By first class, I mean tremendous attention to detail in every aspect of both service and food. It felt like I was a guest in their home. You'll know what I mean after you visit. As mentioned in an earlier review, they have been in business 20 years. They being husband and wife. We never saw him, but my wife spotted a man in the kitchen and asked her. They make everything on the menu themselves - right down to the table bread. The food was absolutely superb and the presentation was exceptional. We had made a reservation because I learned about the place on Yelp and knew it was small. On the day we visited, it was quiet with only three tables (another cool aspect about a quiet highly differentiated evening) and the one of the couples we spoke with also heard about this place on Yelp. When we asked the owner, she said she didn't really know anything about Yelp until recently when they sent her some mail. This was a fantastic dinner and evening. I would love to come back soon!

It will set you back about 30 euros but it is worth every penny. Reservations are advised and I recommend fasting well before your meal. 10-courses is a lot of food. Every week the menu is different. Beets topped with horseradish creme fraiche, stewed pear, green salad with walnuts and smoked cheese 4. Stuffed pasta shell, ricotta/spinach/arugula, cherval (herb) 5. The name translates to 'head of the land' as the geography of the area comes to a point with the waterways there. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Everything from the decor, to the service, to the food is excellent. They have a B&B as well if you think you can't make it home after the tasting menu. It seems shocking that this place does not have a Michelin star(likely because Michelin is meat-biased) but for that I'm grateful. Kop is a diamond in the rough.

Walked a long distance to this restaurant because it was rated number two on vegan cow in rotterdam (the yelp for vegan restaurants). We were extremely disappointed. First of all we asked for tapwater and they refused to give it to us. I am environmentally conscious and I will not support the use of bottled water in a country where tapwater is clean and safe. Being extremely health-conscious I asked multiple times regarding dishes whether they were fried or not. The waitress assured me that the Soya ribs were not fried but were baked. However they were actually Fried with lots of oil dripping off of them. We ordered Vietnamese noodles, which came in dry and bland. We considered sending it back but decided to be nice and to make it more palatable asking for soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Without notifying us in advance they added three euros to the bill for the sweet-and-sour sauce. If the noodles were properly seasoned we would not have had to request the additional sweet and sour sauce. When we brought this up, they replied with "that's the price". We ended up paying €50 for two people for a very unsatisfactory meal. We will not be returning.
