To drink I ordered the manzana juice drink, and my friend ordered a bottled water. Our Server was on it today, and she checked back with us a couple of times while h was nice. There was no wait for anything, and I would give the service here five stars. I am a big fan of Chinese food, and this restaurant definitely ranks at the top of my list. Some of the Chinese food buffets downtown do not always serve the most fresh food, but this restaurant proved to be much better by all standards.

The visually appealing black background menu is vast and could possibly appeal to all palates. These plenty of paid creativity and pro photos too good looking to be true, for top 40 Chinese American dishes were successfully developed by the greedy creative son of a Chinese restaurant owner (spinning in his grave) and a bald Jewish lawyer. But hey Ma they also have sushi! Lots of shrimp, pork, probably frozen fish and vegetables with sweetened sauces (or flavored mayonnaise) in squeeze bottles conjured up by R & D Chefs wearing white lab coats at the deep fat fryer station. Tired steamed dumplings in sweet soy, fried shrimp coated in gluey sweet and sour sauce, ramen noodles in instant soup stock with a few scallions, and weak cocktails complete the package. Course after course was a disappointment. The sopa de tallarín con huevo was essentially spaghetti in chicken stock (likely bouillon) topped with a fried scrambled egg. The wonton soup wasn't much better, served with two large slabs of dried-out, tasteless pork that were tough to cut and harder to enjoy. The wontons themselves were the worst part. Both soups were firmly one-star at $149 pesos each. The rice arrived broken, overcooked, and pasty. Another one-star addition. Then the mains. The pollo agridulce came with exactly six pieces of chicken, served cold, sitting on an iridescent bed of what I can only guess were kohlrabi or broccoli stems. The color was unholy. At $250 pesos, this was another easy one-star dish. I actually felt insulted on this. The chow mein cantonese was possibly worse. For $350 pesos, you get a pile of stems -- bok choy, broccoli, kohlrabi, cauliflower -- mixed with subpar chow mein noodles, all served cold. More of the same dry pork showed up again, mixed awkwardly with warm chicken and hot shrimp, all drenched in a gelatinous sauce. Serving stems and temperature roulette is also to me insulting. To be fair, not everything was completely terrible. The res mongolian (hopefully Inner Mongolia province in China and not nearby neighboring country Mongolia) was serviceable and reasonably tasty, though still overpriced at $250 pesos. There was a ridiculous amount of leek and green onion relative to the meat, which itself was just decent. But nothing here will do much to save Luau from itself. CDMX has extraordinary food. La atención de este lugar fue fenomenal, creo que nos pasamos de lo mucho que todos comimos. Optamos por pedir el menú de comida familiar 1 y 2, incluía comida deliciosa y variada. Todos quedamos más que satisfechos. El servicio siempre atento a traer y llevarse platos y rellenar bebidas. We ordered a bunch of different things: wonton soup, soup dumplings, peking duck, pan fried noodles, fried fish, and bok choy. Apparently bok choy was not in season so they just gave us mixed vegetables heavily doused in sauce, but what was funny about it was when we asked what it was, they said bok choy. We asked a couple of times, and they repeated it (there was no bok choy). The best dish was definitely the fried noodles. Everything else was okay; good enough but definitely nothing special. A bit on the pricey side for Mexico City and slow service, but that's what we get for trying to eat Chinese food in Mexico.
