Nice little park by the bridge, access is a little tricky since you can get in directly off of the bridge by the police station but you can also go to the light and then turn off to get into it. They have facilities but they are not open on the weekends which is a little drag. They have electric car charging stations in the parking lot. You can walk along the river/beach or also around the fields. Worth checking out if you've never been. read more

Palmyra Cove Nature Walk is a nice nature spot for a walk on their clean trail. On the trail has beautiful trees, flowers, a lake near by, & deers to see, it's a beautiful view. It has a lot to sight see here as well. If you want to take a nice stroll somewhere this place is the spot. The perfect place for a walk! Super family friendly with beautiful trails both wooded and along the waterfront. Lots of parking as well. It was so relaxing, peaceful and quiet! We even saw some wildlife while there (a garden snake that gave my mom a bit of a fright)! So many fun paths to explore and a great way to spend an active afternoon outdoors. read more

It is so nice to walk in a park where there is no dog poop or dogs! Whoever manages this park does a great job. The trails are well defined and take you through all the different habitats. There is even beach along the Delaware river to explore. We saw our first ever groundhog crawling around in the brush! This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and industry all along the Delaware river. Highly recommend! read more

I visited PCNP this past weekend for the first time, ever. Despite driving over the Palmyra/Tacony bridge numerous times I never realized that this spacious park was right below it. I came for the purpose of seeing migrating birds and wasn't disappointed. There were lots of other birders on the trails and we all were pointing things out to each other. For the most part the trails are pretty flat, so there isn't a lot of "hiking" to be had. But there are a good amount of trails that you can easily get lost on. I used Google Maps on my phone to see all the trails and where they led and intersected. Make sure your phone has some juice before going if you're not directionally inclined. The parking lot is pretty small but people parked all along the grass, too. I was disappointed they didn't have any bathrooms or port-a-potties. I also think their "trail map" could be bigger/more helpful than it was. While there is a beach area it is not that big or clean, and I only saw one heron and one egret. It seems like most of the activity takes place in the woods. Overall this is a decent day-trip and one that's worth checking out if you like the outdoors. read more

It's been a stressful Spring for me, so I made a point recently of taking time to visit Palmyra Cove Nature Park; I figured a nice dose of nature would be just what the doctor ordered, and it totally was! This was my first visit, but I was pleased enough that I'm already planning to return for some more hiking. I particularly enjoyed the quantity and diversity of the wildlife I saw while hiking. I counted no less than twenty deer, and more beavers, turtles, wild turkeys and geese than you shake a stick at :-) There are some very nice historical displays at the Nature Center with information about both the history of the area and of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. More importantly for those of you (like me) who love to hike, there are a number of different trails many of which will take you along the bank of the Delaware River. My only complaint is the fact that there's far too much trash and litter strew all around the park by thoughtless visitors. When you visit here, please take the time to pack out your trash and leave things as beautiful as you find them. read more

Never knew this place existed- my brother told me about it while we went to get donuts. Behind the main road over the bridge you'll find this nature area. It was a little nature hideaway which also taught you about trees and birds as well as a little about Philadelphia and the making of the bridge. Took a few pix, learned a little bit then walked back to where there was like it's only little beach area. It was so peaceful and calming- a little beach area with the view of the bridge and the city. There's also fishing and people lounging by the river. And there's an area where a bunch of geese have migrated. Didn't spend too much time here- but just enough to explore a little of it. There's also trails that I'd love to walk the next one I come as well as fishing I'd love to do as well. Was a nice little trip and im glad I went since now I know where it is and can drive there with my daughter one day soon so she can learn something new. read more

Beautiful nature area where you can walk or ride your bikes. So many trails to explore and so much wildlife to see. We saw 2 baby skunks waddling across the trail on our visit. You also have access to the Delaware River along the Tacony bridge so we walked back along the beach. People fish, clam and some even swim. *shudders* Great area with trails and lakes. You may see fox, deer, all kinds of birds, wells turkey, and a whole lot more. Area is so quiet and peaceful. Great place to take the kids for a hike or just somewhere to clear your head. read more

This is a great trail especially to practice social distancing right now. You are right near the river if you feel like walking along that path or you can walk through numerous trails through the wooded areas. Love this park! I have been coming for years and I even saw it as a kid before it really opened up. The trails are always kept clean (they even send someone to plow in the winter when it snows) and there is so much wildlife! Deer are everywhere, beavers, groundhogs, hawks, owls - it's a really great place to watch for animals and get in a nice long walk outside. I think I take a different route every time. Such a beautiful walk in nature and breathe of fresh air to clear ur head. The deer got so close to me i could almost pet them which was amazing to see them in a natural habitat. The water fews are very calming to just sit and relax for a little after walking for a while. Only downfall is seeing a dirty used needle which was a huge disappointment for me, id hope they go and clean up a tad for the children and animals. read more

What a nice little relaxing park right across the Bridge from me. Great place to take a little walk and meditate a little bit. Awesome place to view the Delaware river and look across and see my neighborhood. We come here once in a while with the kids and sometimes without them. This is a great place to walk. If you love the outdoors, water, deer, butterflies, birds, etc. This is your place. Peaceful and safe.

An excellent little nature park right on the river. There's a little indoor area with info about all the animals. Area for cookout right near the parking lot. Plenty of trails and places for fishing. I'm docking a star because they don't allow pets, id rather ask forgiveness than permission so I brought her anyway. read more

So was invited to a meditation walk here. Ok easy drive from Philly over the Tacony Palmyra bridge and a quick right then another right and you are there. There's some kind of building there, no idea what it was. Anyhow, we start the nature walk w/ meditation and its great. Rainforest morning, plenty of foliage and saw a deer, not too shabby. Peaceful doing my mindful walk. Ok so we walk as a group for about 20 mins then head to the beach to walk back. Picking up straws along the way that kill fish. Not bad . So I start looking around and behold there is the most incredible display of driftwood and fallen tree driftwood roots I have ever seen. Did I say this is most incredible collection of driftwood ever. I mean I've been all over the Bahamas and Caribbean, and Nature Cove wins hands down for Driftwood spectacular displays... Each new display is more incredible than the next. Check it out. And beach is great to wall on. Some people waded into water. I guess it looked OK. Check it out. What a wonderful and special place. We have just become members and are thankful that we did, so much to do and see there. The office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Very nice place to have lunch and meditate. All the trails are well maintained and well-marked. We enjoyed everything there.
