Butternut squash soup and Mediterranean veggie sandwich

I used to come here almost everyday during my lunch break! With an hour off, I always had enough time to drive over, order, and eat without feeling rushed (and still had time to stop by Whole Foods a few stores down). The food at this location was always fresh, and the service was always polite and fast. I liked to sit down to eat because the eating area was always clean and quiet.

This was my 2nd visit in the past year, and conditions were worse this time. Nice, helpful employees is the only reason it doesn't get 1 star. 4:00pm, so between lunch and dinner rush. Everything was super dirty. Ugh. From outside the store, to the vestibule, to the bakery/register area to every. stinking. table. and my flatware. Ummm . . . I think I'm done here.

Panera is a staple, always the same, nothing too crazy. This was no exception, the staff was polite and moved quickly. The food tastes the same, which is perfect for a quick bread-filled lunch on the go.

Horrible service! Overpriced and Dirty! Panera is really going downhill! The floor and tables were filthy, the person working the counter couldn't be less interested in being there or to take our order. Order was for 2 Mac-N-Cheeses, 2 fountain drinks and one cookie. Then we were told they ran out of bread!? It's literally Panera Bread!! How is that possible? We were asked if we wanted a fruit cup or apple chips instead. We picked 2 bags of apple chips and sat down to wait for our name to be called as it was an eat-in order. All the tables were dirty and there was food and debris all over the rug. 15 minutes later we approached to ask about the order only to find out it was sitting there in a to-go bag getting cold. The sides in the bag...one apple and a bag or regular chips? We asked the cooks if there was bread and they respond they "had some" and that they "stop serving it after a certain time". We also asked about the to-go bag for an eat-in-order and they told us they didn't want to dirty any bowls or silverware "at this time of night". Note - we ordered at 7:45 and they close at 9pm! $32 and the nerve to ask for tip on screen! Will never go here again. Panera you need to start training your people better.

As I am aware this place is a franchise so I can't really criticize too much about the food. I got the get two deal which was a salad and avocado chicken melt sandwich. Both of them were small sizes because of the deal. As well I got bread to go with the deal. I opted out of ordering drinks. I ordered from the screen, and got my food after some time. I also got to take some of the salad home using a to-go salad container. The place was clean and spacious. It was a nice place to dine. The sandwich was delicious - I honestly love avocado and chicken so it was a great combo. The salad was a bit bland but it had some chicken bits to keep it flavorful. It also had some fruit in the salad, which I knew about when I ordered it, but I realized it didn't mesh well with the rest of the salad. I think if I had chosen another type of salad, it would have been better. Fyi, even though the cups are easily accessible for everyone to use along with free refills, unless it is just water, you aren't suppose to use the cups if you didn't pay for drinks.

    String

Ordered soup on Door dash for me and my 8 month old baby. My soup came with a piece of string in it. I'm so disgusted and I can only imagine where it came from or had my baby swallowed it. Like come on people, you need to be more careful when handling the food others have to ingest.

Nothing to say about it but it's good for the chain. I like to go when I'm craving a different salad.

The space isn't huge but it's very cute ambience with a chandelier of plants cascading the ceiling with simple decor. We both ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken is perfectly fried. Crunchy but not too much or less batter that holds a juicy thigh. The seasoning felt simple but the flavors were anything but. The waffle was big and dense with the outer layer having a subtle crisp that reveals a soft interior. Again, very subtle seasonings, they are not overloading the food with masses of flavoring, these people know how to work around their ingredients and let them shine. The chicken and waffles get a phenomenal 9/10 We also purchased an order of Fish and Grits to share with the lobster sauce on the side as I have a slight shellfish allergy and the waitress insisted on putting it in the side even though I told her it was ok (I appreciate the consideration). I rarely order this type of meal but man do I not regret it at all. I'm not even sure what kind of fish I consumed but it was so perfectly fried with the gentlest breading that complemented the perfectly cooked fish. Again the seasonings are subtle, it's not really the boldest of flavors, it just tasted good. The grits were savory while not being overwhelming when combining the fish which ended up being very satisfying bite. The Fish And Grits gets an amazing 9.5/10 I will be coming back, I'd like to try more of what they offer. These people are masters of frying things to perfection while retaining the core flavors of the protein. The staff was friendly and you can feel the soul they breathe into the place. I highly recommend giving them a chance.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. They have a lovely spot and they're definitely going for some sort of modern/fresh urban style that's not being lived up to. I love Asian fusion and my wife said she's tried one of their locations before and that we should try it, but it was a lot of oil and not a lot of flavor other than that. The chicken was kind of rubbery which I saw another review about and I'm surprised people love this spot as much as they do. This is not a bad spot if you want something new to try, it was a fun idea and interesting to try a new take. They don't have any real pictures of their food advertised and they're trying really hard to make it look like a fresh healthy menu, I don't think their meals reflect that. You could tell that the chicken was put in the box first, then the noodles mixed with a couple base veggies, then the cauliflower and blue cheese sauce on top. It didn't feel like a mixed vegetables stir fry the way I imagined. Again I think this could be really fun for people to try as a new spot, but I'm not sure we'll try them again. Their desserts do look great and may be worth us giving them another chance if we ever want to go out for a treat!

However, many of you might not know that Mister Ricks also makes great cheesesteaks. They have one of the best cheesesteaks I've eaten in Philly. The sliced ribeye is tender, juicy, and flavorful and stuffed into a giant seeded roll. A bargain for $14.99. Get it with fried onions and your choice of American, Provolone, or Cooper Sharp Cheese (hint: get Cooper Sharp!). It was so good I didn't even need to add any flavorings like ketchup or mayo to it (some cheesesteaks in South Philly are so dry they need ketchup and mayo to make them palatable). Mister Ricks cheesesteak is also physically larger than a lot of cheesesteaks I've eaten, so not only do you get a great cheesesteak, but it's also a great BIG cheesesteak that can be shared, especially if you get a couple of bags of chips. Oh, yes, they also have a vast array of chips and Coca Cola soda products to choose from. My son pointed out that this cheesesteak rivals and even beats any of the fancy, famous cheesesteak shops I've taken him to all around Philly. Totally true. I can name some of them, but then those shops might not like me anymore! Service is always quick and efficient. They serve a lot of folks on days with sporting events so if you're in a hurry, call ahead to place your order. There's no dining tables inside, but there's plenty of seats at the park right across the street.

The bartenders were incredibly personable and spent time chatting with us, which really added to the experience. The brewery itself is quite large, with plenty of seating, including an upstairs area. They don't offer flights, but the bartender was happy to provide samples of the beers I was interested in. Unfortunately, none were really my style--I'm a dedicated IPA girl, and they only had one IPA on tap at the time. My husband, however, really enjoyed a couple of the Hallertau Pils tank pours. If you've never had a tank pour before, it's a unique experience and definitely different from a traditional draft beer. They also have an extensive Mexican food menu. We shared the Pollo con Costra y Chile Güero, and it was delicious--very authentic and full of flavor. Would you rather pick a place that also has creative (and stong!) cocktails? How about a place with a huge space that allows you to be in the crowd or get away with your group? Good, because Human Robot Jenkintown has all of that. You won't see high varieties of pastry stouts or high abv IPAs here. They specialize in European ales and lagers, but mix and match with hazy IPAs, a sour, and styles, all ranging from solid to top tier. The only real con is lack of parking (people use the Jenkintown parking access the street). Note that there is food onsite, but that's a different company and won't be rated here.
