There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

We probably made a mistake when ordering 2 large half and half pizzas as this turned out to be a very pricey pizza dinner (over $80!!) but that's not the restaurant's fault. We'll just be more mindful next time. The pizzas were good and I loved the freshness of the toppings. Unfortunately, I did not love their crust as it was too chewy for my liking. The chicken wings we got was pretty heavily breaded which is also not my favorite way to eat them. We may come back to try their more adventurous offerings.

I had flagged this eatery for a while. It was nice to drop by at long last and do a return visit, too. Mamajoun is roughly one block west of Warden Avenue, on the south side of Ellesmere Road. I had no problem finding a parking spot in the plaza. I backed into a spot practically in front of the main entrance and walked in. I was warmly greeted by Mihran, who owns the eatery with his wife. He was so welcoming and took the time to chat with me. I have had a papajoun wrap in the past, which is a flatbread with ground beef, onions, garlic, and red pepper paste. He let me know that his dough recipe came from his grandfather, which makes the dough so light and malleable. I had traditional Armenian toppings in my wrap, such as tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and pickled turnips. If you are getting your wraps to go, he carefully packages them such that they still remain hot and toasty for thirty minutes. I ended up driving back to Markham and enjoying my wrap in downtown Markham. It was warm and yummy. When I first walked into the eatery, I was looking at bags of mante. I smelled the bag and it automatically made me hungry. He enjoys serving several beef mante in chicken broth, with tomato sauce and yogurt. He let me know that the chicken stock in bottles at the nearby Costco was what he used and they were of high quality. Good to know! I ended up getting some tomato dill soup from Farm Boy and put my mante in them. It was amazing! His instructions to bake them in the oven at 400°F for five to eight minutes and place them in soup is amazing. I asked if folks simply popped mante in their mouths like popcorn. He said that it was a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy them. The pack of zaatar that I picked up was excellent. Mihran said that I could freeze them. When I wanted one, just take one out of the freezer and let it thaw for fifteen minutes. Each zaatar tastes so fresh and yummy. I paid for my items both times with a credit card. This place does not accept American Express. I feel that most businesses don't these days. I thanked him for all his help and taking the time to speak with me. He said that the feeling was mutual, which was nice. Everything that I have eaten at this place has been flavourful and delicious. I'm a fan. Great food. Great owner. No complaints. (201)

I have no idea what I got since they didn't have a menu but I got 3 curries with rice ($6.50?), a…read moresmall paneer curry ($4.50) and a sampler of okra curry ($2??) For the 3 curries I just asked for the woman's 3 favourite curries and I think I got chickpea, soybean and spinach curry. The rice was a short and thick brown rice. The chickpea curry was decent, nothing notable 3/5. Soybean is like Chinese fried gluten and was SPICY. This was the most tasty imo 4/5. Spinach was pretty average and kind of had a frozen spinach flavour to it 3/5. The paneer curry I got had a lot of pea flavour than other places. Paneer is super squeaky and chewy but didn't really absorb the flavour of the curry. I was expecting a more creamy tomato flavour. A bit of a let down since I was craving shahi paneer. 2/5 Okra curry had the signature gooey/slimeiness but not in a gross way. Compared to the other stuff it was mediocre, nothing notable tbh. 3/5 Wish they had a menu but I just got a random mix of stuff and tried this place on a whim. Be aware the food is basically room temp so you'll need to heat it up again (maybe for food safety too). We'll see how I feel tomorrow but so far I'd recommend this place for cheap eats. Giving it a 4/5 solely because of price point and value. I'll update once it compare samosas with samosa king next door too. Update: feeling good today. Also had the samosas. They're not bad for $0.20 each but comparing them to samosa king next door, they're both ok at best. The filling in these samosas is really wet/loose so it's more like a paste. Flavour wise the filing is decent, beware if you can't handle spiciness because these a spicier than other places. The wrapping is thin and chewy and doesn't really reheat well (samosa king ones are thicker crust and reheat well). If I was to compare against other places where they're like $1+ each (like samosa sultan) these are 1/5 but the price to value ratio I'd give it a 3/5. Unlikely I'd come here (or samosa king) specifically for samosas. They both need a chutney or sauce to make them good tbh.

I always go for their samosas, 5 for 1 dollar !!! It doesn't get better than this, always fresh and…read moremostly warm, always delicious. They also have other dishes, pakoras and some sweets. This is a take-out place. Staff is very friendly and efficient.
