After finally arriving in Rio de Janeiro and checking into our hotel, we went for a walk to find some food. We quickly found Parada de Copa a few blocks away. They had several meats displayed in cases, and the vibe looked fantastic.
We ordered the Crackling (chicharrones), the Ham, Cheese, and Pineapple Sandwich with Potato Salad, and the Filet Mignon Sandwich with Fries. When the food arrived, we realized we ordered too much. Each sandwich was packed with freshly made meats, and the portions were huge. Both sandwiches were delicious. Regarding the price for all of the food, it was incredibly affordable.
Regarding the menus, they are in Portuguese, which we saw as a good sign. We used our Google translator and had zero issues. In addition, our server was awesome, and he made his best attempt to speak a little English. If you find yourself in Rio, I would definitely give Parada de Copa a try. read more
