Coming from someone who is Lao, Oy's Thai is the most authentic, delicious, consistent Thai spot…read morethat we have found in the south suburbs. Their prices are extremely reasonable, the quality and amount of food you receive is like down to a science. They offer ~$9.00 lunch specials every weekday until 3pm (and specials for students) it really doesn't get any better than that like wow! The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and the food comes out fresh and hot. What else could you possibly ask for. We'll continue to recommend Oy's to our friends for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine.

Oy's came highly recommended--and honestly, it more than lived up to the hype. As someone not super…read morefamiliar with Thai cuisine, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but everything from the flavors to the portions was top-notch. We ordered for pickup and the food was ready in just 15 minutes. The inside felt modern and minimal, with limited seating and a steady crowd of diners and takeout customers, which is always a good sign. We tried the shrimp spring rolls, chicken Pad Thai, drunken noodles with chicken, and the chicken pineapple fried rice. First off, those shrimp spring rolls? 10/10. Super fresh, light, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. The Pad Thai--Oy's signature dish--was the highlight. Easily the best I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The drunken noodles were right behind it--loaded with flavor and a sneaky little heat. We went with the normal spice level, but beware: those little red peppers pack a serious punch. (Keep a tissue handy... or a glass of milk. Or both.) The pineapple fried rice was solid. Not quite as bold or savory as Chinese-style fried rice, but still tasty and a nice complement to the spicier mains. Overall, Oy's delivers some of the best Thai food in the south suburbs. The menu is short and sweet, but every dish is cooked to order--and it shows. If you're new to Thai food or just looking to level up your takeout game, this spot is absolutely worth it.

It seems the management changed and it was a very drastic change! The food lacked seasoning and was not the same China Garden that my family and I loved! It has been years now that I have been there. As I had a taste for Chinese food, I checked the reviews and it doesn't seem to have changed. I wished I did not have to go out of my neighborhood for Chinese food, yet that is the case. In cases like this I would like to think that the owners would revamp the whole taste of what it use to be. I definitely love to give credit where it's due, unfortunately I am just disappointed that there have not been any changes.

BBQ Pork Subgum has tender slices of Chinese BBQ pork stir fried with carrots, celery, baby corn, mushrooms, bok choy and snow peas in a brown gravy, topped with toasted almonds. An excellent choice if you want more veggies in your diet. There is a hint of Chinese 5 spice flavor in the dish. Sweet & Sour Chicken is always popular. Large chunks of chicken is battered and deep fried. The chicken tends to be slightly overcooked, giving it a firmer texture. However it is still good when dipped in the sauce.

I called and was told "it's already in the driver's car and should be there within 30 minutes." Thirty minutes later, still nothing. I called again and was told the exact same thing, then suddenly it became "the website quoted the wrong delivery times" and it would be another 30 minutes. At that point we felt stuck, ordering elsewhere would have taken even longer, so we waited. After two full hours, I called again. The manager got on the phone, told me it would be another 30 minutes, and offered a $50 credit for the inconvenience. Thirty more minutes passed. Now we're at 2.5 hours, still no food, and they couldn't tell me when or if it would arrive. We finally cancelled the order and ordered pizza instead. Twelve days later, I called to try to use the promised credit and was told that because we cancelled the order, the credit no longer applied. Apparently waiting over two and a half hours while being repeatedly told the driver was "on the way" doesn't count if you eventually give up. For the record, the driver clearly never had the food and was not on the way for at least an hour and a half of those calls. We live five minutes from the restaurant. This wasn't a delay, it was dishonesty and terrible customer service. We were strung along with false updates and empty promises until we finally cancelled. We will never order from Rising Sun again. Mo's Chinese food is way better anyway. We only chose Rising Sun because their site showed a shorter wait time, joke's on us. Posting this so others know exactly what to expect.

Rising Sun - Dark sweet and sour sauce, awful. It was like they cut it with soy sauce! Definitely not the same golden goodness I've had the last 20 years
