This place is located in Deep Ellum. If you aren't familiar with the area it can get a little confusing. So make sure to give yourself extra time to arrive for your reservation. They have valet parking but there is a possibility of street parking if you do choose to. Seeing the security, red ropes and red carpet my expectation was high. Hostess was nice. AC was feeling amazing on a hot day in Texas as you walk in. We were seated in the smaller lounge area that is sometimes used as the after hours or something to that affect area. It had its own bar which was nice as our waitress didn't have far to go to get our drinks. Well on this day, the AC did not work in that area. When they called to confirm the reservation earlier that day, it would have been nice if they had mentioned this piece of info. They had the industrial cooling fans that they had to add ice to very often. It eventually cooled off. Our waitress was hot and cold with her attitude towards us. One minute she was not nice and the next she was extra friendly with others at our table. She didn't keep the water glasses filled. She was annoyed when we asked questions. We noticed staff kept fussing over empty tables in the room with us. That table had later reservations than ours. As we were leaving they started to arrive. The beef and lamb meatballs were delicious and definitely can be a meal on their own. The calamari was also decent. If you ask for extra sauce they will charge $5 for a small cup of the Alfredo sauce for your pasta. Going in as a group we knew the bill would be on one check. However when our waitress offered the option pay indivdually, we jumped at the option. After she took everyone's payment she comes back to state that she wasn't supposed to do that and the checks will be higher because she didn't add the gratuity to the check. I have tried Paparazzi Chophouse for brunch and HAPPY Hour. I had great experiences both times. Sunday Funday versus Friday night HAPPY Hour! I must admit my favorite visit was during HAPPY HOUR. I love the food and drink specials! The bartender Ricardo is AMAZING! He is polite, polished and professional. He also makes the best damn drinks! The BareNaked Lady cocktail with the cotton candy is so fun. I am obsessed with the hourglass figure shaped glass. I love this glass so much I ordered my other cocktail the El Dorado in it. I'll start with saying this was a one and done visit. We had a table of 10, our orders came out at different times both for food and drinks and when they did, some were wrong. My friend's order took 2 hours to come, that's crazy! You'd think they would at least comp her meal at that point but no. Also, this is the first place in the world I've been to that adds $3 when you order a dirty martini, wild..and by the way good service is mentioning by the way we charge extra for dirty martinis. What a great experience! Located in Deep Ellum! We pulled up and valet was there to greet us upon arrival. We were a few minutes late but thankfully our party of 5 was able to still be seated. We were seated at a half moon table that was very comfortable for my party size. We were quickly greeted by our server for the evening and her copilot. My food braised beef short rib hash was good.. but not a lot for the price of 32 dollars. The lobster Benedict for 34 was good and had more than enough food, to feed 2 people. There's no parking, so you can either uber, valet or park by the biscuit bar for a fee. 20% gratuity will be added to all checks no matter your party size. Overall it was nice. I gave it 4 stars because the food tastes just like every other place.. and I was hoping for a more surprising experience based on prices and social media. I didn't valet but there was no options to park on the street across from biscuit bar was $23 for the parking lot which I opted not and then the parking garage was $7 for 1 hour and 2 hours $14. Once arriving to the restaurant it was nice. FYI they have a 15 min grace period for reservations I was almost at that grace period but we made it there just in time. I had the strawberry basil daiquiri it was good not strong but it was sweet and it was a little overpriced. The food omg I was totally taken back! Delicious! Everything was flavorful, I'm from N.O and you know we like flavor baby! These other restaurants in Dallas can take a page out of your book! Paparazzi was definitely visually appealing, but the taste of the food in my opinion fell short. When you walk inside the lighting is dark with tons of beautiful floral accents and it definitely gives upscale. We went on a Friday night and there was a dj playing r&b/ hip hop music. The servers were so attentive and pleasant! Our glasses were always full and everything we needed we got quickly. I ordered the crab cakes.... but there was only 1 crab cake and it was flat. Not sure what kind of crab meat was used, but it was not the jumbo lump crab cake I'm used to getting. It appeared to be pan fried in butter and flattened with a spatula. It was very greasy and filling forward which was disappointing since the crab cake was the most expensive thing we ordered. The Caesar salad was delicious! The fried green tomatoes were just ok as they were very hard to eat. If you bite it, the tomato slides right out of the breading, if you left it on the plate and used your fork to cut a piece of the tomato you have use all your might! I didn't like how tough the tomatoes were. If I where to ever return I would stick to drinks and ceasar salad.I wasn't really impressed. read more
