Food- burgers were nice and tasty I love the concept of them being Filipino style with my favorite type of bread, pandesal. The fries were okay. Just a heads up that their panda style fries do not come with egg. It comes with fries, cheese, sauce, grilled onions, and your choice of meat. It kind of threw me off because all their pictures of this dish has an egg on top so you would think it comes with it and not just as an extra. Service- this is where I knock down 2 stars. My partner and I got there and we were greeted which was nice, and the lady in the front even said to ask her if we have any questions. We took a few minutes to look at the menu until we were ready to order, but when we were ready she said she'll be right with us which was totally fine. I did not mind waiting a few minutes but I did mind waiting 20! We were waiting there for 15 minutes and within that time she did not look back at us once. After that I finally gave up and tried to order online. As I was ordering I had a question about the menu that I wanted to ask about, but it still took her a while to notice us. I understand being busy with orders, but it really takes just a minute to take our order, or even a second to answer our question! Forgot to mention that we were the only ones in line as well. Only one couple was behind us for a few minutes before they gave up and ordered at a different place. Ambiance- the location is nice at-least! Tried Panda Sal's this weekend, and honestly we went twice (Saturday and Sunday). This was in hopes of getting to try the longanisa egg and cheese but they ran out Saturday by 12:30 and did not restock for Sunday. A little disappointing, but I believe this is still part of their soft opening as they told us about their "grand opening" happening on March 2. We tried the cheeseburger, corned beef egg and cheese, curly fries, and panda fries with corned beef. All solid choices! I would say my favorite was the corned beef sandwich and the curly fries are perfectly crispy, but the smash burger is also really good (they're called the Filipino in-n-out in their video that went viral). Along with that viral video came with many people trying the place so expect a line on the weekends and to wait at least 30 minutes for your food. I'm hopeful that they'll make sure to buy more longanisa in the future! read more

These are the most unique smash burgers I've ever had. I love the Filipino twist on their burgers. The Pan de Sal bread goes so well with them, and are pretty much the difference maker here. There's a corn meal crust on the buns that sort of mimics a sesame bun. The beef has an amazing flavor, and of you're feeling adventurous, get a Longanisa, or a spam burger and add an egg! Yoooooooooooooooo! Located at the heart of steel craft probably the busiest stall inside the establishment. Tried this spot last week and for your sake make sure to order the double! I made a mistake in ordering the single and the reason why you definitely need to order the double is because the pandesal bun is thick and the single smashed burger patty is too thin and you wont taste the meat as much. I also wish they would have have had a protein style version for the weight watchers option like myself, the flavor of the burger here really brought back this taste i remember I had when I was in the Philippines and did give me nostalgia, I dont know what it is but maybe its the thin pickle inside or sauce or the taste of the bread, I cant figure it out lol. Also tried the curly fries, It probably would have been better without the panda style cause when I got home it was all soggy already. Also tried the ube bun sliders, don't really taste the ube in the buns and same thing as the burger I think I would order it in a double patty so more meat. But the service was great cooked fast and ambiance was like any other food hall but it has an outdoor vibe so no air condition but they do have a large tv and the games are typically on to watch. The flavors were good but the corned beef was a little overwhelmed by the cheese and sauce. Would have like the flavors to focus on the protein but like I said, it's about preference. I had a great time hanging out at Steel Craft food court in Bellflower. We checked out Panda Sal's for their Smash Burgers. Nice shop, great crew and food was cooked fresh. Their Pandesal Buns were indeed "Very Good". I liked the buns better than the Pandesal I've had from several different Filipino bakeries, so that's saying something. They're soft, fluffy, but still has that Pandesal taste and texture, but looking like a burger bun. I can't remember the name of what my wife ordered. It was like a Patty Melt. That was amazing, 2 smashed burgers with 2 or 3 cheeses on a nicely toasted bread. Unfortunately, I ordered the Longanisa Burger with the egg. Bun was amazing! However, wasn't a fan of their Longanisa. I didn't mind that it was 'smashed'. Texture was great. It was too garlicy, that was the first thing and the last thing and the middle thing I tasted. It did not have that Longanisa balance of garlic, savory, sweet, umami. It was garlic and salt. The garlic really overpowered the sausage. Needed maybe some soy, a little tang (vinegar) a little sweetness, have the garlic not up front, in the middle and at the end. Find the balance. That's my take. I remember helping my parents make Longanisa as a child 60 years ago and have eaten Longanisa from different regions of the Philippines, so I'm going by my over 60 years of eating the thing. That said, I'll definitely will be going back and taking friends there. Cool vide, and I'm sure their other sandwiches would be great. read more
