With many other appetizer options. The salad bar was enough to create a basic salad. They kept the items on the bar well stocked and fresh. Despite the busy dinner rush, every staff member was working hard with a smile on their face. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and happy to answer questions and accommodate requests. I also had the chance to meet JD, the manager, and he was incredibly friendly and professional. I give Pantera's 5 stars in every category. Growing up in StLouis, Panteras had location all over St Louis Metro, including St Charles County. Thankfully, the O'Fallon location has survived..and it continues the same tradition it's always been known for..fresh crust, quality ingredients, and great price for their pizza. I did delivery by DoorDash, and my medium, original thick crust with pepperoni and pork sausage was delivered hot, satisfying even the picky eaters. I ordered a 6" thin crust with chicken with a drink and salad bar. The lettuce at the salad bar looked pretty fresh. I enjoyed the miniature carrots and sliced cucumbers. I think my pizza was undercooked because each slice was wimpy and not crisp like you would normally expect with thin crust pizzas. This location seems dated. We received friendly service. Popular and Classic! My mom loves panteras so when I saw this one after my massage i knew i needed to try. Folks had been coming in and out since they opened. The place has lots of seating, a small game room and salad bar for dine in This location is one of the best around. The ladies taking our order were very helpful and sweet. For less than $10, you have access to a plethora of pizza, salad, and soda (from 11:30-1 on weekdays). The staff was extremely efficient in keeping everything full and clean. I started at the salad bar, which offered most basic salad toppings, including different veggies, hard boiled egg, etc., as well as several dressing options, and even cottage cheese. They give you a glove to use when using the salad bar, which I appreciated. Moving onto pizza--I loved it! It was a thicker doughy consistency, with some crunch at the crust. This place has been around for quite some time and it's always hustling with people. The original crust is a must try. The flavor is amazing and they load up the toppings. We. Our first time visiting Pantera's and we will definitely be back. Called ahead because we had a large party coming to celebrate our Twins birthday. Staff assured us that there would be space. Once there we checked in and they remembered the phone call and were very excited to accommodate us. They gave us extra plates and napkins to start off, We ordered 3 pizzas and chicken wings. The pizza was all amazing with fresh toppings and the wings were meaty and delicious! The staff stopped by several times to clean off our tables and check in. They even allowed us to produce a birthday cake for the kids and offered assistance should we need it. Recently I stopped in for the lunch buffet. $10 with a drink, salad bar, all you can eat pizza and dessert pizzas. I really enjoyed it and thought it was worth the $. My fave things were the variety of pizza options and the dessert pizzas. Many options and flavors to choose from. So good! I didn't love that almost all the pizzas on the buffet were thin crust and I prefer Pantera's specifically for their thicker/new york style crust. Also, they could benefit from labeling the pizzas, I could not really tell what all of them were... Even with that known, I'd go back for this buffet again. I've loved this pizza since I was a kid. Always hot and delicious, it's my favorite pizza spot. Still need to try the Hunk but a pepperoni on original crust is my go-to. Since this was my first time, I don't know if this is standard or if i just need to ask for light sauce next time, but the important part is that there WILL BE a next time. I'm very eager to try all three types of crust as well as some of the sides. Toasted raviolis, garlic cheese bread, wings, fried mushrooms, onion rings, and cheese sticks, etc. Pantera's serves up all of my favorite apps as well and I can't wait to come back. Bottom line... Pantera's has a ton of 5 stars for good reason. The flavor was great! However it was so greasy that the crust was absolutely soggy with grease I think you need to roll out the dough and let it dry out. That would give the dough a more crusty bite. I've never seen a cardboard so full of grease in my life! Growing up in melrose park, I've experienced great pizza. This is definitely the closest pizza I've had in St. Louis. The service is always friendly and the food is just like you remember from when you were a kid... or at least a much younger adult. It's pretty good! My wife and I decided to order "The Hunk" one visit and we've never gone back to anything else. Highly recommended. Sure, the restaurant is a little bit like stepping into a time capsule, but I will say that the dining area does seem clean, just dated. I can't eat the decorations, so I don't really care. Speaking of the dining area, avoid sitting anywhere near the door during the winter -- you'll be hit with an arctic blast every time someone enters or leaves! A new owner took over what seems like a couple of years ago, and I was a little worried that they would "improve" it right into the ground. Fortunately, they seem to get it -- and actually care. Very few customer-facing elements have changed except the prices (like nearly every other restaurant). So kudos to them for not fixing what wasn't broken. Pantera's has unfortunately become a bit of a victim of its own success. Two out of the last three times we've visited, we've left after being informed that the kitchen is running more than an hour behind. And seating is often difficult to come by during the dinner rush. This is probably a a cyclical issue, as it might become a case of "nobody goes there anymore because it's so crowded." But in the meantime, I'm happy to see this restaurant so deservedly successful. It's just no fun having to walk out hungry because they're so busy. read more
