Was visiting from out of town and was not a huge fan. Place smelled weird walking in, and the lighting is really weird, super dark in some areas, really bright in others, and back to dim... all in the same room. Salad was huge, mozzarella sticks were okay, Diet Coke was WEIRD tasting, and then the pizza took a half hour to come out AFTER our salad and appetizer. Definitely will not be going back. read more

I can't believe I waited 3 years to try this place! Went and tried their garlic cheese bread, BLT salad and The Monster and Pretty pizzas. This was the first time to have garlic cheese bread on French bread. I loved the difference in texture it brought. It wasn't greasy at all and the dipping marinara sauce was sweet and light. If you come here you SHOULD NOT pass up on their salads. It feeds 4 people sharing and it really is yummy. I've never been a fan of salad dressings but if you are into the sweet vinegar-based dressing you will enjoy it. The pizzas were the way I love them-- thin and crispy but not too hard. The Monster pizza is all meat (pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, bacon and ham). They don't skimp on the protein at all. I preferred the Pretty Pizza (bacon, mushroom, onions, green peppers and tomatoes). I do really appreciate pizzas with veggies! After coming here I don't think I can go back to having IMO's. I really don't like heavy and overly rich pizzas. This place is a must try! read more

My kids and I ate here for the first time today, and we loved it! We did the special which was a salad, breadsticks, and pizza for $27.99. I was very impressed with how amazing everything was. The salad was so so good. I loved all the veggie it had in it and the dressings we got were great as well! The breadsticks were a lot bigger than I was expecting and the had great flavor and I loved how they came with dipping sauce at no extra charge. We did a half sausage half ham and pineapple, and it did not disappoint! I loved the thin crust and how many toppings they put on each half. Usually toppings are scarce, but not here, it was the perfect amount! We left stuffed and we have enough of everything for another meal! Chain pizza might be a little cheaper, but the quality and portions are worth it. I would choose this any day over cardboard pizza. Another plus was the service! Our waitress was so kind and she was very attentive to us the whole time! I couldn't have asked for anything better! My family will be back! We've been wanting to try this for a new local favorite. So we decided to get it for takeout. To thoroughly get to know this place we'll need a few visits. The pizza was good. Toppings were generous, I do however prefer fewer onions, and bacon on pizza should be longer pre-cooked; ours seemed somewhat undercooked. I'm no specialist on sauce but theirs seems somewhat sweet. Additionally, I asked for a hand-tossed, but definitely got a processed crust. However, the crust may have been overly oiled with vegetable oil, as the cooked smell and taste of vegetable oil dominated each slice. The price was ok. I expect specialty pizza to be somewhat expensive. The wait wasn't very long, for mid-day. I will visit again, but will also explore other local establishments. read more

Hubby and I stopped in here for lunch, after an employee at a local business mentioned it was one of their favorite places to grab lunch. I hadn't been in the joint since it was Pasta House? Anyhoooo, I was thoroughly impressed when they had a cider on tap. VERY nice! We ordered a lunch special, the meatball sandwich and a salad, to share. Okay, I know some of you are wondering why would I rate this place a three star when the pizza is so good. First off, I'm not a huge fan of thin crust pizza. Love the generous portions and fresh ingredients, but the hype just didn't do it for me. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious, and the service was great. Very good salad. Pizza is good. Service is fast. Recommend in the fall and Halloween vibes. Has a scary story behind the building. Ask the workers they will tell you about it. Out light kept flickering and swaying back in forth when we went. I have a lot of friends who have creepy experiences from there. Good food, but not the best ever. At Papa Vito's right now and saw they had 2 IPAs I have never had. I asked the waitress what they were like and she didn't know. I suggested that she should be able to describe them and she said 'she would take the loss'. I told her I could go to the bar and ask the bartender and she said there was not one tonight. So I asked for a small taste of the two IPAs and she gave me an unpleasant look. She did get them and I selected one. I am not totally faulting the waitress. I run into this all the time. Restaurants serve craft beer but management does not train the employees on what they are serving. I would suggest if you sell craft beer, at least give the wait staff a card with beer descriptions. Alfredo pizza and cheese bread were excellent as usual. read more

Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and they came back with a large sandwich devoid of any green peppers, had a few onions, on a toasted bun. The cheese was almost non existent and baked into the bread. I have never had a baked bread Philly cheesesteak before, but whatever. The topper was they gave me a bowl of au jus. I totally think they gave me the wrong sandwich. my friend tried explaining it that they serve au jus with every sandwich, but I have never ever had, or heard of, serving au jus with a Philly cheesesteak. I was sooo salty and without dipping the sandwich in it the sandwich itself was very dry. If I hadn't seen the cheese BAKED INTO THE BREAD (yes you read that right) I would have sworn there was no cheese at all . There was no way that was a Philly cheesesteak. We have been here in Illinois since 5 July. We dabbled with Sam's Club pizza (because we know and love it); after a month of living in hotels and eating out...we wanted a night to pretend we were at home and had ordered pizza (yeah strange I know). So we did a Yelp search...and this place came up and had good ratings. We went, they had the "Monster" on special so we got one. A very solid pizza, nice, chocked full of tasty meats. The sauce is good, my wife liked the hint of sweet. I tasted cheese (a slight bit out of balance with all the meat flavors) but it wasn't visually "there". My only off-note (just personal preference) was the thin cracker style crust. I don't like deep dish either- but Sam's has achieved that in wheelhouse spot for me between too much crust and not quite enough. Another factor to consider, we took it back to the hotel (20 minutes with a stop) so it had cooled in the box. That texture change and settling certainly affects the taste and appearance. We will go back, we will have pizza there , hot and fresh before I make a final judgment. The place looks clean from our short visit, the staff is friendly, cute and mid-western. They even have a cute kid with a man-bun; is that still a thing? (...makes me think of that commercial with the guy and the web watcher who has him cut the bun right before the older business guys in suits pass by.) read more

Bottom line: good good, bad customer service We ordered something simple, two salads and a calzone. The restaurant had us use Spoton to do the order, and though it wasn't the easiest ordering interface, we got it done and was given a pickup time of 6:15. I was about fiber minutes behind schedule but got there and was shocked when told that they didn't have my order. The server said she didn't have it in their system and even called the other location, thinking we ordered from the wrong store. It's an odd coincidence that she "found" my order the immediately after I told her it cleared my bank account. So she went back to the kitchen to "check on it" and came back out and said it would still be a few minutes. In the meanwhile, I'm watching people come in and give their names, and get their food and go, presumably at their confirmed order times. Once my food was 20 minutes overdue, I got frustrated and asked to talk with a manager because I was not happy and wanted an explanation. The server said the only manager they had was a kitchen manager (hint: not having a front of house manager just might be part of the problem) and he seemed outright shouted to have to talk with me. I was visibly frustrated, but never called anyone a name, never disrespected anyone, but asked for an explanation because being this far behind while others are getting their orders on time is unacceptable. I was told that the order ready times are merely "estimations". I told him that it felt like my order was simply missed and they had to make it after catching it, but he denied that. I told him again that it was unacceptable and when it was clear that he was growing as frustrated as I was at that point it was obvious that this wasn't going to be resolved so I walked out. But he never did explain how others were getting their orders on time but mine got backed up. It was just two salads and a calzone, after all. I still can't fathom why the manager would walk out she talk with a customer with a scowl and a rude tone of voice from the get go. All I wanted was an apology and an explanation. I never wanted a discount, a coupon, a refund, just an explanation. But bring a paying customer apparently no longer gives me the right to ask why things are wrong or express my dissatisfaction. Fine. But it gives me the right to business Elsewhere; and that's just what I'll do. And I recommend you do too. I mean the food is good, once you get it. But don't expect to be treated like a paying customer should. I sure didn't. read more

I could eat Rick's Preferred Wings every day, especially with the sweet chili sauce for dipping. I would normally think of any salad called a "Garden Salad" would be basic and bland. Holy Cannoli this food is amazing!! We tried a few things and they were all above all expectations. The pizza was perfect the salad was big enough to share with 4 people. We also tried the mozzarella sticks and the wings. They bake the wings and then flash fried. Loved them!! My daughter had the pizza rolls. Not your Totinos pizza rolls for sure. The waiter was beyond a great server. Loved dinner. The ONLY thing I can suggest is that the hostess sitting people could have been a little more pleasant. She took us to a booth plopped the menus and silverware down and walked off. No "is this okay" or "enjoy your meal", nothing. The booth was not comfortable and we had to ask the waiter to move to a table which he accommodated. We will definitely return for the food. I hope the hostess becomes a bit nicer. That is the first person your customers see. read more
