Free parking. Breakfast included. All day coffee. Across the street is a huge mall with unlimited dining choices and a Whole Foods. Sounds good, right? And it is... Except for noise insulation. Of which there is none. I could hear people talking and walking and watching tv around and above our room. And every time a toilet in at least one room near us flushed, it sounded like Niagara Falls. I did not get much sleep, and that's kind of the point of a hotel.

The Hilton app is actually very good -- it's clean, fast, and easy to book reservations. That part works well. Where things fall apart is when your plans change. I recently needed to make a simple change to a reservation. I tried chat first -- no help. Then I called the Hilton 1-800 number and spent 17 minutes on the phone only to be told there was nothing they could do. I also called the hotel twice early in the morning with no answer. At this point, I'll likely have to track down the hotel manager myself to resolve it. By the time this is done, I'll have spent close to an hour just trying to make a basic change -- and there's still no guarantee it will be waived. Meanwhile, my business plans shifted and I've already booked another Hilton stay at a different location. That's the frustrating part -- I'm staying loyal to the brand, but the system doesn't support flexibility. Airlines have figured this out. Hilton hasn't. As a Diamond member, I expect better. Instead, I feel like I'm working against the system rather than being supported by it. If Hilton can fix the change/cancellation experience, they'd be best-in-class. Until then, business travelers should be aware -- booking is easy, but changes can cost you time and money.

Upon arrival, Rochelle provided a very warm welcome, got us quickly checked in and upgraded us to a nicer room on the 14th floor. She went above and beyond, providing exceptional service. I also had very positive interactions with Angie, Gareth and Janeli throughout the stay. I owe special thanks to Amy & Michelle for making our stay and breakfast extra special, as they went above and beyond making us feel very welcome and that we had everything we needed in the M Lounge and at breakfast. I very much remembered them and their stellar service from my previous stay there in July. They exemplify the excellence associated with the Marriott brand, allowing us to get along with our day and to our local destinations. The room was very clean, modern and had nice views from its balcony. The breakfast buffet and M Lounge are top notch, especially since I am vegan and was able to enjoy not one but three items from the buffet: delicious breakfast potatoes, a yummy sauteed vegetable blend and oatmeal. Other than my stays at Aloft properties which offer great plant-based breakfast sandwiches, this was the first time I had a breakfast at a Marriott property that had enough vegan items where I felt full, satisfied and ready to enjoy my day. The location is very ideal, situated adjacent to a beautiful park, close to many shops and restaurants and not far to the freeway. The pool area is very nice; I enjoyed a cocktail at the pool bar where a great DJ was playing great music and then enjoyed a relaxing time at the pool. Most of all, all the staff we encountered were truly amazing and without a doubt not only meet but exceed the high Marriott standards. I wholeheartedly recommend this great Marriott for anyone in the area for personal or business.

Moshin at the front desk was efficient, professional, and fully engaged from the moment I approached. He acknowledged me right away, handled everything smoothly, and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Unfortunately, that level of service wasn't consistent across the desk. While I was waiting, another associate appeared available but never looked up or acknowledged me, not even a quick "I'll be with you in a moment or my associate will be with you in a moment." That lack of basic engagement was noticeable. That said, Moshin's exceptional service completely shifted my overall impression. Because of him, I'm leaving this as a positive review. He represents the level of hospitality guests hope to experience.

You have to park in a large structure behind the hotel in a business center. They do offer valet for a up charge. The hotel itself is nice and modern. Upon entering, there is a bar and restaurant to the right. Check in was fast and simple. you will have to have your room key ready in order to access elevators. However, the elevator coming down can be very slow, especially if on a high floor. The room was clean and spacious, and had a beautiful view. Housekeeping was very present in the hotel. I saw multiple housekeepers on one hallway, and the overall cleanliness showed. They also offer stay over service, which is appreciated. On the downside the TV was very outdated no smart features, just basic cable. Also for the price the hotel, it's lacking amenities. There is no pool or hot tub just a gym, which is disappointing for this price point. Overall, it was a great stay, especially for the convenient location. There are definitely areas of improvement, considering the cost.

Unfortunately, unlike that experience, our stay here at Woodland Hills was less than satisfactory. The front desk personnel were not friendly. I completely understand that their job is not easy, but is it too much to expect some warmth from someone whose job is to be warm and friendly? Breakfast seemed like a nice spread but was not replenished, so you were often left with the dregs of the food. There were no staff members to attend the guests, so no bowls/plates was quite the norm at breakfast during our 3-day stay. The valet parking of $31+ a day was an annoyance; the valets were the only friendly staff that we encountered. When I called the hotel about a billing question, I kept getting an annoying AI responder. Why can't a real person answer phone calls? Overall, this Home2Suites did not live up to Hilton's standards.

The front desk initially suggested that might have been the reason, but I clarified it was not on the door. When I spoke to another staff member, I was told the cleaning staff might be on strike, which sounded completely made up--especially since someone else had already apologized and admitted my room was simply overlooked. The shower gel in the bathroom was nearly empty upon arrival. For a three-night stay, basic items like this should be checked and fully stocked in advance. Breakfast was also very disappointing. Many items were gone, and staff did not replenish them. You are left with banana, yogurt, oatmeal. Additionally, the elevator service was extremely slow. With only two elevators available, one broke down at one point, causing chaos and long wait times as lines quickly formed. They offer tea in the lobby, but unfortunately, the water was cold--another small detail that reflects poor attention to guest experience. The valet staff was friendly--and frankly, they should be, given the $31 per night charge, which felt like a complete rip-off. Overall, the service and maintenance fell below expectations, and I hope the hotel improves its attention to detail and communication moving forward.

My concern is why are they making us pay an extra $120 fee now after we already paid for that time? On the board on front says exactly 20 deposit and if I go over time Max is 40. And yesterday I went and even thought I already paid and passed that moment that I went over 2 hours they are still making overpay fees for that exactly day? Is that something the company is aware of or is just something the employee are trying to be smarty about it? Because I never saw that on the guest rules board. I feel the employee are going over board with the actidud and been really rude. And on the paperwork they put only 20 fee and we told them we have 120 and then they try to change it.
