I wanted to preserve my highlights which I had done in New York, I do this all over the world, very simple. Until I met Carlos at the Crisco salon. First, I introduced myself upon arrival and said my friends name. He never smiled at me. Not smiling at me was my experience from the entire staff for the next hour. I felt very unwelcome, still I stayed knowing how simple this procedure was. I sat in his chair and he said it's just for color right? I said yes I said just the roots, leave the highlights, I want to preserve the highlights, just the roots, leave the highlights. I was very clear but also friendly. Carlos applied my color Being very careful to apply to only the roots, I complimented his artistry in the application. When he was done applying the color to the roots he took his fingers and mushed the color all the way through my hair. I said my highlights! And he looked at me and shrugged and said your roots. He never set a timer, looked at a watch, clock or spoke to his assistants about processing time. I set my own timer for 30 minutes. At the end of processing I got up and went to the sink and asked if it could be washed out. Everyone glared at me. When Carlos came over for the blowout, which was good, he never looked at me he never asked me a word about anything. When I looked up I discovered he also did not remove the color around my forehead. I did that also. Needless to say my highlights were gone. I'm not sure what my friend sees in this place. No customer service, no glaze after the color, did not listen to what I wished for from my hair, they took the money without a word took the tip without a word, yes I tip them, that's just how it's done in New York. I am now going to Glorioso which has the highest rating for hair salons not only online, but also from local polls. I really should've checked that out in the first place to get my highlights back. I look washed out without them. Stay away from Crisco salon and Carlos.

Booking an appointment was easy, and even though it was Valentine's day weekend, we were able to lock in an appointment for two. The changing room was warm and had storage space for all our personal belongings. Alas, we were ready and as soon as I rang the bell, the best massage session began. They used a bell plate to commence and end the session which I found very soothing. The masseuse was very understanding and checked in on me throughout the massage. They use a pressure intensity rating system from 1-10 and I thought that was very helpful. For once, I was able to clearly communicate how deep I wanted the pressure. The entire experience from beginning to end was incredible. I will definitely continue visiting Green Spa when visiting Guadalajara.
