This hospital needs to learn how to be honest and when they make a BIG mistake, they need to take the responsibility for it. My husband was scheduled to have surgery and went in as directed and prepped for the surgery. Moments before they put him under the surgery was stopped. It seems that the lady who is in charge of seeing that everything is ready, and all equipment is there failed to do so. She forgot to order the prob that was needed so the operation could not happen. I questioned her about having to pay for this, she said there would be no charge. Well, they billed my insurance over $27,000. Now when I brought it to their attention today it was oh well, we have to charge for him being prepped. That's a lot of money just to prep someone. Don't you think so. (Wouldn't have even been there if they would have notified us and the doctor that they made a big mistake). I say the employee that messed up should have to pay for it. It was her fault that the surgery was not done and not ours or our insurance company. We didn't mess up, she did. And because she messed up my husband had to wait two months for a new date. He suffered a lot of pain, and the mass grew in size. This is just very wrong. I believe if you are in the business of helping people that you should do it. I even ask for a number to talk to a supervisor and she said I would have to email or mail my complaint. What a racket! If you have a choice to go to another hospital I would. read more

Wow! Let me start off by saying security sucks!!! Please fear for your life while being sick. These Emergency room is a joke, seems like 99%of staff are unfriendly and rude. They call your name like 50 billion times, take you to the back and back on out to the waiting room. Expect to wait 6 hours for nothing and for doctor to just tell you there's nothing wrong with you, and with ATTITUDE! !!!!!! There was a doctor who I forgot his name but let me describe him to you. He was tall bald and black, well whatever doctor he was he has awfully rude that even the RN told us sorry. Just the experience was horrifying, staff members seem non friendly and no self motivation. This hospital doesn't deserve stars, they deserve to all take a class for (how to treat sick ER patients ) and have great talking skills and most of all how to be professional skilled nurses. 1. Security sucks 2. Doctor w/no manners 3. Nurses annoyed w/patients 4. Vending machines w/ no food Overall my experience was the worst. I know it's first come first served in ERs, based on medical priority. But when you arrive at 5:30 AM in severe pain and the testing gets done promptly but by 3:30 PM you still have not been seen, there's something wrong. I called medical records the next day to request copies of the testing results for my doctor and was told I would have to come in person and fill out a request. People die and they just go about their business, doing "their jobs!" It's like a 3rd world country and I for one hate it. read more

So i want ro start this review by saying the security is horrible.I had a good experience with the staff except for one and he was a short bald RN.Antelope valley hospital is like this when you go to their ER Security is right there making sure everything is everything but palmdale's ER has a door you go into and you will not see security until you turn a corner and i found them to be very playful toward one another and not really checking the blind spot at all.After being there five hours i came out to wait for my ride when this crazy guy came from out of nowhere and started talking about f ur kind which happened to be his kind but of a different sex.I stood up for myself and he proceeded to go inside and tried to fight the security guard.In closing if that guy would've hurt me security would not have been around.Palmdale needs to get with the program this is inexcusable.People shouldnt have to go through this when they are already in a bad health situations. They need to tighten up. read more
