I order from Panera Bread all the time. This is the only location that gets the orders wrong on a regular basis. If someone is ordering broccoli cheese soup- there is a good chance that person is looking to avoid meat. Well, they gave me chicken soup instead. Vegetarians beware!!! Lots of people choose to not eat meat- they don't care. It gets worse though, when I called to speak with the manager about the meat issue- she was completely apathetic to the fact that I didn't have anything to eat for dinner. The apathy turned quickly to sarcasm- she threw a 'trainee' under the bus for the error and her resolution was that she would send me a voucher in the mail. Doesn't help when you are looking to eat dinner in the moment after a stressful day. She couldn't even credit my app for the mistake. When I wanted her supervisor's name, she had the nerve to claim she didn't have one. So, we have a CEO that can't run a tiny site and doesn't care that people paid good money for a meal they can't eat....this employee is puffed up with conceit and needs serious training on how to treat people after she ruins someone's evening. We pay good money for the food- get it right and you won't have such a low overall score on Yelp. If you can't handle customers that are angry that you got the order wrong- be conscientious. I literally just got off the phone with the manager and not only to tell her that my order was wrong but I also told her to check out these reviews so she knows what is being said about her store and her staff. Honestly I'm not going back. I'm the second person within two weeks of each other with the same complaint. Nobody was there and they still got it wrong. This location has mostly self service kiosks. There really isn't any interaction with anyone working here. They put your food on a shelf and call your name. I've been twice this week since I'm here for work and the first time they forgot my watermelon cup as my side. The second time was fine except because I had 1 extra salad dressing with my salad, you could tell the amount of actual salad was decreased. Grateful that you're still serving. But I can't help write a review on the terrible quality of the order we received. I ordered a chipotle avocado melt and there was no chicken. My mom got a frontega chicken and there was one or two pieces of dry chicken and that too had fallen outside of the sandwich. It was soggy and didn't even have cheese. When the waitress told me, "you can microwave your bacon over there," I knew customer service wasn't added into the price. I ordered a bacon, egg brioche sandwich and so did my colleague, but didn't receive bacon in either sandwich. That's ok. Accidents happen. So, I asked a waitress and she said she'll bring it out. She brought both portions in a to-go soup cup. Not even separated, but all lumped together. I then went to get my portion but it was cold. This is the only Panera close to me so I give it multiple chances and they just disappoint every time. This Panera is one of the slowest locations. Customer service is meh to non existent. And they are ALWAYS out of French baguettes no matter what time I come in. This has happened over 10 times already. The only plus is the location is clean. read more

This Panera is a really great addition to our area to give us all a healthier lunch option than the usual pizzerias and delis we often visit. The "to go" concept here makes it really easy to get your meal quickly and efficiently. You can order at one of the many touch screens in the store and wait for your order to be placed on the shelf for pickup or you can make it even easier and download the Panera app so that you can place your order ahead of time, pay and then just stop in the store to pick up from the shelf. My office has used the delivery service a few times too when it's to hard to get out of the office and that has been great. Docked one star because there have been a few mistakes with orders but just make sure to check your bag before you leave and they are happy to fix anything. read more

They are awful to their employees (no incentive or any compensation for the entirety of COVID-19 is just the start) and the food is beyond bland that feel I can actually taste the micro-plastics. If you get food to go, check your order! Last Friday my pasta Alfredo was dried up, a spoonful of sauce and about an ounce of chicken. My bfs salad was half the size he normally gets, and they skimped on the avocado and forgot the bacon. I think it's because it was close to closing time. I love panera bread but they definitely need to work on a few things..... customer service is one. One time I received really stale croutons on my salad, it was also more than normal. That definitely turned me off on my salad that time. They need to work on consistency with the food, the since of my baguette is never the same and sometimes the bread is hollow.... they bread tastes so good, but they lack HUGE in being consistent. The last time I was there I asked for the bread as the side, and then gave me a multigrain roll without asking me. It was disgusting. I used to order breakfast and lunch from this location a couple of days a week as it was on my way to work. I was always satisfied with the device and my order was usually prepared correctly. On the few occasions there was a mistake it was quickly corrected. More recently I've frequented the stores in Edison, both at the Mall and the freestanding across the street. I've been disappointed at both as it their salad portion is what you would expect for a half salad. This may be a corporate change as I was disappointed with my order from the Somerset location today. I ordered the strawberry poppyseed salad. It used to be chick full of chicken. Today's order had only a few small pieces of chicken. The salad did fill more than half the box but it still was not full as it used to be. Also the baguette that is included has shrunk from maybe a sixth of a baguette to a sixteenth. The menu calls it out as 180 calories. This was closer to 45. This may have been my last visit to any Panera location. It's just not worth the price. read more

The app wouldn't let me give a half star. My colleague ordered lunch for the two of us today. She placed the order at 10:15 for an 11:15 delivery. This Panera is 2.3 miles down the same street from us. The same street!! A straight line! We called at 11:25 and was told that the driver could not find the address, so he returned to the store, but they would try again if we wanted them to. Whaaat? Yes please. At 12:07 we called again and was told they could not find the order and they would remake and send, but all the slips are time stamped 11:00. Needless to say, we received our order at 12:30, over 2 hours from our ordering. Our money is promised to be refunded, but aside from the food's arrival, well past our lunch, the food itself was inedible. My friend's Mediterranean sandwich had no cheese or pesto. My salad, aside from not being in the usual 2 in 1 box resembled something that was assembled from garbage scraps. Multiple times in the past they've forgotten to put the chicken in my Thai Chicken Salad, sounds pretty self explanatory to make doesn't it? I really question the people making/double checking the orders here. Today they forgot half my order and gave me a bag of chips even though I paid extra to upgrade my side to a fruit cup. I mobile ordered my order it was supposed to be ready I. Ten to fifteen minutes I even gave them an additional ten minutes as it was the lunch rush. I arrived approx five minutes after and still was not ready I only ordered two item. My name was no longer even on either screen so I asked where my order was since it was not on the shelf. While they did give me a complimentary cookie it did not change the fact I was now late to my appointment. 25 minutes waiting that is ridiculous. I was visiting from out of state and wanting Panera. Usually when I walk in to a Panera, there is a line. I saw tablets where I could place my order. The manager Victor offered to take my order. I ordered something from the pick 2. He suggested the Chicken Fuji Apple Salad. I tried it and it was delicious! I was impressed with the customer service I received. The place was clean and quiet.
