Poor service. Waited almost 20 minutes on an order that was labeled "preparing" on the board before someone from the kitchen said "I don't know why it let you order this we don't have it". No solutions were offered. Had to ask for them to refund that part of the order. The rest took another 5-7 minutes to get ready. It was cold mac and cheese. Awful service every time. Super long waits for everything. Icing on the cake was paying $46 for 3 salads and two soups, waiting 10 minutes and then being told there was no blue cheese for the Fuji Apple chicken salad... which, by the way is not even the cheese that goes on the salad. So my choices were Parmesan or torn up white cheddar slices. One salad was supposed to have no nuts I know onions, the other no tomatoes and the third no onions. They were all wrong and I could eat none of them because there was nuts everywhere. So I called and wait forever to get a manager on the phone. I am told that she is super sorry and I need to just bring my receipt in and get a refund. So I go in the next day asking for a refund because my name was on a listAnd then I am looked at like I have two heads. Apparently the general manager does not have the authority to issue a refund for anything more than $15 even though they put nuts on all of the salads and even though a manager said specifically to come in for a refund. We moved here n 2010 and have been going to this Panera ever since, as it is the closest to our house in Davie county. The first 5-6 years we were going 2-3x/month and very pleased with everything. (They even donate their baked goods to our church for folks to enjoy on Sunday morning.) About a year before they moved into their new location, things started going downhill. I believe there was a change in management around that time. We have attended church at the YMCA right behind the new location for about 3 years...and it is naturally appealing and easy to swing by Panera afterward for some bagels, or to pick up lunch. Numerous times we have been disappointed by things, whether we went inside to place the order, used the drive-thru, or ordered on the app for curbside service. Examples...brown spots on avocado in salad (several times); being out of plain or blueberry bagels on a Sunday morning (several times - and once our order was taken at the drive through, and after waiting a long time, we were told at the window about them being out); forgetting you put croutons in for French onion soup (2 times); being out of certain salad ingredients (there is a Publix in the same shopping center - not hard to go buy them); extremely long waits in drive-thru line; dishes piled up at the dish and utensil drop location. Because we love the usually delicious, clean food at Panera, and because this has been an ongoing issue (2+ yrs.),I took the time last October, to email corporate about our experiences there, hoping it would genuinely make a difference. I got a polite email response from someone thanking me, apologizing for the disappointing experiences and telling me how important "Speed of service, order accuracy, quality food, customer service in a clean friendly environment is very important to us." She told me she had shared my feedback with the general manager. Sadly, we have seen no improvement since then. It's a shame bc we patronize Panera when we are traveling, as well as the Hanes Blvd. location, and we know this is not typical of this chain at all. read more

This particular location is an absolute JOKE. Keep in mind, I have never had a problem with this place until this past year. I've ate here for MANY many many years. I've always loved it. Over this past summer, I called in a to go order after I worked out at the gym. A young man answered said the typical how can I help you. I said "can I place a to go order." The young man & I wish I was kidding when I say this, "I guess you can". I was absolutely blown away. Then a young woman takes the phone from him & she starts giggling saying "I'm sorry about that, how may I help you ma'am?" & I hear laughing in the background. Really? REALLY? Is that seriously how you run a restaurant? I told the girl my order & I went to pick it up, however the woman did mention something about the guy on the phone. I just ignored it, paid, & left. Very very rude & I honest to God could not believe they even said that to a paying customer. It's just a bunch of teens running a restaurant that joke & mess around when people are spending hard earned cash to pay for it? I've also noticed the cashiers are getting more & more rude as time goes on. I still love the broccoli & cheddar soup in a bread bowl. It's a Panera. I have had a wedge against the chain as soon as they took away the chipotle chicken sandwich. The quality of the food is good and healthy for a chain but the prices have always felt a bit high for me. Especially in the past 7 years. I have never had any issues from this particular location- my order has always been right and has always come out in a timely manner- but then again I do not frequent it very often. Let me start by saying I LOVE Panera! My experiences at this location have been really positive in person and when ordering over the phone. My one issue is with the Rapid Pick Up -- I ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew with the Lentil Quinoa Chicken Bowl and a co-worker picked it up for me. Everything was correct on the receipt, but they didn't put any chicken in the bowl. The really depressing part was the coffee; they didn't add any half and half. Now it was my first time ordering that drink, but I definitely saw on the menu that it should have cream in it. However, it was ~completely black~ If you are a lover of coffee but can't stand it without the add-ons, you know how deeply saddening this is. That, combined with the lack of protein in the bowl.... y'all just broke my heart. I didn't have time to go back and have it fixed up, so I just had to suffer. Overall, the food is good. I am very sad to say I ordered a bagel but there was something purple and sticky on the plate which led me to believe it wasn't properly washed If washed at all. Just wanted to take time to leave a review, which I rarely do. the shift leader here tonight, Abby is wonderful. I witnessed an Interaction with her and another customer while I was in here tonight. He seemed to be quite confused as he came up to the register several times asking why he was having to pay listed prices. She worked diligently to calm him and offer explanations of fair company policies, no matter how she was spoken to. Superb deescalation skills! The staff tonight seems to be entirely teenagers, the hardest working group of kids I've seen. Abby herself couldn't be a day over 20, but I watched as she worked diligently leading her team as if she had a decades experience. This company has hit the jackpot with this crew, and to have such a young responsible and motivated leader like her. Also, the food is good. read more

I was in drive-thru for some time. But I get it because I came in a busy hour. They informed me that they were not able to make my drink. I was fine with it and just requested a refund and the ladies at drive were really nice and said that in order for the refund they needed a manager and that they would be right back. The manager took a long time. Then when she got their she had the biggest attitude. She then told me to choose someone else. I wanted my refund and she refused. It was quick and simple. They have kiosk you can use or friendly cashiers. The cashier was super friendly and helped me pick out the food that I wanted. The food came out quick and was hot and ready. There $8.99 coffee club subscription is also a very good deal and saves lots of money. 10/10 would recommend coming back. This review could be titled "The Curse of Jimmy Hendrix." When this location of Panera opened in Clemmons, NC, the food quality was high and the customer service was top notch. As I continued to go there, we noticed one of the employees that was already ready to help the customer and his name was Jimmy Hendrix - swear to God. While Jimmy was there, service was always perfect. If you have read any of my other reviews, you will understand I don't often say that. Jimmy spoiled me, he remembered my name and always gave valuable opinions of new menu items. Then one day Jimmy was gone - Hell, most of the staff was replaced by Waffle House rejects. And with the exit of Jimmy Hendrix, so did their customer service and food quality. These past few months, I have had nothing but shitty service and worse food from this location. If you are familiar with Panera's you will probably know they warn you ahead of time that the Crispani, a nice thin crust pizza, requires a 15 minute wait. After Jimmy Hendrix left, getting a Crispani become a nightmare riddled with frustration and a total disrespect for the customer. The first Post-Hendrix Crispani I ordered took an hour to prepare. After 40 minutes I got sick and tired of waiting for the thing so I started waiting near the counter to see how much longer it would be. Then I saw the guy (tall skinny white kid) who was making the Crispanis, in the back of the store with his pants below his ass, gangsta style while he was scratching his ass. Thankfully, he was gloved so he was saved the exposure to who knows what bacteria might have been growing back there. But my Crispani, I doubt it was blocked from such infestation. My second Post-Hendrix visit was still an abortion of epic proportions. The cashier had problems with every single customer that was standing in front of me and she took forever to get any order out. I finally got my call-in bagel pack and left. When I get to the clients I learn that instead of whole wheat, they packed a full box of mochachip and instead of toasted, they were burnt in a way only the entirety of the Manhattan Project could have achieved. The third Post-Hendrix visit was another try at a Crispani and it took an hour for a 15 minute prep. No apology, no coupon - I was barely lucky to get the pizza. Also, this visit, they put the Crispanis in thin flimsy boxes that left my car seat greasy plus the pizza wasn't cut, it was just thrown in. Fuck the customer, that must be their new motto. The fourth Post-Hendrix visit, tonight, was another trial of customer service. Up until this visit, Panera (in fact ALL Paneras) have a sign hanging where folks can queue that have called their food in. Most restaurants have this. Some will either direct you to the bar area or others have a similar sign for call-in orders. The reason they do this is so the food for the call-ins ordered will still be warm when the customer picks it up. So here I am tonight, under the same damn sign that I have used for months and I am totally ignored. There is a huge line with three other cashiers and no one seems to be able to get their order correct. When I finally get the attention of an employee that has walked by - most just walked by as if I didn't exist, maybe the entire staff is just deaf, when I ask about my order they tell me to get in line. I point out the sign and the new junior slacker says, "I never knew that was there" and he walks the fuck off. Then I just go to the end of the line and wait and wait and wait and finally get to the front of the line and I see a guy, Chris, with a "manager" tag on his shirt (they have a new one ever time I go it seems). I call his attention to the sign and he too didn't know it was there. I tell him the purpose of those sign and he tells me he can't staff it. I tell him the small deli joint down the street manages to provide that level of customer service and I am sure he can also. He ignores me and hands me a coupon for another bagel pack. I wonder if these too will be burnt? I might add these visits were not at peak hours or when the high school football team just crashed in, nope. They were barely busy. read more

Wow! The staff is so rude, service was horrible, food was not good and the place is not clean. I would give no star actually. My husband and I went up to order and the girl at the register whispered something to a young man- obviously about us, then they both began giggling. Now regardless if it was about us or not, I would think that they would have more common decency and class not to behave in that manner. Immature and not customer friendly, they need retraining or to hire people who act appropriately. I am not surprised that there were a small amount of people in the restaurant, the drink bar was filthy-the drinks look like they had been there for days, the tables and booths were disgusting. Stopped here during June 2018 on a Sunday lunch at noon. Food was great Panera quality. However, order pick up was extremely slow. There were 3 order preparers, and at one point there were 20 people anxiously waiting for their orders at the pickup-counter. It took us 20 minutes to fully receive our order, which seemed longer than normal. I wouldn't recommend this location based on slow speed of service. read more

Went to this location this morning for coffee and a scone. The experience was terrible. They were out of the dark roast and light coffee at 8:30 am. Clerk said they were brewing the dark roast. I waited ten minutes and no coffee. I finally went to the kitchen window and asked when the coffee would be available. Three minutes later they brought out the light roast. I had my Mother visiting for lunch, she is 96 so I wanted to treat her to her favorite, the broccoli soup at Panera.i have to say, how many bad reviews does a restaurant need before they make some changes. It appears many people have been dissatisfied with this location but it stays the same. Service isn't great, baguette is so stale you could pound a nail with it, that is if they don't forget to give it to you, the salad was wilted, the dressing was barely a teaspoon, the chicken salad sandwich and ONE tablespoon of meat in it and the prices......good gracious!!!!! I'm generally not a complainer when it comes to ordering food out so when restaurants get orders wrong, I make do with what I'm given. But this is one of the worst Panera locations I've frequented. My husband and I really enjoy the food choices and the quality of ingredients Panera offers. But this Panera location gets our order incorrect more often than not. Almost every time I've ordered the French onion soup on their app, I have put in a comment that I would like extra croutons. I almost never get ANY croutons, not even the standard croutons that come with the order per the menu. Tonight, I picked up an order where all side items (French baguette and apple) were missing and, you guessed it, no croutons. I can understand the occasional mistake especially when the restaurant industry is so short staffed. But this quality of business is unacceptable. We won't be returning. Ever. read more

Everytime I go here the order is somehow messed up- NO MATTER what it is! Typically I get coffee every morning. Now the kicker is that I have a dairy allergy so I am limited as to which restaurants I can go to. I choose Panera because they have Almond Milk (or so they say). Only ONE time did they actually make my coffee with almond milk. I can tell they use whole milk because my stomach hurts INSTANTLY. Also, I have ordered the "bowls" several times and been disappointed. The avocado was hard as a rock I could not even bite all the way into it!! I have been here numerous times over the years and the food preparation continues to get worse. I ordered a sandwich and soup yesterday to take to the nearby hospital to visit my mother and when I opened the sandwich, the bread was so smashed and looked as if someone had used a rolling pin on it. I don't think it could have been any thinner if I had driven over it with my car. How in the world does that happen? At this Panera, the food is simply not worth the money. Fortunately, the bagels are still good. Perhaps the a move to its new location will help. I will give it one more try then. read more

I don't really review things, but this Panera has been consistently poor in almost every category you could rate them on essentially every time we come through here. It is slow, the food is frequently underdone or burnt, they frequently are out of food or don't have it made (no souffles for an hour after they open?
