Best Margaritas ever and the Del Mar is fantastic. The people that say the fajitas are bad here must have no taste buds.

I love the hard taco's at Pappasito's so yummy, remind me of Taco Bell. I love Happy Hour also, my favorite bartender is Ferdinand. He will usually add extra Texas Whiskey to my Whiskey and Coke. Next time you go in for Happy Hour, look for Ferdinand - he usually has an orange sports coat on. read more

Went there on a Tuesday figuring it was a good time considering it wouldn't be really busy. Right, wasn't busy but service was just wrong. Got seated and waited +15 just to get chips and salsa. Chips were thin and tasted old and the salsa just wasn't fresh. No water or silverware at this point. After 10 minutes more a server comes to us and offers us drinks, I decided to try the wave margarita, my brother ordered a Strawberry lemonade (which server offered) and my friend just a house frozen one. Received drinks after 15 minutes more. They were decent. We felt ignored by our server since we needed silverware and water and just got none. Finally saw the hostess who kindly helped and she got me plates and waters. Wished I tipped her!!! I stopped seeing her when I was about to leave. Ordered beef and chicken fajitas, they were just ok. It was enough food for 3 since we had "Chile con Queso" before (which also arrived 20 minutes late to the table). Overall mediocre service, and just not amazing food. Not coming back read more

Had dinner there last night, it was wonderful as usual. We live in Mississippi now, my home state, which means I dream of Pappasito's much of the time. It's always the first place I want to go. The food and service is always great and consistent, at whichever location you visit, and it's clean. Prices are pretty high compared to other popular Tex-Mex restaurants. But I love it. The salsa can't be matched. It's all good! read more

I have been a fan of the Pappasito's south on 45 near Keykendahl since I moved to the area over 30 years ago. Although I did go often when I did I always ordered the beef fajita's as they were better than any I had ever had. When the new one near The Woodlands opened I was naturally very excited but after my 3rd visit today for lunch I feel the need to make a comment. The beef fajita's, and really other items, here are so salty tasting as to almost not be eatable. I will admit that my tastes are more low salt than the average person but my friend today concurred it was pretty bad. This was not one off day I am afraid since this is the 3rd time. Sadly, I will no longer order this item here. I won't give up on them but they are no longer high on my list of best Tex-mex. Back to Guadalajara's should I be in the mood for fajita's. read more

I usually enjoy eating at Pappasito's restaurants but the experience I encountered at this specific location was very different. We arrived early for our reservation and were told it will not be available until the scheduled time. This is understandable considering we had a party of 30. Well our reservation time came and then we were told there is a 30 minute grace period and our tables were not ready. Well the 30 minute grace period came and then we were told our tables would be ready soon. We did not get seated until about an hour after our reservation and well after the grace period. We noticed large parties with no reservations arriving after us and being seated before us. We know this due to us being right beside the host stand. The whole experience was very frustrating because there should have been better planning by the floor managers. As a way of compensating us for our long wait we were provided free queso and guacamole. Well the avocados were not ripped and resulted in some pretty rough guacamole. I will give praise to the waiters because they did try their best to serve 30 hangry people. read more

Way over priced. The tables were too close together. The food was at best average. It made for a loud, crammed experience with food that was no where near worth the price. I only went because some one gave me a gift card. Won't be back. read more

We usually love the restaurants of the Pappas chain but this new Cantina near the Woodlands was a bit of a disappointment, maybe because it is still going through new opening pains. First, it was way too noisy!. We don't mind the noise of happy diners but when one can't hear the waitress and she couldn't hear us, that was a problem. It got better as it got later and the place started to empty. Add to that Mariachi music! The restaurant is very attractive and well done, the food is always good and the staff well trained but we are older and couldn't converse with our friends. It has also gotten more expensive, especially the drinks. We'll go back but probably just for lunch or when it's cooler and we can sit outside. I couldn't eat the Cerviche, too many Jalepenos with seeds for me but that's just my personal taste, the rest was great. read more

Big disappointment and after waiting years for this store to open. The outdoor area is huge but no smoking area like the north Houston store has. Woodlands PC police of course there. The queso with beef gave us huge indigestion due to cheap cheese. The salsa is terrible and loaded with onions. Service was good as were the fajitas but very expensive. The food is super salty. There are no other flavors than salt. The tables are super small, the food barely fits on the table. The restaurant is super loud and you can barely hear what the wait staff is asking you. I also got every sick eating their food, since they are a chain restaurant I am very surprised I got sick. Their chicken fajitas were also very dry they fell apart while I was chewing and I could not eat it without drinking water at the same time. read more

The Worst Mexican experience ever! Not sure where to start. Didn't want to actually give this place a star but couldn't review without at least one. Let's begin with the hygiene. As I waited for my dinner at my table in amongst the dirty tables and floor that only my dog would enjoy to vacuum, I watched as a dish guy put the dirty dishes, glasses and cutlery into his bucket then wet his cloth in the same water to clean the tables. Fabulous! Peoples germs are on that stuff and now they are all over the table for the next customer. The table was at no time cleaned with a disinfectant spray of any kind. When the table side guacamole trolley crashed into a table of more dirty dishes and lost some of its bowls on the dirty floor. The waiter picked them up placed them on the top of the trolley then proceeded to make our guacamole with them on his tray. We asked for new bowls and he said of course but hey, why was stuff that had been on a unclean floor next to my food that he was preparing anyway! After waiting 30mins for 1 beer it came and then came the most unappetizing food experience. Enchiladas are not pretty at the best of times but this one was a pizza which contained more cheese than any person should eat in a life time and I do like cheese. Seriously there is so much more to say. But I will never eat here again. I have eaten many times at this chain but was beyond disappointed with this location. A final note to management, the restaurant was not busy during my visit and had ample staff. Not sure why we experienced slow service and poor hygiene. Something to investigate. read more

This Pappasitos location is a disappointment. We ordered a large chicken fajita ($34) for 2 adults and 1 toddler with flour and corn tortillas. We had to wait to eat because it took them 5 extra minutes to bring the corn tortillas. They gave us one very small portion of guac and pico. When I asked for a little extra pico they added 0.95 to our bill. The waiter started cleaning the table when I was still eating which made me very uncomfortable. This place is over priced for the food and service. Will not return. read more

I've been a couple of times and my experiences were consistent. It was very crowded each time I went, even off hours. The food is very good. Waitstaff is decent but several times we ran out of drinks and had to look around for someone to get refills. My biggest complaint is that it is very noisy inside. It's a festive atmosphere but you have to yell for your dining companions to hear you. If you are looking for a quiet dinner and conversation you might want to choose somewhere else. read more

Unfortunately, we've only been to this new location three times. I had been excitedly awaiting this opening for such a long time! We used to live in Tomball and moved to Montgomery almost a year ago, and used to visit the Willowbrook location every couple of weeks. The first time we arrived at the new location we were told we could not sit outside...why do you have 2 huge patios and not allow customers to eat outside, like they can in every other location! We immediately left, it was a beautiful day outside and we prefer to enjoy those days enjoying our meal outside. Upon deciding we would give the location another try, I called ahead to confirm we could eat outside. We arrive and get seated within 5 minutes and are greeted by our smiling waitress. We promptly ordered drinks, food, and enjoyed! Good service, good food, great atmosphere! The last time I arrived, on Saturday the 10th, as I said before I used to frequent the other location and knew about the brunch with mimosas and bloody mary's. When we arrived, we were quickly seated outside and ordered our drinks. Our waitress looked confused as she mentioned she didn't think they had mimosas. She comes back out with the other drinks and says they do not have that brunch menu/ special. Our group promptly leaves. How can you be part of a chain and not have the same type of service/ menu items the other locations have??? For awhile, they didn't even have a lunch menu. Of course, all you can do is show up and hope things are running as usual. At this point, I'm quite tired of the "we don't do this, you can't eat there, we don't have that", I just go somewhere else. read more

I don't get it. All you guys that rate this place down, please send me a list of the GOOD Tex-Mex places that you like better. I have eaten in MOST of the Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in Texas (OK, maybe not most, but hundreds), and no place has consistently better food than Pappasito's. I admit that I don't care if a restaurant is loud, or whether they have live music. I don't care much whether there is a view, or an extensive wine list. I do care if the food is consistently good, and it's nice if the order is correct and timely. It normally is, and only very rarely have I had a minor problem (once). So, if you tell me you've had better (fill-in-the-blank) that you got at Pappasito's, I may call BS. Yes, the food may taste salty if you are a midwesterner who is used to eating boiled meat and boiled corn and boiled cabbage without salt, and it may taste spicy if you are a Californian who cringes at the least hint of pepper or chiles, but remember: this is Tex-Mex at it's finest. If you don't like Tex-Mex, go to a different restaurant. If you DO like Tex-Mex, you will love it. I have never tried any dish that wasn't fantastic. My only nitpick is that they have just changed the original, awesome, cilantro salsa for some new chipotle version which I don't like as well. I hope it was just a temporary experiment. read more

I decided to bring my family for dinner for Taco Tuesday last night and we had an amazing experience. I usually don't do reviews but our experience was so great I had to. Our wait was 20-25 mins which actually ended up being 10-15 mins. We were served chips & salsa, queso, and drinks while we waited. The drinks came out within 5-8 minutes. When we sat to order our dinner, the waitress came right over to take our order. Our food was served 15 minutes later by a server. Our waitress came right over to see if our order was to our liking. She was on time for refills and cleared our table frequently. She was very polite & professional. While leaving, we were told "thank you for coming" or some phrase of that sort by 4 different people. The customer service at The Woodlands location is OUTSTANDING!! My family is "Pappas" chain lovers and so glad we can stay close to home in The Woodlands to enjoy Mexican & seafood!!
