We enjoy Panera but this is our second time doing curbside pick up and the second time they've made a mistake with it order. The first time we drove back and they fixed our order. Very sad. The future doesn't look good for this restaurant based upon my experience today. I had a craving for a spicy chicken sandwich but discovered Chik-fil-a was closed for renovation. Saw these guys offered a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was meh and boring but cost $12.31 compared to the $4 charged next door! At least THREE TIMES as much for a lesser product. Nice and clean location, although it's common for at least one of the ordering tablets to be buffering and not working. The service is good, and you don't have to wait long for food. I'm generally not one for Panera all the time because I don't think it's worth the money, but if you go to Panera a lot, this is a good location. read more

I always order the you pick two from Panera bread. Broccoli cheddar soup, frontega chicken panini, with baguette on the side, is my go to order. This order was accurate for what I order except for what my sandwich came out to be and look. My sandwich had a clump of chicken in a corner and no condiment, which I also added "extra", and didn't get anything. I also didn't get a spoon which is kind of a big deal to it being a to go order. Yet again another horrible experience at Panera bread... MIss Brittani was taking my order and seemed very frustrated at me and impatient.. she also made me feel like I was an idiot for not ordering a drink. I was taking the order "to go" and had a drink at work so I didn't need to spend 3 bucks buying their plastic cup...... She then asked me if I had a panera card to which I said "no" and she just started swiping cards and then shoved one in my hand to which I said "I don't need this" and she grabbed it back. This is not an exaggeration.... Miss Brittani needs to pump the brakes on that attitude of hers and realize the job she is in and if she hates people she shouldn't have a job that requires her to interact with them. If I have to eat at this place again, I swear I will shoot myself. Precious likes this place. Precious loves this place, and for the past couple of years she has eaten at this place every weekend sometimes both Saturday and Sunday. I like a variety of breakfast foods: cheerios and corn flakes and sourdough breakfast sandwiches and pancakes and waffles... At Panera they have some breakfast sandwiches and some pastries and the never fail bagel with cream cheese. They have a variety of bagel flavors and veggie spread. But every weekend? Come on. Some times I lay awake at night just dreaming of an egg mcmufin meanwhile knowing full well that it will be Panera's in the morning. Precious refuses to go anywhere else. Well, I guess if it makes Precious happy, that's all that matters. I can't leave this review without mentioning the employees. This place has the best staff anywhere. This guy (the owner or manager or big cheese - whatever they call him) has managed to find the best workers. From the register to the cooks to the people in the back these people work very hard, are very responsible self starters. This guy should write a book on hiring. Warning: Don't drink the soda. Every time we went to this place, I got a little sick. It wasn't that bad, but it was enough that I had to make a stop at home base before I could go anywhere else (I don't like using public restrooms for these purposes because it doesn't give me the privacy that I need) which is inconvenient because we'd go to this place first on a Saturday or Sunday, and then we'd go to the farmers' market or shopping. For a long time I couldn't identify just exactly what was causing my intestinal discomfort. I tried a bagel. Then the egg souffle. Then the breakfast sandwich. Then I suspected that it might be the soda so I smuggled in a can of Guarana or Coke, and I haven't gotten sick since so I just bring a can of soda, and I'm ok. read more

I love this place! The atmosphere is so wonderful! I can go sit with my laptop and have a delicious cup of green tea! The sierra turkey sandwich is one of my favorites and the italian cold cut is another one minus the grey poupon mustard. I prefer original mustard. They keep the fireplace going in the winter time which makes for a great meeting spot. The greek salad is absolutely delicious !!!!!! And the Wild rice and chicken soup is my favorite... only served on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays! My last two trips to Panera have been sorely disappointing. Last month I ordered the pick two, acorn squash soup and turkey flat bread. The soup was amazing as always, its actual perfection - which is why I wasn't terribly annoyed when my flat bread was a sopping mess that consisted of two pieces of spinach, two slices of turkey, and a watery puddle of cranberry "sauce" that all collapsed on itself as soon as I picked it up. Last night, I ordered the acorn squash soup and a Thai salad. (Odd combo I know, but I have my favorites.) The soup was still perfection. The salad tasted great and I was pretty happy with my meal, until I came across the long black hair at the bottom of the box. Ugh. I placed a "to go" order, so basically at that point there was nothing that could be done about it. I am a Panera fan, but the almost $18.00 soup, salad, drink better be pretty amazing for me to actually pay $18.00 for it. I am seeing the quality of food drop pretty significantly in this location, thankfully the service from the employees is still very friendly. Absolutely horrible service! The cashier charged me for a cookie, didn't give it to me, and then when I went to pick it up, she accused me of stealing it. She came to our table and asked for me to pay for it. I showed her the receipt and asked her if she gave me a cookie like she was supposed to. I stopped by this Panera late one night with one of my family members. Compared to other Panera's in the area, this one seems to pass on quality and cleanliness on a regular basis. The staff was friendly enough when I came. The food came out at a quick pace. It was timed perfectly after getting a seat and getting a drink, with a little time to chat. The food was pretty good when we had it, but if there were more effort made into the meals, I would call it perfection and up my rating a star. We spent about two hours here chatting and relaxing. About an hour before closing, they started to clean. It made both of us uneasy, but still stayed. A better option for them would be to hold out until 30 minutes before closing. I would recommend this place to others. The food is consistently and fairly good and they keep the place very clean! read more

So I thought I wrote a review for this Panera a while back. As it turns out, I wrote it for the wrong location! I live in Manassas, I should know the difference between Sudley and Liberia, right? This location has become the go to option for take out dinner when I am running late and/or we don't have time/want to cook. The salads are great healthy options, and with a little planning on their website, you can determine what things to leave out and shave off even more calories. It's a Panera ... you've probably been to Panera before and know what to expect from the menu. Generally no issues at this location. Clean, friendly, and fast service. I typically order a Chicken Caesar with no croutons .. once they forgot the "no croutons" and started to add them. They realized their error and instead of just taking them off, they asked me if I was allergic to croutons and if I wanted another salad made fresh. That's good service. The lone issue I have experienced is that they do tend to forget to ask you what side you want and just assume you want bread, so make sure to tell them you want something else (like an apple) if you don't want the baguette.. read more

For the most part all of the food is fresh and good quality. The wait sometimes is longer than most places, but is usually ok. The part that makes this a solid 3 stars is the service. Usually they forget utensils or are rude in general. This also means the order does get screwed up often if you are ordering for more than 3 people. I would give this location 2.5 stars if I could. The food is consistent as expected though the staff regularly gets the order wrong. When this occurs they are willing to remake the order without any issue or pushback. My real concern is the dirt in the restaurant. The tops of the cabinets in the pick up area are 2 inches thick with dust. A slight bit of air and that dirt ends up in the food which is sitting on the counter directly below. If this is how they clean the public areas what do the kitchens look like?? Panera please take some time to really clean this restaurant before someone gets sick. read more

This is the closest location to my house and loads better than the Panera on Sudley Road. The staff is always attentive and friendly when I visit. I was a little shocked to read some of the negative things in other reviews. Sure, the place gets busy and some people have to work under pressure and may not be able to do as much hand-holding as they do when there aren't as many customers to take care of. However, the Manager and staff have always been professional and are sure to make sure my needs are met and I get what I ordered the way I ordered it. I have always been quite pleased with this Panera. Sometimes the wait is longer than I like, but the food is always consistent and good!

I really like this Panera bread location. They never messed up my order and when I ask for extra tomatoes, they actually give me extra tomatoes. All the associates that I've talked to are pretty nice. The food is really good, but my only complaint is that Panera bread in general is expensive. Almost 8 dollars for a sandwich I can make at home? If I am too lazy to cook but want somewhat healthy food, I go to Panera bread. But at this location, my order comes out pretty quickly and I leave happy. read more

So a few things wrong with this place. First you pay at ordering and it prompts you for a tip. Tip up front?. I always decide how much to tip based on quality and service. How can you know what is fair before they actually serve you?. Their chicken soup is canned soup no different than a 99c Campbell soup but you'll pay $5 for a small one. I ordered a Ham and Swiss on french baguette. The bread was soooooo chewy it took me 20 minutes to eat half a sandwich (did not eat the other half). For $6 I got chewy bread with mayo, one lettuce leaf one slice of ham and one slice of cheese split in two pieces. I give this location 5 stars because I went to this location because it one has my favorite drink with is the green tea and second because of wifi. I needed somewhere that was pretty quite and able to eat and use my computer. I got there just a bit early for the soups to be ready. The manager who had taken my first order told me they wouldn't be ready until about 10am. He so kindly come over to my table where I was sitting to let me know that the soup was ready if I wanted to get it. Some things have really changed. It was new, it was a neighborhood hangout, and it was business card friendly. I was there Sunday before church and they have worn out tattered upholstery chairs, computerized food orders, and no business cards allowed on their community board. Now I am finding a new place to go for my Chai Latte. They are not part of my community now they are feeding off my community and it is obvious. I picked up other customers plates and trays after they walked out just trying to make this once great place stay inviting.
