Such a vibe! The service is great and the food is even better- ESPECIALLY THE PEACH COBBLER. My goodness! And you're not going to find a better place to get fried lobster at this price.

After reading so many rave reviews about Palmer's Eatery in Austell, my husband and I finally made our way out there for dinner--and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! Before I even get to the food, I have to say--the people there are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better! Now let's talk about the food... From the moment I saw photos online, I had a feeling it was going to be good, but oh my goodness! it was even better than expected! I ordered the hibachi with chicken , and my husband got the shrimp and okra --both dishes were seasoned perfectly, cooked just right, and absolutely delicious! The outdoor seating area also adds to the experience--such a great vibe with a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! #PalmersEatery #AustellEats #FoodieFind #SouthernEats #HibachiVibes #ShrimpLovers #SupportLocal #DinnerDate #FoodieLife #5StarEats #OutdoorDining #WorthTheDrive

First impression visit. Party of 12. 5:30PM on a Saturday…read more Free parking lot! No validation required. Easy to park. We ordered the crab cake, rockafeller oysters, Calamari, fried whiting with corn and coleslaw, fried oysters with Zucchini fries and fried corn, crab legs, and salmon with cajun rice and fried corn. I paid for everything except the calamari and the fried oysters and my total was $92.91 before tip. Pros There was music playing. Enough to hear and dance to but can still have a conversation. The environment and contemporary decor is nice. The service was great. Our waiter, Dashawn, is kind and attentive. He made us feel like we were his only table, which is hard to do with a large party. He was always there when a drink was needed and we never waited too long before he would show up again to ask if everything was okay. The food is good. My salmon was grilled perfectly and the portion sizes on the fried fish are huge. On the fried whiting, we received 3 fried fillets as long as the plate along with the 2 sides. The fried corn was interesting and I thought it was delicious. It gave a savory crunch to the sweet corn inside and the coating wasn't too thick. Cons 20% gratuity on all tables AND to go orders. Please note there are rules with this establishment. The calamari was seasoned very well but it wasn't as hot as I thought it should be. It was warm- not cold but not hot. The cajun rice was again, seasoned very well, but it left a puddle of grease on my plate. You can see it in my pictures on the right side of the salmon. 10. Would I Recommend: Yes, just be aware of the rules and tipping policy. Ask for Dashawn, if available. Follow me here on Yelp and @jessreviewss on Tik Tok/Instagram for more.

The portions were large but the food was average....nothing that stood out to call cajun cuisine. The band was good but the volume was too loud and we couldn't hear ourselves talking amongst the table.

I wanted catfish, white bread, yellow rice, 3 pieces of fried shrimp and a wing... LMAO specific I know. But I got 2 pieces of catfish on white bread w yellow rice, 6 pieces of fried shrimp and 3 whole wings with 4 hush puppies... THE BACK IS BIG GUYS... But these were the quantities that could be ordered... I split it into to two meals and zested it up... The rice couldve used more seasoning, BUT I was home so I added it, HA... 2 perfect meals lol. $30. I went the the drive through and the service took forever! But I also think the van in front of me bought the whole kitchen because theirs took forever and looked like a family family dinner order... And I wasn't mad it is all cooked fresh. The inside had people sitting so you can dine in... But I was looking forward to laying accross my bed sniper style... The plate didnt stand a chance!

The empty parking lot should have been my clue. I grew up in SW Atl westend and remember Yasin fish on Abernathy which has been Ameen's Fish for a while now. Although it was not Yasin, it was not bad. Well the Ameens Fish on Veterans Pkwy more specifically the perch and flounder was a hot mess. The tasteless perch was fried in tasteless batter super hard with the fish being hard and awful. The founder only redeemable quality was it had some taste and the batter was better. The sides of red beans & rice and onion rings had some of a taste when doused in hot sauce and tartar sauce. The hushpuppies were delicious. I should have just waited for Bay Breeze who never disappoint The score is a 0

Although the exterior wasn't calling my name, the online menu and Yelp reviews let me know that it was worth the quick walk over to kill some time. Upon entry, JG looks like a seafood spot. Nothing too special or fancy, but it got the job done. There were over a dozen tables and booths inside, more than enough seating for hungry patrons. When I visited, there was a party of about 5 people, a group of 3 on their way out and a pair sitting inside eating lunch. The menu offers a variety of fried seafood options, wings, desserts and more - a little something for everyone. Prices weren't super cheap for the combos, it was actually interesting because they were all $15 or so across the board with very little variation, lol. The seafood dinners on their own were a few bucks less, pretty reasonable. I opted to keep it light as I knew I shouldn't be loading up on fried food and went with the 3 wing kid's meal with fries, coleslaw and a soda. In less than 10 minutes my number was called and my order was ready. Let me say - it was delicious! My meal was hot and fresh out of the fryer which was perfect because I decided to sit down there and eat. The fries were a big surprise as they were thick with a little extra batter, not soggy in any way and delicious. My wings? Fabulous. I opted for seasoning and their special seasoning was more lemon peppery than expected, but I loved it. The wings were perfectly fried, moist and a great portion. The gentleman who took my order was also extremely helpful and welcoming, definitely a great customer service experience. All in all, I'm glad I decided to wait for my tow truck here and happy I got a great meal while I did so!
