The most disgusting Panera ive ever been to. First of, another customer have to alert one of the employees that their coffee bar need refilling. Same customer was made feel that it was a nuisance for that employee to refill the coffee containers, like he wasnt hired to do said job. Employees are more interested in flirting with each other, touching each other with the same gloved hands that handle food. Yould think theyld be more sanitary considering Rona et al. NOPE! On and off with my visits to this Panera Bread. I had weeks coming here 2-3 times, and then once a month. They are OK. You will get food and service here. How good they will be? That's depend. One thing I wonder about this location, how much the employees salary is. If judging by their mood and level of tiredness, I don't know if they even get paid lol. So in terms of service. Might be wise to give the employees a raise so they will at least pretend to like their job. read more

We order delivery and pick up. Our orders are always correct and the food is always good. I never had an issue at this location.

I have been coming to this Panera for over 10 years. Sometimes we go as often as once a week or sometimes much less often but they have always been very consistent over the years. They keep the dining room clean and and there are always busboys there helping people put their dishes away and taking care of the dining room. The cashiers are generally very friendly and many of them have been there for years. My absolute favorite thing here is their Asiago cheese bagel. I love getting that toasted with just butter. It is one of my favorite things to eat. They have probably eight other different bagel choices and different cream cheese spreads to choose from. They have pastries, cookies and brownies as far as desserts go too. For lunch I love to get their pick two combo. Half a salad/half soup/half sandwich...you pick two...your choice. I always pretty much get the same thing Sierra Turkey and Broccoli Cheese soup. They have fancy lemonades, smoothies green teas you can buy. They have Pepsi products out of the fountain machine. They offer a few different type of cold brew teas and they have sweet tea which I never find to be very good. It's either too strong or not enough sugar...they never quite get it right. I can't imagine what would cause this place to get 3 stars. I noticed today I don't "check in" to Panera as often as I visit. But each time I come the employees and the atmosphere is always pleasant. I have a love/hate relationship with this location. When ordering in sometimes it can take forever for someone to even take your order and getting it prepared is no better. They definitely are never in a hurry to get people in and out of the location, or their faces! I have decided that I will only place online orders from now on with their app, which is what I have done since summer started. It's quick and straight to the point, extra bonus points for having Apple Pay! This way of ordering runs pretty seamless most of the time except once or twice when even that I had to wait a long time for, while standing on the wall with many other aggravated customers that were waiting on their food as well. The food is always on point though. Never a complaint there. I love to get the frontega chicken panini and either French onion soup or the chicken and wild rice soup. These always hit the spot! Great tasting and comforting foods to eat that will leave you full for quite some time. I usually never have a bad experience here so I'd usually give it a 4/5....but today , I was given a whole Caesar salad that I paid for with chicken and only got 4 pieces of barely full slices. Also it was a walnut in it and coincidentally I am allergic to walnuts. So I had to throw the salad away. Other than this experience, it's usually almost always good. I really like this Panera. The people are nice and the food is amazing! My favorite dish is the chicken soba noodle bowl because the broth is nice and thick, they give a good amount of noodles and chicken with a mixture of vegetables, and the taste is perfect. It smells really good too. This is also the best place to study. The atmosphere is great. if you like to have noises around when studying it's perfect. People go there for work, studying, or just a quick meal. It doesn't take them long to make your food. It doesn't take an hour but it may take like 5-10 min, maybe. I love this Panera and have been there too many times to count. The staff is always cheerful, helpful, and fast. Like any other Panera, it's got the carbs you want and really good salads. My go-tos for the pick 2 are the fuji chicken salad (must try) and the chicken noodle soup. When I used to eat bagels, the asiago bagel was my fave. I just wish I had Panera near work. Gotta say Panera is like all the other restaurants in MD, barely adequate. I don't know if MD is at the end of the railroad tracks or if the cooks/chefs just are not good. My family has noted how much better food from the same chain restaurants is outside of Maryland. I must agree. I Just had a 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. The sandwich -- turkey, apple, and cheese. The turkey was old, the apple was pretty much non-existent, the arugula was a handful of mixed greens salad. Pretty disappointing they couldn't take the time to prepare a good sandwich with fresh ingredients given what Panera charged me. The soup was pretty much out of a can. I should have checked the nutritional value before I ordered -- the chicken noodle soup has 1400 mg of sodium in a bowl. That is the same as a can of soup from the local grocery store. Not good. This location has done a few renovations that the famous chef Thomas approves. They redesigned the men's bathroom so that one is not visible when the door is opened. Great improvement for the male customers. The food here is good. Great oatmeal. Great pastries. The famous chef Thomas loves the chicken noodle soup, turkey sandwich, different flavors of ice tea, the apples. This location has descent service and relatively clean. I usually love going to Panera but this visit was not the greatest. As ordering Hot Chocolate one of the employees says to me in a sassy and unprofessional manner, "Are you sure you do not want chocolate drizzle, marshmallows or whipped cream with that!" I was mad but kept my mouth shut because I know it's the holidays and she probably just wanted to leave. When I call ahead to place an order, I expect my food to be packaged as specified and ready to go. Panera did just that and more.... the friendly gentleman offered to help carry my packages to my car. Efficiency and over the top service. food is still good, service is BAD.... I have noticed in the past six months that this location's service has gone down hill with recent front cashier staff members attitude of not listening to customer orders and no attempt to be helpful and get the order out completely. I ordered breakfast items for three people and had to keep asking various staffs for my food items like my Baguette, drinks, sandwiches, which they didn't give me with my pastries and didn't bother to tag team each other to take care f the customer's complete order or tell the customer what to expect.. And they decided that they don't want to serve soup yesterday also yet...this weekend unlike other times I have been there. We thought this Panera was reliable for having soups ready at 9-10 am for brunch but not anymore. We thought that the Panera in La Plata was an abnormal bad location due to similar slack of service because the manager there didn't care... I guess something has changed so that both Panera in Waldorf and LaPlata service are now equally lack luster... There seemed to be no longer the same professionalism of management for good food service in this Waldorf store now as before... Counter staffs make food preparation decisions and others just follows along with out any manager consultation. Looks like children in charge, without adult supervision. The food is good as always not a probem there. Especially when dude with dreads is preparing. He is awesome! But the online app order execution is horrible. I have been here 5 times in past 2 week. First time was spot on! Second time was ok besides the order was messed up slightly. They added apples as side when should have been bread. No big deal. But the 3,4,5 time I waited nearly 15 minutes after I arrived for them not to bring the order out too curbside. On the 3rd visit not only was the order not taken out to me but once I went insude grabbed the order with my ticket stapled too it.....I drove home 1/2hr away to find it wasnt even what I ordered. I called IAN at the store he was great gave me refund. All good. The 4 time they didnt bring it out again. I even called inside. No answer. I went inside had to ask for it. They had to make it. Then I was able to leave. The 5th time is what really upset me. The Manager Roxy was worthless! I had to again walk inside to get my order. I walked past her and asked is that for Me . It wasnt. I walk another 10feet and my order is sitting on tbe shelf highlighted curbside pickup my name etc. ok so roxy walks past without my order and serves the people behind me in line. Then i get to car the order is "Wrong". When ordering online it has special instructions. Well i filled out these special instructions twice as too what I wanted done. "Special". Well this is in the hands of the person taking the order to the customer. Roxy. When i called to voice my opinion she was rude. Acted as if she didnt really care. What was she to do? Love, love, LOVE this Panera Bread!! This place really is one of the best around! You walk in, you're greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. Your order is taken, ACCURATELY, and filled within minutes, if not seconds. They point out any freebies or discounts you might have on your account (if you have a Panera Bread card). And they send you on your way with an equally cheerful, but not cheesy, good-bye. The chairs surrounding the fireplace are comfy and plentiful. The counters, tables, floors, etc. are clean. And the food is GOOD! Love the cinnamon-crunch cake, cinnamon crunch bagel (yes, I like cinnamon :) and their salads. New to the area and excited to find a Panera practically in my backyard. I love , love, love the Asian Sesame salad and would buy one everyday if only it weren't $8. My salad today did not have any cilantro in it and that basically ruined the salad. That's the only reason I get it as it pairs well with the Asian Sesame Vinaigrette. Best Panera bread location! Cozy atmosphere. Tons of seating available. Very friendly staff. Friendly patrons as well. It has a homey feeling and I love hanging out with my family here, doing school work, or even grabbing a quick bite to-go. Fresh and delicious cafe food. Some of my favorites are chicken noodle soup or broccoli cheddar in a bread bowl, thin egg white and veggie sandwich, and the Greek goddess Cobb! I had to sit in a car for 20 minutes (with a toddler), call the store twice and have someone tell me they tried to call me when they clearly didn't, only to have to cancel my order because they ran out of the bagels.While we are all trying to deal with this new reality it doesn't mean that you get to have substandard customer service. There are a few reasons that I gave Panera (and this Panera) "Meh. I've experienced better." First, the service is not good. The staff is not really interested in what you need/want. They forget to ask if you want apples, chips, or a sprouted or white dinner roll with your meal. If you want a special order, they're not interested. Next, the line is so long and moves so slowly. I know that should prove that the restaurant is good, but it really seems to prove that the service is slow. People park in the fire lanes (not something the restaurant can help), and they're there for (I timed this) 30 mins. waiting for their food. It's actually a danger. The food is put together sloppily. Finally (and this won't win me friends, I already know this), although the menu is full of options with lots of variety (which is great), there are NO vegan options at all (except black bean soup, and I can't vouch that it is actually vegan.) I created a vegan option from their Mediterranean sandwich by asking for "no cheese," but a place like Panera, with so many options, could easily have a few good options. Almost all of the salads have meat, and all of them have cheese. Yes, you can ask them to leave it off, but speaking from experience, that's always a gamble. It would also be much appreciated if they'd add soy milk to the milk options for coffee. I did ask for it, and I got a "No, we don't have that," which could have been better customer service if someone had said, "I don't know if we have that. Let me check with a manager." Even people who aren't vegan have trouble with milk/dairy. I fully-appreciate that veganism is a bit niche, but lots of people are going in that direction, and even people who aren't vegan have issues with dairy. I weighed the fact that it's a dietary choice against the other things that I'm not fond of in the restaurant. I also weighed it against the other bevy of choices that are available. I think a rating of, "Meh, I've experienced better," is fair. Do get yourself a Panera card though. Those things are pretty valuable. Free stuff! My family goes here a lot, which is why I end up here a lot (eating the same thing, because there just aren't a lot of choices for me.) As a result, I get a lot of points here, and the card is definitely worth it. read more
