I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Panera. I very much enjoyed this restaurant chain growing up, especially for their soups and salads. The sandwiches on the other hand are a bit of a mixed bag because I find that they're not the most satisfying, especially their grilled cheese. However I came on this particular morning and ordered an egg white with avocado sandwich which is usually on a multigrain bagel. I asked the employee to please substitute the bagel with sourdough bread which she kindly accommodated. I have to tell you I'm very underwhelmed by the portion size considering that I spent $6.99 (I added $1 for the tip). This has become a common thing with Panera where they overcharge and give very little food. I would have consumed the entire thing in three bites but the ingredients kept falling apart. Maybe I should have got it with the bagel but I really doubt the portions would have been any better. At the very least I can say that it tasted delicious and the inside of the place is very nice as they usually are, but this is all too common in my previous experiences.

Good spot for some tea, iced coffee and an online meeting. There are high top, low top, booth tables for eating and chilling here. Service was swift here. Tea isn't bad. Would prefer no background music. It's at least not as loud as it is in the bathrooms. The bathrooms are clean. They offer curbside delivery and have many kiosks at the front to put in your order for contactless.

I made a delivery order on 8/31/2021. After receiving our order, I noticed that I was missing an item. At the time, I was furious because for some odd reason, there is always 1 item missing anytime I make a big order. And it is always something I order for one of my employee's that is always missing. Although my employee said that it was fine, to me, it wasn't. I called and spoke to someone and they asked if I wanted a credit for my next order or if I would like the missing item delivered which was just a small Mac n cheese. Not only did they deliver the Mac n Cheese, they delivered a larger portion along with cookies, scones, a bag of chips & bread. To top it off, the manager hand delivered them to us. I know mistakes happen but for this place to go above and beyond for their customers makes this place great! Thank you so very much for all the extras!

They don't show prices on their menu and the receipt doesn't show itemized prices either. $40 later. Everything is so expensive.

Ordered a pizza and a black forest ham sandwich. The pizzas the worst flatbread pizza I've ever had in my life do not go to this restaurant.

The restaurant itself is pretty basic -- mostly a bar atmosphere with a smaller dining area. Since we had our kids with us, we chose to sit in the dining section instead of the bar area. Our waitress was fast and friendly and went out of her way to get kids menus printed up so the kids could color. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Sandwich, and I got the Corned Beef Dinty Sandwich. We also split an order of curly fries. For the kids, we ordered the cheeseburger meals and a chicken tender meal. Everything came out quickly, and the food was really good. The sandwiches were huge! Overall, it was a great first visit, and we would definitely return.

Every time I return to the Clinton Township area, I go here! Consistent, friendly, and mouth wateringly delicious! Now, let me preface, I cannot speak for the vast majority of their menu, but...if you ain't gettin their legendary corned beef...then you ain't doing it right!! It was a day like any other I had gone there. Friendly staff and a much loved sports bar environment smacking of the old mom and pop vibes you can come to expect from many local establishments. The Corned beef is STACKED! You definitely get what you paid for. Slather some horseradish on that puppy and you just got yourself a one way ticket to the gates of the divine. I will also wholeheartedly endorse their onion rings. Crispy and crunchy on the outside that hides glorious onion slices within! I have yet to find another establishment that comes close to their onion rings. If you are craving a corned beef sandwich, well, you might want to head on down to Jimmy Dee's and meet the masters!

The…read moreinterior has been remodeled and looks great, love the dark layout and the huge dining room, however the food remains touch and go. Certain dishes are great, others not. Got a huge bread basket that looked empty, when peering in, two small pieces of stale french bread smothered in Saran wrap were visible. Shame all that wasted space. C'mon Gumbo. Don't skimp on the bread. Serve it fresh too! During past dining experiences, the fried shrimp and hushpuppies were much larger. During this visit they were midget sized, like they were "cooking to a price point". That said, Gumbo's always excelled at frying and they tasted great. The fried catfish was dredged in cornmeal and flour. It tasted as good as catfish can taste, considering slimy-stank taste is natural to a bottom feeder and next to impossible to cook out. If you like catfish, gather up a chair, you're in the right place. The gumbo was watery with small dices of sausage and more midget shrimp. The broth had little taste. Mediocre gumbo is a misdemeanor violation. I wrote Gumbo's a ticket on that one. The cajun pasta was very good. In the old days they used bowtie pasta in a thick creamy sauce smacked with Cajun decadence and big ole' shrimps. Today they used penne (not a big deal, but it cheapens the dish) in a disappointly watery sauce with a few midget shrimp. It still tasted good but it quite clear at this point Gumbo's was cooking to a price point. The STAR OF THE SHOW was the shrimp crawfish etouffee. Wow! Thick, creamy, rich gravy with a heavenly base of toasted roux having notes of roasted peanut. They got that one right, midget shrimps and all. I want another bowl NOW! DIATRIBE ALERT: Service wasn't terrible but far from exceptional. The new generation of wait staff expects big tips for mediocre service, like we should should be honored by their presence. I always tip large despite my general grumpiness. Problem is, tipping culture has gotten out of hand. It's become a bottomless pit of greed. Front and back staff with their hands out perpetually. Cash registers programmed to induce tip guilt. Dirty looks for not tipping a carry-out order. CARRY-OUT RULES: If I don't sit down to eat, I ain't tipping your ass. Go back to Nursing School or something like that. Why should the customer pick up the slack for an industry refusing to pay employees a decent wage? SUMMARY: Love the vibe. Like the food. Gumbo's was clearly cooking to a price point. Midget shrimp? Sacriledge. New Orleans ain't like that.

They both tasted like they were made in house and not from frozen. I would order these again any day. I also tried the shrimp po boy. The flavors were good, but the sandwich only had 6 shrimp. There are only two tables to eat at in the front with some decorations, making the inside of the restaurant feel as if you are eating in someone's dining room. The attendant at the front made sure my needs were met despite flying back and forth to deal with constant takeout orders. For my dinner, I ordered the pork pad thai and the thai milk tea, 16 ounces. The meal started with a complimentary chicken and rice soup, served in a small bowl. The broth of the soup was made up of a fatty and rich chicken stock, with a slight aroma of fish sauce and some cracked peppers. As soon as I tasted it, I could tell that the food was going to be quality. The thai milk tea was on the better end. It's not the best thai milk tea I have ever had, but its strong, concentrated flavor got the job done. The pad thai, while not as reddish colored as I have seen other places make it, very much tasted like authentic pad thai. I ordered the dish with the medium spice level, and I was happy to receive the proper Thai medium spiciness, not some watered down version that pulls back on the punches. The pork in the dish was tender, not overcooked or dry. I also appreciated that there wasn't a large amount of bean sprouts dumped onto the meal to make it seem as if the quantity of the food was larger. There was enough food served that I had another whole meal packed in a container at the end. Overall, I'm glad that there is a good Thai option nearby for people to enjoy. I'd love to come back to order some of their other dishes.
