails, no appetizers, and a round of meals. A few people at the table got pizzas and I think that's what made the wait time longer. We waited quite a bit for our food, we all devoured it when I got there and everybody was happy with their meals. A lot of people, because of how big the portions were, left with a box.The people who got pizzas, I think we're under the impression that the pizzas were for one person, but it definitely is shareable. A very big portion. I ended up getting a side, Caesar salad, also hilarious because the side portion is as big as a regular portion, in addition to the salmon meal with garlic, mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. My son got the grilled cheese that came with a side of fruit off of the kid's menu. My mother-in-law and best friend got the Cobb salad and one of them got grilled shrimp as well. The presentation looked delicious. The food tasted delicious. The service was good, we did end up waiting as I got busier and busier as we were there. We're so excited that we found this place because we've been looking for a place like this that's nearby. It's on the fancier/pricier side, so it will likely be some thing we go to for special occasions. Palma Kitchen, we love you and we will be back. read more

It's hard to find a good restaurant in queen creek, as there are not many options. It was nice to have enjoyed dinner at Palma. Palma is located in the country club of the residences and what a treat it is to them! Staff was friendly. Unfortunately we did not have a reservation and it seemed they were trying to find us a table indoor but still ended up sitting outside (a little odd since there were many tables for 2 available). Anyway, my husband and I started off w/ a drink to cool off (hats off to the bartender). We then shared the cheesy bread - very delish! My husband enjoyed the fried fish with a side of fries and I enjoyed their chicken pasta - very tasty but too much going on. Overall it was a good dining experience and I do recommend the restaurant, just make sure you have a reservation. read more

Overlooks a beautiful golf course and is very roomy and big windows that can see out onto the course. Food was hot, delicious, and served within 20 minutes of being seated and drinks were served right away. Water was great on a hot day. Bartender Sarah was attentive and very with it working behind the bar. Lunch hour was fairly busy but not overbooked. They take reservations here. If you like a relaxed atmosphere and well taken care of by staff. This is the place to come and relax on a Saturday afternoon. Watched golf, and hockey, softball on their TVs at the bar. Really nice to talk to my wife and still hear background music . Thoroughly enjoyed this place and we will be back. Good Caesar's salad and an excellent prime rib dip but not enough aujus but the bartender went to the back to get more. The sweet potato fries were awesome. We went here for Mother's Day brunch and I was surprised at how poor the service was considering they were charging premium prices--over $300 for four including tax and the 20% gratuity. We had to sit outside and they didn't have misters and the umbrella didn't cover the entire table. One of the four wicker chairs didn't have a cushion. Some tables had fly fans and others didn't (we were told we'd get one and didn't). They tried to take our coffee order and then informed us the coffee bar was inside--and it was out of coffee, not once but twice. The rest of the food was decent (though the egg fritatta was cold, which is quite a feat considering how hot it was outside), and the omlet was worth the half-hour wait in line. I also liked the desserts. But if you're going to charge premium prices, it'd be nice if the service was a little bit better. read more

But as of first of year, only members are now allowed to sit at the bar which me and my wife often liked to do. It doesn't matter how busy they are - that's their policy. I love this place. Food is very good and even though it feels a bit fancy, the prices are very good. It is a great date night place. My favorite thing to get is the chicken fried chicken, and their mashed potatoes are amazing. A few things that I have learned after going there a few times: 1. Even though it is a restaurant in Encantera, you do not have to be a member to eat there. 2. They do have a dress code. Nothing major, but men can not wear a hat after 5pm, and they don't want anyone in a tank top. There is other stuff, but i dont remember. 3. Yes, they do allow kids and have a kids menu. As of now, kids meals are only $6, which is a steal in my book. 4. They do not make Brussel sprouts on Sundays. No idea why. 5. Reservations are strongly suggested, but can be made easily online. 6. They have good happy hour specials. 7. You can bring your own wine. Lots of people do. Not sure what the cork fee is though. read more

The food is solid here every time we go. Pot roast is delicious and they have a creative drink menu (old fashioned with cotton candy and an espresso martini were our choices). The hostess and waitstaff were extremely accommodating, as we brought a baby, and they were gracious in helping us. We've been here twice, and it's one of our favorite places in Queen Creek. Went to Encanterra to see what it's all about. Decided to eat at their restaurant. The menu is not overly deep, but I had at least 6 options I could have easily chose. I got the French Dip and my wife got the short rib roast with mash potatoes. Both were outstanding. Restaurant was a little on the loud side. We have lived in San Tan Valley for 4 years, and just tonight we finally checked lit Palma Kitchen + Tap. WHY have we not visited sooner?! This place is incredible! Even though the restaurant is located in Encanterra (a gated 55+ community), we discovered that it is open to the public. I would highly recommend making a reservation, as it was VERY busy at 8:30 on a Friday night. We arrived 10 minutes early, and were seated immediately. The restaurant and bar area are beautifully decorated, with a warm, sort of modern Tuscan atmosphere. The menu has so many tempting choices that we had a hard time decoding what to order. Everything that the wait staff brought out on trays looked incredible. We ended up deciding on the shrimp cocktail appetizer, the short rib pot roast, and butter cake for dessert. Portion sizes are large, and extremely reasonably priced. Even having shared our meal, we were unable to finish it all. Everything was expertly prepared, gorgeously plated, and beyond delicious! Staff was attentive, and very friendly, despite the fact that bingo had just let out, obviously making the restaurant very busy. Our waitress (Kim) was absolutely amazing! She was so welcoming, and went out of her way to make up for our food not being brought out in the correct order, even though we assured her that we didn't mind. Never had an experience here better than a 3. Today was a 2 star. We have family in the community and live nearby so we are here several times per year. First, the good stuff. We were seated 15 minutes early and at a larger booth than we needed. The redesign has been nice but the place wasn't shabby before just less open. Next, the "meh". Several dishes and a new drink on the menu were unavailable. The waitress seemed fairly clueless and disappeared a lot. On to the "blah". The best part of the food was the cabbage and onion slaw with chili dressing that was UNDER our starter which was the Lemongrass Potstickers. The under seasoned fish and chips were cooked in oil that was too cold so it was soggy and oozed grease. The Yakisoba noodle dish is advertised as vegetarian but pretty much was just noodles and sauce. None of the mentioned veg like bok choy were anywhere to be seen. Fairly certain they are tossing the noodles in Yoshida and calling it a day. And the finale. We spoke to a manager since she stopped by and asked how things were. We told her about the shortcomings of the food. We asked her to bring us a chocolate cake that was on the menu. She said OK and she didn't speak with us again despite seeing her several times. Cake didn't come so we gave up and asked for our check. The server who hadn't been seen in 30 minutes said "oh? I thought you have cake coming?" We told her it never arrived. Checked the bill and the manager did comp our entrees so we left a nice tip for the waitress. The port mortem here is really a question for you to consider. Why do you go to a restaurant like this? We went with an expectation to have good food and service. The comp was nice but we don't really care about the money. The company that manages this place on behalf of Shea and Encanterra needs to be replaced. It is poorly managed, the staff is poorly trained, and the food is sub par. read more

My family and I did not have a good dining experience in December 2022. After addressing my concerns, Director Cornelius invited me back and promised a different experience. We were seated near the fire in the dining room and had the absolute best server. If possible ask to be seated in Desiree P.'s section.
