Top notch coffee and it's situated in the heart of Konstanz. It's a large well decorated place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Plenty of chairs indoors and out that makes it easy to find seating for some good old people watching or to just give your feet a break from shopping around the area. I ended up getting their version of a hot mocha and it hit the spot on a chilly drizzly day. The staff was friendly enough and spoke broken enough English to get what I was trying to say. The prices for the coffees appeared reasonable enough. Really no complaints! read more

This is my favorite cafe in town, but timing is important. In the late afternoon, every high school kid in town is here and the noise level is crazy. On a Sunday at 4pm, I measured the background noise at a steady 68 to 73 decibels, about the level of a phone ringtone. At 1pm on a Monday, it was an average of 67 DB, just above normal conversation level. Avoid peak times and you will find a spot to sit and sip from your schokoccino (hot chocolate, steamed milk, espresso) or cafe au lait. People watching is of high quality along the Marketstätte pedestrian zone. They also have much better food options than Das Voglhaus, including curries, salads, wraps, and pastries. The chocolate torte is quite good and the yellow curry with chicken is just as good as Meera. read more

The food is mouthwatering delicious, and the staffs are friendly (especially if there is no language barriers). My German isn't there yet to order local food, so the first time was bit urrr, but the second and third times have been great. read more

Went here for a quick coffee and breakfast. Great quality and selection of assorted foods. The latte is good with the espresso punching through the milk. The yogurt parfait was industrial strength (thick Greek yogurt). Atmosphere is not so cozy as modern. Bottom line. Go. Very reliable and high quality. read more
