Quick, Yummy, Comfort Food At It's Best! This time around, i ordered the Vinha D'alhos & Eggs... The Pork is marinated in vinegar and gives the pork a nice tangy taste to it... i also ordered the fried rice, as well. That hot the spot, too! The Banana Pancakes are really good with the chucks of banana throughout the pancake. Come on by and bring your plastic money. no cash accepted.

I have been going to this place for many years. Today I had a delicious plate lunch. The 3 stars is because a cockroach crawled nearby. I brushed it off then saw dead cockroaches between the chairs. I took pics to show you. The food is wonderful, the menu has a wide variety of choices and has ample parking.

I've tried to come to this breakfast spot a few times and it's always been super busy on the holidays. Well, I finally got a chance to try it on a weekday and it was the perfect time to go. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. Waffles were light and tasty. Fried chicken was crisp with a nice crunch. Good flavor as you bite to it. I found it a little pricey. Overall a good place to check out when you're in the area.

Short rib stew with rice and mac.

Stopped in for comfort food after the big rains this weekend. Happy they were open. Cashier here is always friendly. Hubby often gets the short rib stew so I decided to get it, too. Note: This is a cashless establishment so be sure to bring a card. You go up to the cashier to order, pay, sit down, and they bring your order to tour table. If you don't purchase a drink, cold water that you pour yourself into small paper cups is available. Our food was served quickly since no one else was in the restaurant. (We were early, just after 5pm). The stew is served in a bowl on a plate that has your rice and salad. You can get white or brown rice, mac, potato, or green salad. They give you both a fork and a spoon because you'll want to scoop up the delicious gravy. P&W's white rice is a little dry (IMO) so dipping it into the gravy works really well. The short ribs are fork tender, you don't need a knife. Not sure if they are always boneless but today's were and they were 3/4" thick ribs, not the thinner Kalbi type. You get a decent amount of meat, along with two or three perfectly cooked potato pieces and carrot slices (not mushy), and bits of celery. All are good. Mac salad was ok. If you eat all the mac and two scoops rice with the stew it's good sized meal. The stew is 4.5 stars. Rice and mac 3.5. I hardly eat beef stew at restaurants, but will make an exception when it's made with short ribs!

Great brunch spot with generous portions and friendly vibes! We came to Pancake & Waffle for brunch around 10am on a Sunday. The area has plenty of parking, tucked between several venues, which made arrival stress-free. The restaurant was packed and the line to order was long, but surprisingly efficient. We didn't wait long to place our order. We got the full stack blueberry pancakes ($13.95) and the fried rice special with bacon ($13.25). The pancakes were massive, fluffy, and full of flavor, definitely shareable unless you're really hungry. The fried rice was a standout: savory, well-seasoned, and satisfying enough to be a full meal on its own. The bacon and scrambled eggs were a great bonus. The space was clean and casual. You seat yourself, and the staff works hard to keep tables cleared so guests can settle in while waiting for food. After ordering, you're given a number and the food is brought out to your table. Overall, great food, great experience, and easy parking.

Depends who helps you at the counter. Service can be quite unappealing that makes you not wanna go back. Knocked off a star.

Honestly, very disappointing. I've been to the Denny's in Waikiki, and I've had breakfast there before. That place was also very bad -- but this was somehow even worse. The food was overpriced and poorly presented, and it came out almost instantly, which made it feel like it had been sitting there already. The quality was extremely poor. The bacon was cold, with barely any butter on it. The toast was sloppily plated and honestly tasted like leftover bread that had been toasted multiple times. The coffee was served in a plain paper cup and tasted like it had been kept on a warmer for hours. This was $4.50 per cup. My husband ordered the mini breakfast plate, and I ordered the French toast plate. With two coffees, the total came to $47 and tax with a 20% tip, it was about $59 for breakfast for 2 adults. For that price, we expected basic freshness and care. Instead, it felt like we were being served leftovers. Very disappointing overall.

I ordered brekkie from here this morning for take out. Got their fried rice special that comes with bacon and eggs. Also ordered side of their corn beef hash. This totally hit the spot. I love breakfast foods. I can eat breakfast anytine if the day!

This was my second visit, and once again, they did not disappoint! The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always pleasant to talk to. The restaurant has such a cozy, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The only downside is that the space is quite small, so if you don't come early, you'll likely have to wait a bit for a table -- but honestly, it's worth it. The pancakes are light and fluffy, the syrup is rich and delicious, and the over-easy eggs are cooked to perfection. And whatever you do, don't forget to order the fried chicken -- the portions are huge, the meat is juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. Pretty much their whole menu offers a great variety, and a lot of their dishes are downright DELISH! From sweet breakfast classics to savory comfort favorites, there's something for everyone. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. You can truly taste the care they put into their food and service. This spot has easily become one of my go-to favorites -- perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch with family and friends. So if you're visiting Oahu like I am, take a cruise to this restaurant for great, local meals.

Pancakes & Waffles BLD is an affordable, big portions, kind + quick service kinda spot! The food is good and very reasonable. I enjoyed the extremely fast service and it was so delicious too!

Pancakes and Waffles BLD is located in the Waimalu Shopping Plaza. Tons of parking. As we walked towards the establishment i noticed it wasn't to busy. 3 people. I thought that was odd. As we walked in the restaurant the ambiance was great! Colors was bright and spacious. My wife ordered for us the cashier was very friendly and helpful. This was breakfast time and I got the bacon, eggs and fried rice. Wifey got Portuguese sausage, eggs and fried rice. It looked very yummy. But sadly my food was ok. My wife thought the fried rice was ono and the sausage was good. But her eggs was eh. I wasn't thrilled about the fried rice, my scrambled eggs had no taste and my bacon didn't have taste either. Idk i wasn't happy and I love breakfast. Bottom line would I come back? Maybe not. I would rather try somewhere else first.

Double cheese burger…read moredeluxe with dirty sauce The Grilled Apostle: 6/10 Ordered the double cheeseburger deluxe with dirty sauce from Forty Niner Restaurant. It looked huge and inviting. The burger itself tasted good as it was cooked with bread mixed in it to make it soft but once you started eating it, the burger fell apart. The bun was thin so it was messy as the sauce and burger started falling out and you needed a lot of napkins. Some people like it messy but it's not my thing. The onions and pickles were a perfect match. Too much American cheese. ________________________________________________ The Premium Purists: 5/10 I was looking forward to trying the burger at Forty Niners and hoped it would be an old fashioned/traditional style deluxe burger. It definitely had the look and right toppings but the patty was a little disappointing. After my first two bites the patties crumbled into pieces and the texture seemed off. It was too mushy and lacked good beef flavor. After learning they mix breadcrumbs in their burger patty, I think the patties I got were not mixed well and the ratio of beef and breadcrumb was off. That is probably why the texture was off, it lacked beef flavor, and crumbled. I would honestly give it another try and go with a single patty. ________________________________________________ The stack analyst: 7/10 Tried the double cheeseburger(dirty style) at 49ers and it was delicious. The fried pickles were the highlight for me. I love fried pickles and they worked really well on the burger. They also didn't hold back on the caramelized onions, which added flavor. The burger had four slices of cheese, so it was definitely rich. The patty had a nice sear on the outside, it did fall apart though. I would've liked a little more salt, but I know that comes down to preference. Bun was nothing special, just your standard setup, but it got the job done. I'd definitely come back and order it again! ________________________________________________ Double stack daddy: 6/10 The burger had a solid foundation, but it was missing flavor and could've used more seasoning. The biggest downside was the bun--it fell apart after the first bite, making the rest of the meal messy. Not a bad burger, but it didn't stand out, and there's definitely room for improvement. ________________________________________________ Bruddah big buns: 4/10 Da patty was mushy. ________________________________________________ Captain messy hands, keeper of the drip: 8/10

Daughter had the salad, was delicious as always with mixed greens, tomato, and good dressing. Can't go wrong. We were both bowled over by how nice and crunchy/crispy the breading on the chicken cutlet was and how tender the chicken was. Mushrooms really added umami flavor. BCD nailed it with this dish! Hubby had French toast and he enjoyed it. you order two of the weekly specials you get a choice of desserts - BCD signature bread pudding or the brownie pie ala mode. We choose the brownie pie and we're so impressed by how amazing it looked - Anela made it beautiful - and how awesome it tasted. Decadent chewy fudge brownie, Dave's vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, all drizzled with chocolate syrup and dusted with powdered sugar. This was to die for! Highly recommend it and the chicken cutlet. Only complaint was the music was so loud it was difficult to talk to the others at our table and to hear our server. Ambiance, well It's your typical old school coffee shop with their traditional menu items that they've served for years, nothing special about the place except the food. No frills. Hubby ordered one of the daily specials: pot roast. It's pretty good, tender, gravy is tasty, mac salad is decent, and if it's Saturday he always gets it. Very home style. Serving size is good. I got the mini oxtail soup, no green onions. Came with plenty of cilantro, four pieces of ox tail (one large, two medium, one small), pretty good for a mini, and a few peanuts. Oxtail pieces were almost fall off the bone but not quite. Flavor of the meat and broth was delicious. They have a container of ginger shoyu sauce on the table, but I'd you want only ginger you need to ask, which they bring quickly, but don't ask if you want it so if the server is busy you need to wait. They have three sizes - mini, regular, XL. XL comes with 4 scoops rice. The others come with 2. You can order extra broth for $2, and other options such as Saimin Ixtail, but I forgot what they all were. One thing I especially like about Kapiolani's oxtail soup is the ginger is grated, not minced like some other establishments. I enjoy oxtail soup at several places but this is my go to because of taste, grated ginger, different sizes based on my preference for the day, and it's in Aiea and conveniently located for me.

Super disappointed with the crazy service tonight…read more I placed an order outside using the kiosk for just a chicken katsu special at 5:52 PM since it was crowded inside and ended up waiting 45 minutes for that one plate. It wasn't just the waiting, it was the service and lack of communication that pushed it over. After placing my order, I entered the restaurant and waited on the side since there wasn't a place to sit and wait. The worker who was stationed at the front soon came back and asked "How can I help you?" and I mentioned that I ordered on the kiosk outside and she walked away without saying anything. Around 10 minutes in I noticed the worker mentioning to every person in line only after they tried to order that the wait would be 30 minutes for anything on the grill since they had a big order. The questions that came to mind every time a person attempted to order was "why wouldn't she tell them that they would have to wait 30 minutes from the beginning before they even tried to order so they could reevaluate if their orders needed the grill?" And "what items are not on the grill?" Every person in line would get frustrated as she wouldn't even show what items didn't need the grill.. They would say "Okay I want to order this instead" and she would keep saying "that's on the grill so you have to wait 30 minutes." Like they were supposed to know.. Who wouldn't get frustrated? Time went on and I found myself still waiting at 6:30 PM. When i heard her mentioning the chicken katsu wouldn't take long since it's not on the grill. No update, just me sitting on those high chairs obviously waiting for my order. It's worse because you don't get a buzzer for using the kiosk. I decided to ask about my order but still had to wait in line to talk to that same worker. When it was eventually my turn, I said "I wanted to check on my order" and showed her a picture of the kiosk with the order number because the kiosk didn't print a receipt for me and rudely responded with "Your order's already ready" and just handed it to me.. Excuse me? No one even bothered to tell me it was ready and she spoke to me like I was supposed to know it was ready. How long was it ready that I was wasting my time waiting there? Also, please fix the option on the kiosk when you select the chicken katsu; it should have the option or be defaulted with "White rice & mac salad" like your app. The kiosk is misleading and doesn't say you don't need to select "all rice" or the other up-charge options. So when she gave it to me and she said all rice I explained to her that I thought it was making me choose an option and she got defensive and said "No it doesn't." She eventually took it to the back to put mac salad then returned and rudely told me "Next time just don't select an option." Wow. It was not my fault that no one called me to tell me my order was ready. It was not my fault there was a flood of orders during dinner time. I like Oh My Grill but please do better with the customer service, especially with the person who's in charge at the front. I understand that it gets overwhelming when it's busy but the communication and customer service was just the worst. No one deserves to be treated like that especially when we come often. This was such a horrible experience.. Maybe won't come back for a while.

Words cant even describe how delicious the food is at this local spot. Its best to call ahead of…read moretime to get a time slot to show up once you place a phone order. The service is faster that way. Otherwise you will be waiting in line for a long time. Its take-out only. I order the Firecracker Chicken. It is a decent size portion and amazing! Super ono! Highly recommend trying the Kiawe wood steak. Really great option! Support your local restaurants.

@fortunefoodfinds: "You set my heart on FIYAH! A Spicy/Fire Combo (Spicy Ahi & Firecracker Chicken)…read morew/added Lup Cheong Fried Rice n' a side of Mac Salad from QUEEN ST. Café & Grill in Aiea. This plate lunch brings da heat n' is full of flavor. Each bite was onolicious n' one that you'll savor!" SERVICE: friendly n' fully staffed INTERIOR: one person/party can enter at a time. No dine-in; just order n' pay. EXTERIOR: in the same plaza/across from Dipped by Dee. Line forms to the right when facing store. Two benches in the line n' two tables with chairs to the left. WAIT TIME: highly recommend making a phone order n' if you can pre-pay over the phone too, even better. Placed phone order at 12pm on a Saturday, was told a 1 hour wait. Got there around 12:55pm n' the line was maybe 10 parties deep. After waiting 30 minutes, entered store to pay n' receive food. In total, about 1.5 hrs. Suggest getting in line immediately after placing phone order bc if unpaid, still gotta get in line to pay. PARKING: free lot that was completely full during our visit, tiny spaces. OVERALL COMMENTS: portion was huge; more than enough for two people. Plate was heavy. They don't skip on the fried rice n' chicken. Spicy ahi was definitely spicy, the kine heat you can't stop eating. The firecracker chicken was yuMmmy n' saucy. They gave at least 6-7 good size pcs. Maybe a combo of sriracha mayo n' sweet chili sauce. You get it all: sweet, savory, with a slight heat. Now the lup cheong fried rice was so good. Not dry at all n' very flavorful. The potato Mac salad was a good cool down n' to cleanse the palate. I'm already wanting it all again, which means everything was Ono!
