When she told me I'd drawn her card for isolation, I just wanted to know which card it was, and my curiosity felt unwelcome. She allows audio recordings but not photos/recordings of the tarot cards, which struck me as odd since tarot is such a visual practice. The astrology was light on the major transits for my year ahead and heavy on obscure asteroids, and the session kept drifting into my past and family including repeated questions about my retired mom's dream job when I'd come specifically to talk about my future + love life. I left feeling more deflated than enlightened. There's nothing she told me about my chart that I didn't already know from having astrology as a hobby, except the obscure asteroid stuff, which wasn't useful to me. Then after the session she revealed she'd been working from the wrong birthday for my love interest, which meant about 25 minutes of the reading were useless. If you're after a straight gifted psychic reader, a serious astrologer who does full birth-chart-and-transits forecast reports, or a tarot reader who lets you inspect the cards, I'd look for someone who specializes in each separately. Someone who claims to be all three is probably too good to be true, as I feel that was the case here. I did come in with tarot + astrology knowledge and strong intuition of my own, though, so someone newer to all this may get more out of it than I did.

I paid for a solar return reading for a loved one from Steven Shroyer. It was such a disappointment. First off, Steven screwed up the date for the in-person reading and ended up doing a phone call about a week later. Second, he said he was recording the session and would email the recording to my loved one for reference. He never did. And maybe that was a good thing for Steven, because he certainly wouldn't be proud to have a recording like that out in the world. Third, this was supposed to be a solar return reading. Steven defines it on his website: "A Solar Return reading is a fantastic way to familiarize yourself with the energies that you can expect to encounter during your coming year." But that is not what my loved one received, although he did ask Steven what was up this coming year, about his health in the coming year, what were the energies this coming year. Steven didn't say. My loved one gained no insights into the coming year whatsoever. Instead, Steven shared the insane ravings of a person so far down the conspiracy theory hole that either he's seriously losing it OR what he shared was really actually military secrets of the US Dept of Defense that some very stupid person who is very soon going to be in very deep trouble for sharing with such a blabbermouth (because Steven shared "military secrets" for nearly an hour) who told my loved one that aliens were crawling under the earth, erasing human memory, fiddling with human DNA, and living on the moon, which was never a moon, but always a space ship. (First Pluto, now the Moon, what does that do to a person's chart?) Another astrologer did his solar return chart after this debacle and saw none of that.
