I contacted them because all their reviews were so positive. I have a 3,200 Sq ft attic that has been a hotel to my numerous feral cats/kittens and a few opossums and raccoons for 15 yrs now! They destroyed all the insulation and the heating/air ducting You ask how did this happen, well if you have ever dealt with a large group of feral cats that breed like rabbits, it becomes overwhelming very quickly especially when you don't even know they are up there! Well, we are finally down to two cats living up there so we knew IT WAS TIME TO GET THE ATTIC CLEANED UP, NEW INSULATION AND DUCTING AND THEN CLOSE IT UP FINALLY! I called three contractors expecting them all to turn down the job and I couldn't blame them if they did! Fortunately, SCI - Simons Const was the first company I called. Ryan answered the phone and said he would be out the next da1y to look at it. He went up into the attic and when he came back down he said YES, they would do the job and he explained in full detail to me what they needed to do and how they were going to do it! He also sent me a detailed bid THAT NIGHT and explained a lot of things can come up once it's cleaned up like wiring and structural issues. Obviously these would be added costs but I was informed by Don, who was amazing and worked like a supervisor along with all the crew, every step of the way if they saw anything that was a concern! I could never say enough GOOD THINGS ABOUT DON!!! He always kept me informed what they were doing, when they would be here and he always made sure they were not interrupting my daily activities! He always kept Ryan in touch of what was going on and then Ryan would call or text me too to make sure I knew what was going on! I tell you, THESE GUYS ARE ON IT and SO EASY TO WORK WITH!!! They also had to keep in touch with my heating/air Co, the insulation Co and my roofers because they had to cut holes in my roof to take out all the old insulation and ducting so we could put in the new stuff! Ryan suggested putting together a group text with everyone's numbers so that EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHEN, IT KEPT THE PROJECT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME ​The entire project only took 1 month but it felt like it was just a couple of weeks because everyone was so efficient and fortunately there were no unforseen issues I could go on forever about SCI - Simons Const, Ryan, Don and the wonderful crew but all you really need to know is THEY ARE THE BEST at least from my experience in every way!!! He also painted the walls, repaired some previously damaged drywall (you can't even tell where he repaired), removed our bathtub with 2 water knobs and converted it into a dual head shower with a newer home style 1 handle water mixer for my mom's old home. I am late writing this review, but wow I have nothing but great things to say about Reyes…read moreConstruction. Basilio was excellent to deal with and their work is excellent. We had them do two jobs and we are having them come back for another job building a home theater riser for us. They are competent and know what they are doing. Are first job (see photos) was for installing chair rail in my office where I meet with my clients. Excellent work! The second job was installing 24x48 porcelain at my home under our deck. Their work was excellent! In addition they went beyond the norm. He was able to help with other issues and we had one tile on a step to the upper deck that came off from another installer in 2019 and he was able to put it on which was very helpful. I have found that Basilio is a problem solver and is more than willing to help. He was even available for to pick up our 24x48 porcelain and did go and do the first group of big tiles, but we felt that it was more practical and prudent to have the rest shipped to us even though he was more than willing it was the right thing to do to help them. Our office is in Oakdale and our home is on 40 acres. I say this because he was able to come to both places. We have a super custom home and we have found that when we get bids more often then not we feel that the bids come in higher because of where we live and when the see the home they feel they can charge more. Not so with Reyes Construction and the owner Basilo, his bid was not the highest and not the lowest but he was very reasonable and his work superb. When we have our home theater done in Feb 2024 roughly now as I do this review I will show his work on the risers. Check out the photos. Basilio, thank you for your great work. The expansion entailed removing 2 different closets to make room for a shower. I have a new patio cover installed last week that I am pleased with. Much like several of the reviews already posted, I found communication and accuracy lacking in office-to-shop staff. The initial project bid was conducted in a thorough fashion by Richard who did respond via e-mail to my inquiries about changes to the initial contract. However, it took two rounds of communication with office staff to get a signed copy of the contract change agreement. Shortly after contracting for a patio cover, I received a lengthy e-mail with attachments from the 'production manager' which contained conflicting information about the delivery of materials. I had scheduled other work to be performed on my property contingent upon the delivery [date] and installation of this project. I received a call a day early that materials were being delivered but was unavailable to pay for the materials. I explained this to the driver who was courteous and understanding about the miscommunication. We agreed that I would mail the check since the miscommunication about the delivery date was "on them". I called the production manager to inform her of this and she had the audacity to argue the conflicting communication with me. Fortunately, I was where another person heard this conversation. I confirmed the installation date with her to make sure that was correct. I received a call from the installer on the first day of [expected] installation informing me that he could not come that day. He did arrive the next morning as promised and immediately saw that not all materials were delivered. He made calls and had the remainder pieces delivered a couple hours later. There was still a slotted panel missing, however, which meant he would not be able to complete the job that day as he'd intended. Luckily I had cleared my calendar for the following day in case of any further issues and was glad I did. The installer's frustration with the inefficiencies put on him was palpable, but he was courteous and respectful toward me the entire time. He stayed in communication with me and let me know exactly what would occur next in the process to correct the order and delivery errors. He stated several times that, regardless of the mistakes made before him, his main concern was my satisfaction and that I be happy with the final [installation of] product. The patio cover has since been cleared by the city building inspector. Life is good. Commendation to installers Enrique and Adrian for doing what they said they would and doing it well! I signed a contract with Patio Kings, a division of RFMC Construction, in April 2026 and paid a…read more$420 deposit, but the experience has been marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and an overall failure to manage the project professionally. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. From the beginning, I have had to chase updates, make repeated phone calls, and try to figure out who was responsible for my project. I do not expect every construction project to be perfect, but I do expect basic communication, follow-through, and accountability. My project had a tentative start date of May 18, 2026. The permit application was submitted on May 22, 2026. I later contacted Madera County myself and confirmed that Building Division approved the plans on May 27, 2026, while Planning and Fire reviews were still pending. My issue is not that permits were pending. My issue is that Patio Kings and RFMC were not proactively communicating this information to me. On June 19, 2026, I was told someone would contact me. I expected a follow-up call on June 22, 2026. No one called. June 23, 2026 came and went with no communication. Since then, I have continued calling and emailing with little to no meaningful response. Calling RFMC's main office has also been frustrating. I get routed through multiple phone options, but no one answers or returns my calls. Patio Kings has been nowhere to be found, and no one from RFMC has reached out to take ownership or resolve the situation. As a customer, I expect basic professionalism. If a project is delayed, explain why. If permits are pending, provide updates. If someone says they will call, they should call. After this happened, I looked at recent Yelp and Google reviews and saw other customers describing similar concerns with communication and follow-through. I can only speak to my own experience, but unfortunately, my situation matches those concerns. At this point, I have lost confidence in RFMC Construction's ability to manage my project professionally. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Patio Kings or RFMC Construction. Yelp does not allow a zero-star review. If it did, that is what I would leave. If you choose to hire them, document everything, keep every email and text message, track your permit status yourself, and be prepared to follow up repeatedly.
