Paprika is an Indian restaurant located in a converted pub. As such it is quite a large venue with a bar and a restaurant section.
The place is popular with families and couples alike. It's not an intimate quiet place to dine.
The menu is standard Indian restaurant fare, but its is 100% authentic compared to balti or curry houses. As such it tastes a lot better and tastes freshly made.
Portions are good sized and the waiters helpful. Unfortunately they don't have real ale and the lager tastes weak there, may be they should improve the bar side of the business..
Generally I would say it is fair value for the food you get. Two things do annoy me about the place:
1. Being hot spicy food, you might want to drink water with your meal as well as beer or soda. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not provide tap water, so you will have to buy bottled water. This is a straightforward money making thing in my mind.
2. They automatically add a 10% service charge, I don't mind this, but I wisj they would write this some obvious on the menu instead of on small letters on the back, which is a bit crafty. read more
