It's easy to say every customer who wrote a bad review was a difficult customer, or yelp wants you to advertise so they post BAD REVIEWS but just read the reviews! Something is definitely wrong here! Horrible experience, I met with and spoke with Mathew Williams of Panther as I was interested in purchasing solar and fixing my roof. Mathew came to my house and promised to send a quote the following day. Five phone calls two weeks later he texted me the quote. Mathew was unreliable with regard to time, always had an excuses why he didn't return my call or keep his word. The best excuse was "check your spam I sent it " he didn't even have my email!! I was constantly chasing this guy to give him my business ! Thinking Panther would protect their brand, I called and asked to speak with a manager , TWICE I was told the manager would call you back, I'm still waiting. Why not protect your brand and call the customer back? On observing the way your company responds to reviews, I've yet to see one where Panther replied " sorry you feel that way, stop by the office or call me let's talk, I want o make this right". Being a homeowner means you have to deal with nature trying to destroy your house on a constant basis. We had a leaky roof due to damage from what looked to be an animal that chewed through the edge of the roof shingles and the plywood underneath. I called around to a few contractors for estimates and got a recommendation for Panther. I have to say that the initial contact was not the best experience because they didn't get back to us for a few weeks and we had to call back a few times. Finally, an appointment was set up with Jeff, who came over to inspect the damage and to get an estimate. He was honest and said the repair job would have been a small job and we did need other work done. We negotiated a fair price to replace the siding, gutters and trim which would include the roof repair work. We looked at material samples and signed a deal. Scheduling the work also took some time over a few weeks due to a combination of crew availability, weather and materials, not to mention during a pandemic. But finally the trucks started rolling, material was delivered in the morning and the siding crew showed up at midday and completed the siding phase the next day. The siding looked pretty good and the house looked pretty good for its age. A few days later, the rain gutter crew showed up and got the job done in 1/2 a day. They also made additional recommendations to put in additional downspouts to adequately drain the water, which the original gutters didn't have, which impressed me. Finally, the roof repair crew came and did the repair in a couple of hours. Overall, I am really satisfied with the work and the service by all the crews. They were professional, worked quickly and cleaned up the job site very nicely. I would highly recommend them for work to friends and family. read more

I already looked at those fake reviews removed by Yelp for being fake! I understand the people who installed the roof and put large holes in it were subcontracted by Panther, but we paid you the $70+k so it was not fixed free of charge and it was caused by workers you hired so it was your responsibility to fix. Ever hear that saying about putting lipstick on a pig, it perfectly describes Panther, although the word half-assed sums this company up pretty well also. I had my kitchen, bathroom, great room, roofing and siding done by this company a few years ago in 2015 and it slowly but surely all the half-assed work that was done on my house is coming to light. There were a few things that happened when they were here that I managed to catch. Like when they delivered the wrong cabinets and insisted that those were the ones I picked out. Yes, it was the fault of the cabinet supplier but the project manager insisted that those were our cabinets, and later, that it was close enough to what we picked out, probably to get them installed right away so they could move onto their next half-assed project faster. I'm pretty sure that they tried to use supplies left over from another project also, because he kept trying to sell on some ugly tile flooring that he just happened to have. None of the trim was ever painted and the drywall job was amateurish. The walls are lumpy. Luckily I had caught the workers putting up the drywall, there was no insulation put up behind it. The reason was that because the insulation I supplied from another leftover project had run out. The water in the shower wouldn't turn on and they had completed work the day before, there was never any walk through. So when I called to ask if they could fix it, they refused to take ownership. Eventually someone came out to fix it but it should have never been an issue to begin with. Fast forward a few years and I'm replacing the floors in the great room that Panther installed. I specifically stated during our initial appointment that the concrete subfloor was uneven and it had to be leveled with new concrete, which they said would be included in the price of the estimate. Well, they leveled the floor alright, with cardboard boxes! My husband had to rent equipment and buy supplies to fix something we had already paid for. The grout in the bathroom and kitchen floor was diluted so thin, it started to crack and will probably need to be redone. And I'm pretty sure there's no insulation in the outside wall of the bathroom because it's always freezing in there. So why am I writing this review now? Well, there's a plumber in my kitchen, that had been completely gutted when Panther was here, right now fixing a leak because there was a pipe that was never saudered in place. HALF-ASSED! Who knows what other half-assery lies behind these poorly spackled wall. Last but not least, I'm pretty sure their workers didn't have papers. I speak their language, I heard them talking. Now that in itself doesn't bother me, but I'm sure they're paid shit wages. Panther is money hungry and you will end up paying for it later. read more

Panther recently completed the remodeling my bathroom, and I am extremely pleased the outcome. The work was completed within the contracted timeframe and at the agreed upon price. All aspects of the remodeling were carried out in a professional manner. Each day, all tools, etc, were put away and all trash was disposed of in a proper manner. I was kept abreast of any issues, and my input was respected. The finished bathroom looks camera-ready, and I would consider Panther for any future projects, I believe this is the third job Panther worked on for me, and I have never been disappointed. read more

DO NOT use this company. I contracted with Glenn on 6/17/21 for a siding job to be done "between 7/11/21 and 9/11/21" according to the contract. He gave us a contract simply signed "Glenn", and he refused to divulge his surname. (Red Flag #1 I suppose). We picked out the Gentek style and color and gave him a $1,000 deposit. I get a call in early July confirming my selection, as I was told they're placing the order. 6 weeks then goes by and I hear nothing. Then I call Glenn and he says "yeah Gentek has all the primary selections on back order..." Had I never called him, I would have never received this information. He then advises me that he will come to my house and show alternate colors and textures. I'm away for 3 days with work, and Glenn shows up at my house in front of my wife and 2 daughters wearing flip flops and short 70's shorts, proclaiming "take a look at these and get back to me....I'm off to Montauk for the week." My wife tells him we're going on vacation as well, and he says to her "you got your bikini ready?" Extremely inappropriate behavior with women, and he makes a habit of telling intimate details of his family life, which no one can possibly care less about. When I told Glenn we simply did not want to continue since he could not provide the product we wanted, and that we'd like our $1,000 refunded, he began screaming at me on my phone, which I recorded "You're being a dick....I don't know what you have going on in your life....I'm not trying to steal your $1,000!!!!...You're telling me you need $1,000 that bad?" "It's not my fault they discontinued your choice!!!" (Discontinued??? I thought it was on back order) That was an ironic question considering he had my $1,000 for 3 months, and I got nothing in return for it. He had told me on 9/10 that the check was being placed in the mail by "the girl" in his office as he was speaking to me, and he continued to allege such the whole next week. I finally received the check on 9/18, and it was dated 9/15, not 9/10 as Glenn had guaranteed me the week prior. Glenn is dishonest, verbally abusive, and he makes women feel very uncomfortable, particularly if he is in their home with no man to supervise him. His company did my roof in 2020, and they did a very good job, albeit at a very high comparable price. That's why I called them back. We had minimal interaction with him in 2020, as Covid was raging on Long Island and his roofing crew had their supplies and their act together. Never again though. Just like many of the other reviews, we first met the salesmen from Panther in Ace. Asked him to come by for an estimate. Salesmen no showed and ended up rescheduling three times. Once he finally showed he looked at the front and the side of the house for 3 minutes and threw out a number of $20,000. No measuring. No speaking with me. I said no thanks. We ended up not getting our siding done. So when Panther called back this spring and told us they "got an extra shipment of siding and had a sale going on", we thought we would give them a second chance. Salesmen told me he would send a different contractor out for the estimate, since I told him about our experience the year before. Supposed to come Monday morning, Salesmen calls to reschedule for later that afternoon and to make sure my wife was going to be home. As like some other reviewers said, that's none of your business! No one showed later that afternoon or night. Waited around for hours. These reviews are dead on. Do not use Panther. Any company that has been around for years and has reputable work does not need to call potential clients and ASK for work, nor do they need to advertise in person in Ace. Stephen Liotta from (@panther_siding_and_windows) from was hired by my mother to replace her concrete driveway with blacktop, redo her brick stairwell more evenly with new Armor Tec by Cambridge bricks, and replace the poorly installed pvc railings with new pvc railings. *After signing the contract, Stephen was extremely difficult to get in touch with. He answered only the first time I and my mother called from our individual cell phones ( before saving our numbers I presume). *Answers that he'd given before the contract was signed , concerning the work were misinformed. *Damage that was done during the demo, which Mr. Liotta assured would be fixed have been left undone. -the workers damaged the siding on the house & garage, and destroyed plants that were gifted to my mother from her grand children. They never mentioned the plants would be in the way nor asked if she would like them moved. Dennis, I would hope that you would fix the errors your company made for free. As a follow up- When we were finally at our wits end and were no longer wanting to deal with a certain employer, we then and only then, saw a different company. We FINALLY were dealing with individuals that seem to be confident and capable. Sadly, we were at the end of our project. Dealing with Glen, Jesse, Ron Sr. showed us what we missed out on for most of our project. After heeding your advice and reading those favorable reviews it simply confirmed our findings; those specific individuals were also mentioned. We truly feel that we were a test run for someone trying to branch out on his own as project manger and it constantly fell short--It constantly fell on us. We never felt comfortable that these individuals were competent. We always had an issue. We felt that we had to fight to get help. Fight to get the work done correctly. So, please try to understand that when spending that amount of money and choosing a "well established family owned company" we had higher expectations. And if you'd like to discuss this further, we can, if not I I'll leave you with this. If the proper people are representing you and your company, we would recommend. When the Panther rep arrived I was just finishing up on an estimate from another contractor. While the other contractor was preparing to leave the Panther rep stopped him and asked who the home owner was, I identified myself. My wife and I decided to update the look of our home so we started shopping around for a reputable siding company, we noticed that a family in our neighborhood recently updated their home and we liked the way the look came out and decided to contact the same company. Panther sent over Mike one of their sales associate to meet with us and discuss our wants and needs. He took a look around the house and we walked it together to clarify exactly what we wanted. He made some notes and we began to discuss pricing. During the contract write up I explicitly clarified exactly where I wanted siding and were I wanted ledge stone and mike wrote all of this down on our contract. He did his math and gave us a price, I asked for some time to think this over but he repeatedly said "this is a one time price, you won't find a better price and when I leave this price leaves" so felling a little pressured we took the bait and signed a contract. Two weeks goes by and mike finally returns with samples of ledge stones for us to choose to get our order in. We make a decision and another week goes by with no call from panther, we decided to call and when we spoke to the manager Ronnie he tells us Mike did not send over our order and that they are still waiting for us to choose a ledge stone color to proceed. We explain to Ronnie that Mike was here last week and we made our selection, we even repeated our selection over the phone. Another week goes by and we hear nothing, we decided to call Panther and they say our siding is on back order. Finally we get a call saying our siding came in and they will reach back out to us to schedule a start date, great right; WRONG. Ronnie calls back with Mike tells my wife that the siding sqft order was off. Mike said they sent a measure tech to our home to remeasure and his measurements were not what mike put in the order for. Why would you send someone to verify after you place the order, that doesn't make any sense on top of that you sent someone to my home without notifying the home owner; very unprofessional. Anyways I ask them if they can clarify what is missing or how much sqft is missing, they told me it "doesn't matter what matters is that our job needs to start from scratch and a new contract needs to be written up" then they tell us they that they need to add 5k to the cost, you want to add 5k but still cannot tell me how much I'm short. This all seemed fishy to me, in the end I asked for my refund and will not deal with this company every again. I wish I read some reviews on them before inviting them to my home to do business. There's multiple reviews where they "miscalculated" the sqft. Very unprofessional all round read more

I have dealt with Panther about 4 or 5 times over several years and have been pleased with the jobs they have done. Most recently my shower doors were broken on Labor Day weekend. Dave came about an hour after I called. Tommy and Ruben came soon after, took measurements, went to the store and came back with beautiful replacement doors. They installed them and took away all the broken glass and frames. This was the Saturday before Labor Day. They are not cheap but not outrageous either. You get what you pay for. We just had new siding installed, and the Panther crew was excellent from start to finish. We had four bids. Panther's was not the lowest, but we had good experience when they replaced our roof a few years ago, so they had a good record with us. Glenn (? not sure of his name) went over the bid clearly and completely. Everything we agreed to was in the contract. The work crew, led by Gus, arrived promptly the first morning---actually a bit earlier than expected, not that there's anything wrong with that. It was a big crew--five guys--and they worked hard every day. The job was finished in two and a half days (three counting the installation of gutters and leaders). They knew exactly what they were doing. Gus explained everything that was going on, and answered all our questions. So they came on time, and finished on time. Would never use Panther again. They wrote up on the contract to replace old roof with a new roof but when they got here they put the new roof on top of the old roof. When i asked them how the wood looked under the old roof they said fine! How can you see the wood without taking up the old roof! So i had to babysit them to get what they said they would do. I guess they saw a female and thought they could get one over. This work was done over the past summer and I just recently received a phone call from them asking if i would like more work to be done. When I stated to the man what happened when i used them, he became rude and nasty to me. Than he hung up on me! Panther was contracted to finish the construction of my house after the first contractor walked off the job taking an estimated 60,000 dollars from us. Panther took on the uncompleted job as well as assuming responsibility for construction permits without hesitation and started work immediately. They had the task of removing and installing all down stairs windows, replacing all damaged ceilings that the first contractor destroyed. Building a portico and installing new stairs on front of house. After seeing how well panther window and siding worked we also hired them to completely renovate the kitchen and install new set of stairs to second floor as well as install new hardwood flooring throughout the downstairs. Panther windows and siding is a well organized company that uses dedicated workers who are outstanding in what they do. Any problems that arose during renovation were immediately addressed, and fixed. I can't thank them enough for the work that they did on my house. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a good company. They are not the cheapest when it comes to price. But are more than willing to work with you on the price and obtain financing for you if needed. The one thing that I have learned is that you get what you pay for, and after losing over 60,000.00 dollars to my first contractor who walked off the job, I can tell you if it wasn't for Panther I would still have only half a house with no siding. I had a bathroom done less than 2 years ago and the leaks from it made my ceiling collapse in my dining room. When you call, you get the run around from everyone.
