You are greeted by two friendly people as you enter. The friendly raspy-voiced woman appreciates your effort at Italian when you say Bongiorno but she talks to you in English anyways. You tell her you want a spicy sandwich with porchetta, maybe eggplant and arugula. She suggests cheese instead of eggplant. You concur. The guy starts your order by slicing thick pieces off the ginormous roast pork in the meat case. When you ask the woman if you can charge your phone she guides you to a corner seat near an outlet. She brings the sandwich in a few minutes and types the free WiFi password into my phone when I ask her for it. PS The sandwich was just as amazing as the service. read more

They have fresh ingredients, you can see them make your sandwich. Although the Bread was too hard - wish it was softer. They forgot to put pesto in my sandwich - tasted very dry- so I knew something was missing! I asked and they said sorry and added the pesto right away. I also added sun dried tomato to the sandwich and it tasted much better! It's a small tiny place, so expect to wait for a stool side table, or stand and eat, or get it to go. Had the Amarone which was porchetta with chicory. Great little spot after the Vatican. Very few seats inside. Can maybe fit four people. Just took it to go and walked around. I would come here again and try other stuff if this was closer to our hotel read more

First, something you should know: a panini in Italy is just a sandwich, not the toasted version you'd expect if you're American. This is a good place to go if you're looking for a cheap bite to eat while visiting Vatican City (it's just outside the border). There's a wide selection of meats and cheeses and the friendly employees will gladly help you build your perfect sandwich. I had a prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula panini which was quite delicious and only 5€! My only complaint is the bread was a bit hard which makes the sandwich somewhat hard to chew. But from a week of experience eating Italian bread, I have a feeling that might be how all their bread is. There's not a lot of seating so be prepared to grab and go. Stumbled upon this place after visiting the Vatican. It's a small sandwich shop with a few seats inside that's probably intended to be a grab and go. The behind the counter staff is friendly and accommodating. The sandwiches or should I say paninis are made on Italian breads with fresh cheese and meats. I could see, smell, and taste the quality of the food. It's a good sandwich, but is it so out of this world I'd walk a mile for it? Ehh, prob not. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich has its pros. GET THE MERLOT PANINI WITH CHILLI JAM. The chilli jam is amazing and even though it costs extra it definitely compliments the sandwich. I felt like Rome generally had smaller portions of food but this sandwich was definitely fairly large even in American standards. The panini is relatively cheap too which is a plus. Walked around 15 minutes here on a snowy day and have no regrets. read more

Found this place near the Vatican and I was impressed with the paninis here! They have a unique take on sandwiches and the ingredients are really fresh! There was a small group there that also recommended to me the cheese platter but I was just grabbing food so I didn't have time. I ended up getting the pork cheek and chili jam panini and it was amazing. The chili jam adds just a small amount of heat so you don't need to worry about it being too spicy. After visiting the Vatican we walked a few blocks over here. It was amazing! Great lunch spot after walking around the Vatican We got the Círò and the Sangiovese. The Círò is more of a melted panini with black pork and sun dried tomatoes, and the Sangivoese is more of a cold panini with a balsamic vinegar in it. read more

They have menus in different languages and they will ask you what language when you walk in. We both got the simple porkers sandwhich and it was amazing. Delizioso! Stopped there for lunch today and had a Ciro: pork cheek, cheese, sun dried tomatoes and chili jam. My daughter had a campano. The place was hopping with mostly locals and some tourists. We were served quickly as the place was mostly empty when we got there. As we ate, the tiny shop became crowded and we saw some locals get served before the tourists. Walked into this hole in the wall type place looking for a glass of wine and a snack before heading out for the evening. The place is tiny, with a few bar stools around the edge of the shop, a large counter full of inviting looking cured meats and cheeses and walls filled with bottles of wine, oil & vinegar and jars of chili jam and tapenade, which you can purchase. We were warmly welcomed by the two owners, who instantly recognized that we needed an English menu and were very helpful with giving suggestions for food and drink. We ordered the 'small' tasting plate of meat and cheese and a couple of glasses of Chianti. What arrived was a chopping board piled high with meat and cheese and a bag of fresh, warm bread. Everything on the board was delicious and whilst eating we were given more treats free of charge - You won't leave hungry!! This is a great little deli/sandwich bar serving beautiful food and run by warm, generous people. Even the local neighborhood dog, Fonzie was welcome and treated to huge chunks of cheese! read more

My wife and I each had waters, house red wine, and a sandwich, and were happy with our meals. Very small space (maybe 3 meters x 2.5 meters, with some counters around the side). We were fortunate to have good seats in the corner, but if those aren't open the seating may be an issue. After a long morning of Vatican City-ing, a friend recommended Panino Divino to me. After a short walk from Vatican City, I found it. It was pretty easy because it was one of the only places on this narrow road that had people in/near it. An amazing panini, better than most of the other ones I had in Rome. I ordered the Merlot, it was wonderful. In particular you have to try the "Panino con Porchetta" (a typical stuffed pork flavoured with many spices and grilled directly on the fire). The best freaking panini I have ever had in my life was here at Panino Divino. I got the Ciro which is slices of guanciale (pig cheek), mixed Caciotta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and chili jam. I watched them make the paninis at the counter so all the ingredients are super fresh, and they toasted it so it came out warm. It was an amazing combination of salty, savory, sweet, with a bit of heat. And the bread was so good (although it did tear up the roof of my mouth!!) And it was only 6 euros!! Between the bread, the excellent sourced quality meat, the acidic sun-dried tomatoes, and the sweet chili jam which contributed a sweet and spicy note... heaven!
