I've just started bringing my Cat, Twinkle here for Nail Trimming after my Vet stopped doing it. I love the convenience of the walk in (1-4pm Tuesday - Friday) and the Ladies are very efficient. Depending on if there's other ahead of you there may be a short wait but as the Trimming itself is very quick you can still be in and out within minutes. I'm grateful Pampered Pet grooms my cat and I can normally get him in pretty quickly: They charged less than others I've gone to, but I also don't ask for any specialty grooms, just typical remove mats and trim nails for my long hair. I've never given a bad review but.... I had been going to Pampered Pet in Tracy off and on since they opened with the dogs I have now and Barkley, my previous dog I had for over 14 years. Barkley got razor rash once & had a problem after his anal glads expressed long ago at Pampered Pet which resulted in vet visit both times, but other than those two episodes, I was satisfied and just wrote those two problems off as flukes until....I took my teacup Maltese there last September (2025). His first couple appointments were fine, but the last, he looked terrible, like a different dog. People who saw him afterwards thought it WAS a different dog, an old dog, not my cute little 9 month old Maltese. When I brought him in, I told Michelle I didn't want his face touched much at all, to leave his "mustache" and wanted his ear hair trimmed shorter, like a puppy. Well, they did the exact opposite; they left the ears long and SHAVED his face. He wasn't matted or anything. I paid the bill, including a $20 tip BEFORE they brought him out to me. I was in shock when they handed him to me. I left and on the drive home, I couldn't even look at him. But the more I did, the madder I got. When I got home, I immediately called Michelle and said, "you know I'm not one to complain and never have, but I was furious on the grooming job. That they did the exact opposite of what I asked and that he looked terrible." She said I could bring him back in and they'd trim his ears shorter, like I had asked, but the damage was done. I knew they couldn't glue his cute mustache and whiskers back on. All I saw when I looked at him was a dog that didn't look a thing like my cute 9 month old puppy that I had brought in. I told her I was too mad to bring him back in and I was just furious. She just said oh, okay. No offer of any compensation or anything. I had been a customer for over a decade. His fur, of course, has since grown back and he looks cute again. He is now a year and 5 months old and I take him to Muddy Paws on 10th Street now, where we have been extremely pleased AND they are a little less expensive and we've had much, much better experience every single time and much better cut than he ever had at Pampered Pet. Sorry, but it's the truth. I won't go back there. I don't know if there was miscommunication between Michelle and the groomer or what because I did tell Michelle the cut I wanted: face left alone, only cleaned up a little, leave his mustache/whiskers and trim the ears much shorter and the exact opposite was done. He was the first appointment of the day, maybe she was still half asleep, I don't know. read more

Based on the reviews I decided to bring my dog in for some services nail trim with sanding, teeth cleaning and under paw shaving and I WAS NOT IMPRESSED they took him in the back and brought him back up in less than a minute and supposedly did the nail trim and sanding along with teeth cleaning not his toe nails didn't even look like they were touched and than while on the phone she was cutting his paw hair and did a half as job will not go back. read more

First time pet owner and had a iffy experience the first time and a horrible one the second time. Whoever is greeting people and initially taking the dogs in is so rude and no matter how recently I've brought my puppy in with his coat brushed she will always make a rude comment abt not brushing enough. She even went to tell me my treatment of my dog isn't humane. I had some health issues that prolonged my ability to make an appointment this time around but there was no hesitation to shit on my dog owner abilities. she will aggressively brush my dog in front of me and he is literally yelling. Imagine how they treat the dogs during the appointment. also will never answer ur questions nicely. If I have a question abt his ears or nails or if I want to confirm that no sedation is used you can be nice about and reassure the pet owner and not be a colossal yk what. Time to find someone else. After needing a new groomer in town, we found this one on Yelp. They good reviews and we loved that they do mobile grooming, super convenient. We tried to book the mobile grooming but they were booked out so this one is for the salon appointment we had for my dog. Booking was pretty easy. I called and left a voicemail and received a phone call from Alexis the next day. I was able to book for the same week as well as receive information on what was included in the service and pricing. I received a confirmation and reminder a couple days before the appointment. My appointment was changed the day of (time) due to their schedule without my knowledge but I was able to call and change it to a more convenient time for myself. Everyone was so nice and help. Michelle checked me in and they were all welcoming to my dog which I loved. He seemed really happy with his bath and haircut. This was our first time so it wasn't exactly how we wanted but he looks good and is happy so that's what matters. We will get it right next time. I believe our groomers name was Brianna or Bianca. *They do require a deposit for first time bookings I believe.* I will update review after a couple more visits. read more

I've only been here twice but I've had a great experience both times! Two of my long-hair cats regularly get mats, which I try to brush out but sometimes they get too hard and trying to brush them out ends up hurting my fur babies. The first time I came here was last year and they gave my cat, Lee Lee, a bath and full shave. Lee Lee has a hot spot on her side, which I forgot to inform the groomer about, and she gave me a call worried about the hot spot. Her concern showed me how much she values pets and really solidified the positive experiences I had there. I forgot her name but she groomed both my cats perfectly and neither of them came home with scratches or in fear. I know cats can be more difficult to work with, so I'm glad to have found a groomer in Tracy who can handle mine confidently and make sure they feel safe. read more

I Botched Haircut I recently took my fur baby Typhoon, to Pampered Pets for a haircut. Unfortunately, what I got in return was a nightmare! The haircut was completely uneven, with small patch of fur left untouched while the rest of the areas were shaved down to the skin. Typhoon looked ridiculous after the haircut. The overall experience was a disaster, leaving me feeling like I had wasted both time and money. ($95 fee and $20 tip) The following day after i send them a text message I received a call and while explaining my frustrations she starts arguing without even apologizing, what an attitude? I would strongly advise anyone considering Pampered Pets to think twice before entrusting their furry friend to their care. Typhoon's haircut gone wrong was a traumatic experience and I will definitely not be returning. read more

If i can give this place a 0 or negative star I will. My dog came home with a big bump in his head and a cut. My dog is crate trained and even if hes excited he never had cut or a big bump! Im not buying their sht that my dog got excite and got cut in the crate. In order for a dog to get a bump it has to be a strong impact. I have never had such a terrible experience. After over charging us for our schnauzer, he came back him with the worst cut I have ever seen. It's as if they just shaved him down his back. The also over shaved on his head, where his scalp is almost visible. My coonhound came back with her ears still dirty and her nails not filed down. What exactly did they even do to my dogs because they did not get what they over paid me for. I called them and their only solution was for me to bring my dogs back. First, I love 30 minutes away from them. Secondly, these errors should not have been done in the first place. What the should have done is refunded me 50% of my payment because they only put in 50% of their work. I will no longer be taking my dogs here. Good luck to those who still do. read more

We love pampered pet. This place is busy & booked out for a reason. I called and was able to do a drop in for cutting my dogs nails last Saturday. If it's a haircut or shampoo, you can't do drop ins, appointments only. They also do mobile appointments too. Michelle was super friendly & accommodating. Right when I came in, nobody was there in the lobby, she greeted me and cut my dogs nails right then & there. They also offer teeth cleaning for dogs, for $250. I believe it's only available the 3rd Saturday of each month though. I'll continue to give Pampered Pets my business. read more

I do full Grooms for my dogs. They go easily with Michelle. In the past at other salons, my little guy would have to be dragged in and would shake with fear. With Pampered Pets he goes in easily. They always make him feel comfortable and know how to take care of dogs. They do the style I want and are always open to changing things up when I need. EMPLOYEES - All wonderful, especially Michelle! COMMUNITY - Loved when I found out they groom the shelter dogs for free to help them get adopted. Pampered Pets is truly a part of the community and cares about it's fellow neighbors and helping animals. COVID SAFE - They are doing everything they can during this crazy time to keep clients safe. Including wearing mask for dog pick up and drop off. Asking all human clients to stay in the car, while the Pampered Pets team gets your dogs from the car and brings them out to you. Found my groomer place! Moving to a new town takes a little bit work and getting used to. So my fur legged child is needing a grooming so bad. His hair is just too long and the weather is getting hotter. i feel bad for the poor thing. Upon searching different places and reading bunch of reviews online. I decided to go to this place. I got to admit, quite a bit of people reccomend this place. So when i called to try to make an appointment I was having a hard time getting a hold them. At first, im starting to get annoyed for having a hard time to get a hold of them. And when the day comes for my appointment i thought I got lost. The gps took me to the back part parking lot of food max. I couldn't see any of sign their signs. So i end up calling them to make sure im on the right place. So they're basic next to a salon in the same shopping center where food max is at. So if the gps takes you to the back parking lot, dont trip because your in the right place. So i went inside and greeted right away. I meet the owner Michelle, very nice lady. I told her what i want and show her some pictures. Surprisingly the place is small but there's quite a bit working tables and groomers working with dogs on that day. I dropped off my dog and was told that they will just text me when he is ready. 3hrs later I got a text that his ready to go. He looks very nice just the right trim like i wanted and smelling so good. Overall they did a good job! From now own this will be my grooming place for my little boy. read more
