My wife loves this place. I often joke we could just go to a hospital instead and eat at the cafeteria. But really they have good food and healthier options than a lot of the places around. My husband and I have been going to this PANERA BREAD at this location for several years now. Unfortunately, just this past weekend, my husband and I got really bad food poisoning from their food! Also, I found a long dark hair in my Salad that I had for take out! (See photo). They got rid of their "Value duets" that were only $8.99 for half sandwich and soup. Now for the same items, I have to pay $13.98, even with Mix & Match. The prices have really sky rocketed every year at this place! Rewards don't justify what you spend on this place. This is the second time I have come to this Panera location to order a 16 ounce drink that when served, was over an inch below the top edge of the cup. When I asked why my cup wasn't full, I'm told "That's the way we are told to make it.". If I purchase a 16 ounce drink, I expect 16 ounces in my cup. On top of that, I usually order these sausage, egg, and cheese asiago bagel sandwich. I get out to my truck and head for work to find that there is no sausage in my sandwich. The woman making my coffee was not happy about remaking me a coffee that was actually full. On Friday, September 12, I placed an order for delivery of half a tuna salad sandwich and half of strawberry poppyseed salad. I paid $24.50 for these two items to be delivered. When my order arrived, I found that the tuna fish salad sandwich was only 3 inches wide, at its widest point , the bread was at the end of the loaf therefore tapered down. Upon calling Panera, I was told there was no way of compensating me (because I didn't have my order number) and I ordered it through Uber. I was told to call Uber, upon calling Uber I found that the only way I could get help was through the Uber app. I could not find any option to reach out to customer service on the Uber app. It shouldn't be so difficult to talk to someone and get my issue resolved!!! We haven't been to Panera in over a year. Randomly stopped by today because the 2 brunch spots we tried to go to were packed and the wait was too long. Looks like Panera revamped their menu and added some upgrades and new items. Everything was good except the chicken sandwich I ordered barely had any chicken in it... Food was fine. Haven't been to a Panera in a while and didn't realize that they went to ordering at a terminal. Was standing looking at the menu for a while a worker was stocking the bakery right near me. She never once engaged with me to greet me or say 'hey just use that terminal to order'. I was the only one standing there (not a busy time) and finally realized on my own that i could order at the terminal. Just seems like poor customer service and not very welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a large catering order same day for a surprise customer visit from this Panera for delivery. I will be straight forward and say this was a LARGE order, and I always try to order ahead of time, but we found out about the visit today at 5:00am. I got a call shortly after placing the order, asking if we could push the order time from 12 to 1 because they had another large catering order and I immediately agreed, knowing that last minute catering orders, especially that large can absolutely affect restaurant timing. I just shifted our schedule an hour to account for it. They arrived with all the food at 12:09 and I was amazed and even made a comment along the lines of "oh you guys are super early, thank you so much!" and the woman who was dropping off the food snaps at me with an attitude saying "in the future, please give us 24 hours notice for large catering orders, because I had to come in on my day off for this." That is absolutely uncalled for. Trust me, I get it. It sucks. I hate having to do stuff like this to companies. But to come in to a customer's business and snap at them for an order you accepted is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not ever be ordering from them again, which sucks because they had been in my regular rotation when ordering food for business events, usually $700 to $1000 orders. If you are looking for good sandwiches and salads in the Vancouver area for catering or just for a good lunch, I HIGHLY recommend Foode Cafe and Catering. They are wonderful, the director of operations, Joseph is amazing, and they are always more than willing to work with me with last minute cases like this. And their quality is unmatched. read more

I just went there this Evening. I used to get the sandwich that had carved turkey, avocado, bacon, etc..... on it but they only have the deli sliced kind now. No biggie. I love this location right off mill plain. We especially like their outside eating options. I heard some compare their food to hospital food but that has never been our experience. Don't come here on your lunch break. Even if you order online. This is the second time I had to wait over 10 min for my food past the time they quoted. I ordered at 12:19pm, system says my food will be ready at 12:29. I leave at 12:25 and get there at 12:28. I didn't have my food in hand until 12:47. Thursday May 20,2021. Solo lunch. As usual, there is ample available parking and I believe 5 or 6 stalls specifically designated for curbside pick up. Today's "Pick 2" lunch selection for me was the seasonal Strawberry Poppyseed with Chicken. Per their website the salad is described as, "Chicken raised without antibiotics, romaine, mandarin oranges and fresh strawberries, blueberries and pineapple tossed in poppyseed dressing and topped with toasted pecan pieces." In my opinion, this salad is a little tangy and lightly sweet. It is quite refreshing. I added chicken as the salad is usually made without chicken. For my second part of my "Pick 2" lunch I chose the Broccoli Cheddar soup. Their website is described as "Chopped broccoli, shredded carrots and select seasonings simmered in a velvety smooth cheese sauce." I liked the creaminess of the soup and the abundance of broccoli pieces within the soup. I would order this soup again. When you order the "Pick 2" you are also given the choice of bread, apple or kettle chips as a side. Today I chose the French baguette as my side. For my drink, I chose the fountain drink of Plum Ginger Hibiscus Tea, it's refreshing and zero calories, so that's a win for me! I rounded out my meal with a Lemon Drop cookie, as it is half off when you order the "Pick 2". The staff has been friendly and knowledgeable every time I have been here. These workers clearly hate their job. I ordered a HOT caramel latte, it was served in a paper cup and was even double cupped (as if it was hot..), but the milk was ice cold.. The worst Panera Bread location ever! The clerk at the order counter didn't know how to order some of the items and he was extremely slow. His name tag stated that he was "team lead". Shocking, because he seemed like a new employee. He moved at a snails pace. We waited 23 minutes for our small order (3 items). The inside restaurant was so cold we were forced to sit outside in the hot sun. We could see into the cooking/prep area. Lots of very young employees, maybe high school age, working slowly as they chatted and joked around with one another. We will never go to this restaurant again, ever. read more

As a Dasher this is by far the worst Panera I've ever picked up orders from and today was the icing on the cake. I came into the store and let them know I had an order. Carrie was the person helping me and asked for first and last name. I told her and then she tells me that Doordash sent me too early to pick up the order. I then explained to her (nicely btw) that they (Panera) have the ability to choose when a dasher is sent an order request through the app to avoid long wait times for the dasher. Literally just trying to help them out because this is my neighborhood Panera and its sad to see how bad this store is. This apparently pissed her off (woke up on the wrong side of the bed perhaps?) and let me know that is ABSOLUTELY not how it works. I said actually it is..you can change it in the portal/tablet or whatever you use. She then tells me I need to leave. I said I can't leave until I have the order. She tells me I'm not getting the order and she's cancelling it and asks for my name so she can make sure I never come into their store again. The thought of not receiving orders from their store actually made me happy. In all my time dashing I've probably had one or two orders actually be ready when I arrive. Its usually a waste of my time to accept an order at their store. So I decide to cancel the order from my end because I didn't really trust that she was going to actually do it and I didn't need that hanging over my head. So I open my phone to go through the process of unassigning the order and she tells me if I don't leave the store she's going to call security and have me physically removed. I explain that I'm in the process of doing what you asked...removing myself from the order and I'll be on my way once I do but if you feel the need to call security then by all means go ahead. This was an absolutely WILD interaction. I was literally trying to help them out because they clearly struggle with Doordash orders. The only reason it is getting the 1 star is because the pre packaged chips were good. The food was horrible. Last time I had a sandwich that bad was probably in grade school 50 yrs ago. I had the chipotle chicken. Consisted of 2 pieces of bread some sort of of chicken and sauce with an onion. Looked nothing like the picture. Bread wasn't toasted, grilled or use of a panni press. It was like it was microwaved. Warm then dry and chewy. I couldn't t eat it. I threw it away. The Greek salad was greens with a few slices of onion and a side of dressing. It was bad too. They also missed part of our order. Customer service was horrible, rude. Please do not waste your money on this location. Not good. Seems to be a common problem. I went into this Panera Bread today to buy a salad for lunch and it turned into a huge fiasco. I asked for a mediterranean salad and the cashier told me they don't have any such thing. I went out to my car, checked my menu on grubhub for whatever I usually order and oh, turns out it's called a greek salad. Fine, whatever. I placed the order through the grubhub app for pickup and ran a couple of errands while I waited for the order. I got the notification that the order was ready at 12:50. Hopped back over. No salad and they can't actually even find my order. I present the receipt multiple times and rather than just making the stupid $10 salad the staff at Panera Bread at every level decide I should be treated like some kind of thief who is after their romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes and the two kalamata olives I eventually receive. The staff eventually fetches the manager who literally spends twenty minutes of her time and my time trying to figure out what to do. At this point all the staff and some customers are uncomfortable and I am visibly annoyed. I can't get a refund because panera told grubhub my salad was already ready which it was not. The manager tells me she needs to ask HER manager what to do. Like are you serious? Make. the salad. So eventually she actually enters the order number as I have repeatedly suggested to multiple people and what do you know my order is in the computer. Amazing. She claims it's grubhub's fault because they submitted my order with my last initial ahead of my first name. That's funny it seems like you should probably know how that works. Incredibly, instead of immediately dispatching her large staff to just make the damn salad, she goes on a hunt for a salad for "G Matt" instead of "Matt" which surprise surprise, doesn't exist either. Only THEN after wasting half an hour of my time and being totally and completely certain they don't remake a $10 salad that has theoretically been sitting on an unrefrigerated shelf for half an hour is it acceptable to this manager to just make the damn salad. BTW if that manager ever reads this, I just want you to know this would have gone a whole lot worse if you had seriously been able to find that nonexistent salad and presented it to me like all is well now after making me stand at your smoothie counter for half an hour. Maybe this sounds petty I don't know. ALL this was petty. The way I was treated was wildly petty and I give what I get. It was embarrassing and I'm never going in there again. It is inexplicable to me that my value as a customer here doesn't hit the bar of a ten dollar salad so I can just be on my way. Oh and the salad wasn't even good. Who are you kidding with this act like you are safeguarding the most heavenly greek salad in Vancouver. I would have saved time making it at home and gotten a better salad too. read more

I've had issues with this Panera before. Swore I'd never go there again, but was driving by and thought I'd give them 1 more try. BIG MISTAKE. I ordered breakfast sandwiches with over easy eggs, one with bacon and one with sausage. Apparently she didn't hear the bacon part because 1 had no meat (I was not charged for meat). The eggs were definitely not over-easy - more like over-hard. My orange juice was expired and when I asked for another one all the OJ's in their fridge were expired. Oh goodness they are painfully S-L-O-W. Food quality is inconsistent. I do mostly takeout and there's no easy way to rate their food quality. Sometimes the salad is good. Most of the times the salad looks and taste old. I once ordered a tuna salad sandwich. When I got it most of the tuna had squeezed out of the sandwich. Not all Panera Breads are as terrible this particular one in Vancouver; some Panera breads are really great and smartly managed. this is honestly the worst Panera bread restaurant I have ever been in. Horrible unapologetic experience with Sarah, the "manager." The customer service at this location is horrendously rude. After having a problem with the myPanera app (the app had an error submitting my order), Sarah explained that I need wait 20 minutes and call back at the time my order was promised. Unfortunately, I had to walk into the cafe to get my order going. I specifically used curbside so I didn't have to unload my two kiddos and carry them into the cafe.
