This place is not what it seems. It is located in the heart of Green Mountain Falls and tucked behind other businesses, but don't let that full you. Let me begin by saying the customer service is phenomenal, our waitress was responsible for the whole room and killed it with a smile on her face. Second, the food is chefs kiss! We got the bison burger with the curley fries and added chili. All of it was gone within 20 min. Lastly we got the bread pudding a la mode and omg soooooo good. The best part, such good pricing. We came here after a camping trip and it was the absolute best. Such amazing service, I had their bloody Mary and their mimosa, and they were both so good. Beautiful location, and probably even better in the summertime. My boyfriend had the huevos rancheros 10/10. And I had their soup of the day with a sandwich, which was catered vegetarian. It's not fancy, plastic chairs and small metal tables, but it has a great vibe. Low key, beautiful willow trees, running water. Refreshing. First The food was good. Next the food was a bit pricey for what you got. And saying that I couldn't understand why the place is so rundown. With those kind of prices, I would think that they would be doing some remodeling even if it's only partial one year at a time. Next time I'm in a wheelchair. We called ahead to see what accommodations could be had for that circumstance. They said to park in the alley and come in through the back. There was no parking in the back. So I had to come in through the front entrance over flag stones interspersed with graveland up a step. Winding my way back to the garden, which is another thing because it a stream was running through it and the babbling brook sounds were great. But to get to my table next to the stream, and it was the only one available, I had to punch through quarter size gravel in a wheelchair. I don't know if they're aware of the ADA laws surrounding an eating establishment but if they read this, I would recommend that they read up on them. But I saved the best for last. The young man acting as a busboy, was kind, compassionate and extremely helpful in getting me back to the entrance of the restaurant. To the owners, I would recommend hanging onto him because. he is an asset worth keeping. read more

Very good food, reasonable price for the area, and in a beautiful and unique setting! With a group of 9 we had to wait about an hour to get in for Sunday brunch, but it worked out fine because the pond near the restaurant is perfect for sitting and relaxing. Service was friendly and quick, and the food itself was great. The best part of the experience was definitely sitting outside in the shade, next to the stream, listening to live music--a truly unique brunch experience! Be aware that they don't take call-aheads, so you should plan on waiting to get in. Also I think they use the back patio under the trees and with the live music on Thurs-Sun, and serve inside and on the front patio during weekdays. read more

We went to the Pantry and I had the cinnamon bun French toast with eggs over easy and their country potatoes!!! Yum yum. The cinnamon bun was the moistest freshest ever and true to their word the bun had been sliced and the French toast was coated in egg sauce. Delicious you didn't even need maple syrup it was melt in your mouth. The country potatoes are sliced thinly and cooked to perfection. The sounds and ambiance are amazing too with live music and the sparkling brook. Cannot recommend this place enough. The coffee is delicious and the service excellent. This little place is tucked back near the lake in Green Mountain Falls. We went very early and it was absolutely beautiful, and quiet. The lake was frozen over as we walked into the small building. It was very cute. The Pantry has been open for 60 years and seems like a town favorite. The inside was very small and cozy filled mostly with what seemed to be local folks aware of what they have to offer. The servers were very sweet and attentive. We ordered coffee and they kept it coming hot and fresh. My husband ordered chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken fried steak boasted that it was black angus. It was just okay-if seemed like it was frozen from elsewhere. The eggs and hash browns were perfection. I love those stringy, crispy hash browns that just crunch in your mouth. The eggs-which were ordered over easy were perfect. I ordered the famed Cinnamon roll French toast. This comes out with a single cinnamon roll cut in half and prepared with the traditional French toast custard and put on the griddle. They then top the beautifully browned delicious bread with cinnamon roll icing. This was where the magic was. Beautifully sweet, browned and deliciously textured-there was nothing that I would even consider changing with this. Absolutely perfect. I will say-the only thing that gave me pause was that the table we chose was right by the bathroom. I didn't notice it when we sat down but it is literally in the dining room and was just a single-person bathroom. This was not appetizing as people went in and out throughout our meal, outside of this, it was cute and the service was great! read more

Literally just left and felt compelled to write immediately. This restaurant has ruined the lovely morning we had. I understand it was the Bronc festival so they probably had a higher volume of guests than usual, but if you cannot handle the volume, it is perfectly acceptable to close off a section of the restaurant, instead of seating every single table. We were seated immediately which was good, and our drinks arrived quickly, although the server did forget 1 drink in a party of 2.... Here comes the bad part. Waited almost an hour for 2 dishes: fish and chips and their pot roast. Both of which were absolutely not worth the wait. We asked for a high chair when we were seated and wasn't bought one until the end of our meal. No refills offered, no explanation of why it was taking so long. When paying, the server took our card, came back 10 minutes later with the bill again and had forgotten she already had our card, so we had to wait another 10 minutes for that to be completed. The whole experience took almost 2 hours. Came here for lunch, left at close to dinner time. The setting is pretty though. read more
