Panino's Pizzeria in Park Ridge was such a fun spot to try. I started with the Panzerottini, which are like little pizza rolls so good, though a bit on the oily side. My absolute favorite was the Cavatelli Vodka. I'm a sucker for good vodka pasta and this one was creamy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in the suburbs. The pizza was also really solid with a crispy crust, and I love that they offer several different crust options to switch it up next time. To end the meal, I had fried dough topped with Nutella and it was the perfect sweet bite fresh, warm, and so tasty. The service here really stood out too. My server was kind and attentive, and I even got to meet Sarah, one of the owners, who was so welcoming and friendly. The whole team made the place feel warm and inviting. They have multiple locations, but the Park Ridge one has a great atmosphere and even a cute patio for nicer weather. It does get busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Panino's has been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember, and for some reason my family never really dined here until recently. We've always eaten some small bites at the local food festivals, but I guess we were always under the impression that Panino's only served / was only good for pizza. I was proven wrong, with my first time dining in showcasing their ability to cook some seriously great Italian dishes and changing my mind on this just being an ordinary pizzeria. The dining area is small but cozy, with a cute atmosphere that is perfect for intimate gatherings or family dinners. You wouldn't expect this from their whimsical logo and signage on the outside, to my surprise the area felt welcoming and a bit more upscale, unlike most pizzerias that push for take-out or delivery. For food we opted for the Regina Margherita pizza, Linguine Chicken Tettrazini, and lasagna - all based on recommendations provided by our amazing waitress. For starters we got the riceballs, fried calamari and cream of chicken soup. There was not one thing from this long list that we ordered that we were unsatisfied with, and everything was extremely good, fresh, and of the highest quality. The chicken tettrazini definitely surprised me the most, as I always knew this to be a quick family meal at home made with canned cream soups. This rendition of a comforting dish was definitely more luxurious, cheesy, and made so well. The pizza was amazing, with the dough being airy and crispy and the char from the wood fired oven adding great flavor. The cream of chicken soup was addicting....didn't think that was something I would enjoy as much as I did! The staff here is all so welcoming and attentive. We visited on a Thursday evening for dinner and though tables were filling up with the dinner rush beginning, our waitress was always checking in on us, making casual conversation while juggling all the other patrons simultaneously. It's quite evident that Paninos is popular with the amount of people dining in, taking out, and delivery orders during the short amount of time we were there, so I highly recommend reservations if you have a larger party or if you're planning on having a meal during the weekends! read more

My cousin introduced me to this hidden gem in Park Ridge. You can't get authentic Italian anywhere better. I'll put my money on the baked clams here against anything in the city. New Haven style pizza with housemade sausage was excellent. We also shared a seafood salad which came with escarole and beans...delicious. Full bar excellent service. I have ordered carry out/ delivery about 6 times. Everything has been delicious. Panino's has the BEST gluten free pizza crust I have encountered in the past 20 years! I never had Detroit style pizza before- and theirs is amazing! Even non-GF eaters love it and there is no way you would guess it is GF. My newest favorite is a GF Detroit with the Verona toppings and instead of chicken I get sausage or bacon. AND another bonus is that it re-heats equally well in the microwave or the regular oven.....even the 2nd or 3rd day after you get it! Unheard of, for any kind of pizza!! It was okay. It won't ever rise to the level of my favorite pizza but I'd have it again. We got a pizza with sausage, pepperoni, olives, and green peppers. The ingredients seemed good quality. We also got the Gino's rolls and those were not good; there was too much bread and they were a little too charred for my preference. The desserts were good though; we got the limoncello cake and tiramisu. The tiramisu was my favorite but you'd do well with either. I will try them again because they have several styles of pizza, they have daily specials, and they have more than just pizza. We stopped in at 8:30 on a Wednesday evening and received a warm welcome as the kitchen is open until 9. The waiter Fred treated us with genuine warmth and was so excited to make suggestions on the menu. The seasonal gnocchi filled with pumpkin in a brown butter, sage sauce was amazing! The brick oven pizzas were excellent as well, we tried a white pizza - think cheesy garlicky goodness and a light chunky tomato with sausage pizza. Both had a wonderful chew to the crust. The restaurant is cozy, with a smaller dining room so be sure to call ahead. There is a cute outdoor area on the sidewalk outside as well. They are extremely supportive of people with celiac issues. I've gone to Panino's in Park Ridge a few times in the past 4-5 years, and have never had a bad pizza or any bad pasta entrees ever. It's always been a very good experience. So I'm not sure what happened, but this weekend we picked up 2 different pasta entree's for dinner to go and meatballs, and the food was not good at all. Most of the problem could be pointed directly at the pasta sauce. It literally tasted like somebody took puréed crushed tomato right out of the can and microwaved it real quick and dumped it on the food. There was no hint of salt, oregano or garlic. The sauce was an embarrassment! The meatballs came in a container with the same flavorless sauce. The meatballs too were flavorless. It just tasted like somebody rolled ground beef into balls and cooked them. No garlic, no salt or pepper - just nothing! The 2nd entree was also terrible. read more

The Pizza is good but it's Chicago, the pizza is good everywhere. The pizza here is some of the most expensive you will find in the Chicagoland area. I paid $33 for a 14 inch pizza, pick up order. They told me it would be ready in 45 minutes which I thought seemed a little long. Panino's Pizzeria was, frankly, a very pleasant surprise. We agreed to meet friends here - they had recommended it. It looked like so many run-of-the-mill pizza/Italian food joints in the Chicago area, that we weren't expecting much. Boy, were we wrong. This is NOT nouvelle cuisine Italian-style, but rather stereotypical, Italian-American food that is hearty and quite tasty. Gratis bread to start the meal, followed by pork meatballs in red sauce and burrata. My wife had the lasagna - very nice portion, and I had the pork chops with broccoli. The wait staff (Fred) was bend over backwards accommodating us. The fried dough with chocolate was amazing. The prices are moderate. And none of us had pizza! I'm from Texas we have Never visited the area nor ordered or have family in the area, but yet a debit charge in the amount of $226.86 was made on November 25th, 2024. I called them this morning at 11:40 AM CT no answer and voice is full. We have contacted our local bank to address this serious fraud issue . My question is this, doesn't the establishment ever confirm with the client if in effect they are the individual placing the order? Theft is a serious crime not only the innocent client , but to the establishment also. I'm one who believes that if you have committed credit card fraud this should also be reported to all 3, three credit bureau along with severe criminal charges. I will find the perpetrator who has committed this crime. And I feel sorry for the establishment as well because they are trying to make a living just like every single American that is struggling because of inflationary cost that are eating our lunch. This place was AMAZING. Our group spent the entire day at the airport and after delayed and canceled flights this pizza HIT the SPOT. Our server Fred was the best. He was super helpful in accommodating our two celiac friends. Genuinely the best pizza I've ever had. We also got a cheese curd appetizer that was amazing as well. Paninos has really good food, order there quite often. The last 4 or 5 times I've ordered pick up and when I arrived I've been waiting anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes later than the time they told me my order would be ready for pick up. I understand things can get busy and most of the time I really dont mind waiting, but the other day I ordered a pizza WELL DONE and an order of RAVIOLI and I was told 30 minutes. I arrive pretty much on time and I end up waiting 30 more minutes. I get home open the pizza box and it was nowhere near well done , it was so not well done that when you take a piece of pizza and all the cheese from the other pieces pulls off with it, and the Ravioli was under cooked as well. I called to complain and the Manager/ Owner basically said sorry and there was nothing she could do about and then told me not to come back. Nice way to treat your loyal customers. This business does not serve good food nor good service. Emphasis on the service part. I wrote an honest review from one of my accounts on Google, and the owner of the restaurant claimed my accounts are fake and that the information was untrue. Then I went on my main account to reply to their original reply and they went as far as telling me what is right and what is wrong in my experience. As someone with IBD, their food caused my stomach to be upset all night long. The food was old, stale, overcooked, and oversalted. They do not take criticism about their restaurant about what to improve etc. This restaurant takes pride in being the best park ridge restaurant when it's not true. We are new to the area and have ordered Panino's for delivery twice (and surely will many more times!) Their pizza is SO FANTASTIC. You cannot go wrong with their pan pizza or Sicilian style pan pizza. I personally prefer the Sicilian style because of the delicious sauce on top. Absolutely HORRIBLE staff! REALLY overpriced! Tried to order carry out and asked about "hidden charges" such as hospitality fees on 11/14/24. We were ordering salads and asked to substitute olives for tomatoes (on pizza they are equal as an additional charge). I was told that's an "up charge" When I asked why I was told I that it created more work for the kitchen staff. Seriously???? How far in advance do they make salads that this substitution created more work"?!!!! Would they have to pick the tomatoes out of a pre made salad????? At $15 per salad I expect fresh made. I was then told I asked too many questions and was too difficult. She refused to take my order! I did not raise my voice or use any inappropriate language. She promptly told me that I hadn't ordered since May and was "too difficult" and said I would complain after I received my order. I have NEVER complained about their food quality or quantity. It's actually pretty good. She refused to take my order. There are hidden charges everywhere! It is not unreasonable to ask questions. I'm a huge fan of pizza. I'd say we order pizza once every 1-2 weeks, sometimes more. I was in the area with my Mom after an appointment, and we were hungry. Found this place on yelp and decided to swing by. We both ordered the old school Italian style pizza, i don't remember what it's called. It was good! It had a really nice flavor. I'm not a huge fan of a soft crust, and i felt it was a little under-cooked, but the flavor was nice. I'm not local, i live about 45 minutes away. While it was good, i wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Keep in mind we didn't try anything other than pizza, so i can't speak to their other food. It does look good! The store itself was nice and clean. It was pretty cold, we were sitting closer to the front windows and were freezing. We were there at an off-hour, and there were a couple employees sitting down talking and eating, and they were talking SO loud. It was really obnoxious. We could hardly have our own conversation because theirs was so loud. Some people just never pay attention to how their actions impact others. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and the chairs are hard. I wouldn't come here to have an extended meal because it just wouldn't be comfortable.
