If I could give 0 I would. This place was a nightmare. They had roaches and bedbugs. We saw them on the sheets so I removed the mattress cover and saw a blood soaked bed. Had to have been there for months. I was sick, disgusted and my heart was racing thinking about sleeping on that bed. The guy at the front desk offered another room but who in there right mind would stay somewhere and risk taking any of that home. Said he would give some money back and while moving my stuff out we saw him on the phone with the manager. Then they said it had to be inspected before giving money back. We both ended up calling the cops. They went to the room with us to get a better video and so they could see what the fuss was about. Left and came back the next day. That night we slept in the car and first thing in the morning I was at the laundromat. Washing EVERYTHING and cleaning out the car. Whole body itching. Another guy (young) behind the counter told us we put the blood on the mattress. It was there for months or longer. Mind you, the first few days I straightened up so the cleaning people didn't come in the room. We finally had them come in and that's when we saw the bedbugs. Which means it had to have came from the carts, another room or the laundry room. As he was blaming us the maid that cleaned the room over heard us and said she told him about the mattress a while ago and we didn't do it. He was standing there looking stupid. You would think places no matter how cheap would take pride in a business and be on top of things like this. But nope, some people are ok paying to share a space with bugs that could make your life hell. I'll NEVER go back. It gave me the IIIIKKKK. Should have read the reviews first. DONT STAY HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE. UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE SOMETHING HOME WITH YOU. THIS PLACE IS NOT UP TO CODE. Just pay the extra to be somewhere clean and safe. read more

First of all when I walked in the room was super dirty , couch had stains the bed probably had bed bugs I wouldn't be surprised, there was roaches by the restroom . A bullet hole in the mirror what looked like, chewed up gun on walls and tv and they didn't even offer to change my room ... And they can't even give me a refund ,this place on booking.com has a 9.0 rating , idk how the hell the got that read more

Checked in and left after less than 30 minutes. I felt like bugs were just crawling on me(didn't see any tho) there were hairs under the the sheets red stain on mattress protector. Dust everywhere just felt very unsanitary. Staff was great very hospitable and quick. Room118 read more

Its about 8/9 o'clock and I grab my purse, keys and dash out the door to make a snack run while waiting for ym bf to get off work. Little do I know I am about to get hemmed up by lapd. I am a young college student who works, pays taxes, stays out of trouble and simply wanted some pringles. Soon as I buckle up I get a bright white light in my face with cops demanding my name, age, info, etc. Did I mention I never made it OUT of the motel assigned parking lot? I had to get out of the car and questioned like a true criminal. After my car was searched (with 4/5 people smoking cigarettes staring at me from every level of the motel) I was THEN notfied that this hotel-motel (whatever) has drug trafficing and nightly prostitution busts. I was basically stopped because I could have been a prostitue. I can't express how embarrased I was. I called my bf so upset in tears and literally ready to pack up. We ended up completing our stay by leaving this morning with no plans of EVER returning. The Rooms? They are whatever...kind of stale smelling but tolerable. Oh and those itty-bitty towels. Seriously? I couldnt even fully dry my back with those towels. Older t.vs. Solid mattresses (which I don't mind). Very sorry shower heads. Like really? Ross sells shower heads for what 9 or 10 bucks. Price? Very inexpensive. Keep in mind, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Service? The service was okay. Not great but not bad. Theres a (please forgive me, but big fat woman) at thefront desk who never got up to help me. She strolled from one side of the desk to the other in this rolly office chair. read more

Pros: They let us check in at 5am because our original hotel over booked because of the fires. They even gave us a discount because of how late it was. The staff was friendly. They made a parking spot for us when the lot was full. One of the other couples staying there helped me get out of the narrow parking lot. Beds were large and pretty comfortable. No bed bugs, no cockroaches Cons: I could hear the person in the room above us stomping around like an elephant all night, I mean, from 11pm-10am (paper thin ceilings and walls). The carpets were stained and had burn marks in them, the walls have holes in them. The cleaning crew uses shopping carts instead of cleaning carts (they also use face masks, which looks a bit off). There are people who stay up all hours of the night standing in front of their room smoking. I watched a security guard chase a guy who had hoped the fence. Oh, and also we found a used condom in the bed, and all they had done was change the sheets. When we asked for a new room, they said none were available. After a first hand experience here I really feel this place may be a hidden recovery home and or place for prostitutes. Some of the locals around here are very kind, others not so much. We stayed for the sole reason of there being no other place to stay in the area. It's not the worst place as said before of your only other option is to sleep in your car. But don't stay here if you are on a vacation. read more

This is one of those places that would receive 0 stars if possible. I have never in my life been to a hotel this unsanitary, loud, and scary. The good is that it is cheap.... That's is honestly the only good thing I could say. I stayed here for about 3 days. As mentioned below, do not be surprised to see the police searching for felons. There is so much noise in this hotel at night, mostly from people getting 'lucky' and being so loud that they obviously have no consideration for the possibility of children in the room beside them, a bunch of drunk idiots that decided to throw a party at a hotel room, or a nice loud argument between thugs. The restroom smelled BAD during our visit, probably not properly cleaned or something wrong with sewage. There was a nice, fat, dead cockroach waiting under my bed (disgusting). And to top it off, yes, there are BUGS in the beds or on the carpets. Parents, do not bring your children here. I would rather spend a bit more money than to ever stay here again. Throughout the years,in between places (and a few relationships) The Paradise Lodge is like staying with Family!Friendly, Helpful Staff, Nice Clean,soft sheets & comfy Bed is WHY I come back! A few things are a bit used, but everything works.Kudos to their long-time Maintenence Guy, Will, for that.I usually stay for 2 weeks at a time.ALWAYS an ample supply of HOT WATER,Extra Towels IF one needs it.Small fridge in the Units,PLUS 3 different Channels of HBO to binge on.There's a HUGE thrift Store across the Street(A Life-saver)Market and different Take-out places within walking Distance,and Yes, I can walk at night around there for late-night snacks at the 2 Gas Stations on the Corner.Management here has really paid attention to it's upkeep ! read more

Bedbugs. Zero stars. Also, lost my key. They would not give me another key or just let me in the room. I had no other place to go and it was late. So, I paid for another room and then called my credit card company in the morning. Was easy to dispute because the charges for two rooms made no sense. I had to go back on the following day for the manager to give me my belongings that I had left in my first room. And the little red bugs? Did some research and they were bedbugs. I've always had good service here unlike other motels in the area. At others like the Starlight Inn the staff is so incredibly rude. It is refreshing to be treated like a customer and not a criminal. The common areas are run down but the actual rooms are decent for the price. Also, the rooms are much larger than the Starlight for the same price. read more

Despite the reviews I read, this place was very adequate. The staff was friendly, did not see no bugs, they use a funky smelling cleaner but no urine or anythimg. Wifi can be off and on and the pool was not open, but if you want to save money and are not ultra picky, this works. read more

Not the nicest or cheapest place in the valley. I'm only giving it one star because it got the job done and by that I mean..at least the door was able to close and lock. After I paid for the room I dropped my things off and went to run a couple errands, when I came back the security guard wouldn't let me in the gate because he thought I was a "visitor" and no visitors were allowed after 9..so I had to get out and have the lady at the front desk give me another card to go in. There was duct tape on the window in the bathroom, a group of crackheads smoking in the back, and the blankets were rougher than sandpaper. Not to mention there were roaches in the bathroom. Disgusting. I left as soon as I woke up. I will never be going there again. There are other nicer places you can go to for cheaper or similar prices you just have to search. Stayed on 5/29/17 .. Horrible. Ewww!!!! I asked for a non smoking room. And we walked in and there was a strong smell of smoke. The bathroom light didn't work. The sheets had cigarette burns all over them. And to top it off no parking so we had to park across the street at a store. I really wish I could grade this place with a zero They work with the police, so if you have a warrants you will be woken up 3-4 am with 8 cops at your door. They are coming to arrest you and if you don't answer their coming in with a key that the front office gave them. The owners/front desk gives the police your name so they run your names. To top it off the whole building has an infestation with bedbugs. There's roaches in most of the rooms to especially on the bottom floor.. I'm surprise no one has called the health department on them yet. I understand everyone is in a situation at the time. You can't even sleep comfortably because of the bedbugs and dust mites biting you all night. Oh and watch out for the maintenance man too, he's working with the police as well.
