I've been riding the bike here for coffee every morning of vacation. Great location right off the beach. Staff is super friendly. Very relaxing morning vibes. Stopped here for a sweet treat while visiting family in St. Pete!! Such a cute spot to grab an ice cream and walk around or visit the beach. The servers were very friendly and let me try multiple flavors (Yum!). I tried the blueberry cheesecake and the double (triple?) peanut butter. Ended up going with the peanut butter in a chocolate waffle cone with sprinkles. The store itself is very cute, there's some seating outdoors and it was busy but luckily didn't have to wait too long to be served. I'll definitely come back the next time that I'm in town and have to try more of the flavors or the coffee! read more

Loved the ice cream, it was the perfect post-dinner treat. The free samples are appreciated because there are so many flavors and everything I tried was delicious. We also visited Paradise Sweets for specialty coffee and bottled water on our first morning and it hit the spot. Great spot to cool off next to the beach! Came on Friday afternoon it was a little busy but line moved quickly and we were able to find a few chairs to lounge in. Was so difficult to choose between ice cream or shaved ice, so I got a rootbeer float that was absolutely delicious and had the perfect amount of ice cream. Highly recommend! read more

There was a long line when we stopped by, but it was worth the wait. Enough choices of flavors to make anyone happy with very fresh waffle cones. It is a small shop and with only one clerk the day we stopped by it made for a few minute wait to be served, but it really was worth it. Make sure to stop in! read more

This place is literally in the waterfront. Short walk from the hot sand for a delicious treat or a quick snack. Amazing family friendly environment. Smoothies and house coffee frozen drink were excellent. Going to St Pete Beach should certainly include a trip to Paradise Sweets. Such a great atmosphere . Can't wait to be back! read more

I thought my ice cream was delicious. I got the chocolate fudge brownie and it was phenomenal. The workers were very nice and provided amazing service. However, my friend didn't have the same experience. He was devastated when he saw that they changed the name of his favorite ice cream. They changed Superman to Superhero. He felt betrayed and decided not to get it because of the name change. He asks that the name gets changed back by next summer. read more

It's great that a common ice cream place is placed right across the beach. They also have candies and coffees/teas. Three stars because I think it's overrated. Some of the staff were super accommodating and kind and others gave an attitude. Their flavors aren't anything special, however, the ice cream is real. It melts fast so that means little or no emulsifiers in it. They have a few tables inside and out, both on the sort of patio and around the side of 8th. The tables aren't cleaned regularly, so be prepared to reposition yourself and belongings or grab some napkins prior to or get nasty! They didn't have mint-(choco)-chip when I was there..... that's my go-to flavor! I tried a couple of flavors and got a small cup with two flavors for $3.50. I then wanted a coffee post purchase and I wasn't able to locate a garbage bin to toss out my empty cup. I asked one of the boys behind the counter where the bins are and he said outside (I didn't want to go outside, I was outside all day!) and he said that they're overflowing, and then when he saw my frustration because the main door was flooded with families entering and ordering he said there's one inside right between the door and the counter.... again! That's right where it was overwhelming with people. I asked if he could take it and if I could place an order for coffee. He completely ignored me and turned his head the other way. Then he motioned for some newcomers to order and basically got rid of me. It did the trick. I grabbed my stuff and pushed through the swarm of people and the trash bin was overstuffed inside too. Half of my rubbish fell in the gap between the bin and the ice cream counter. I don't think I'll be back. The girls working behind the counter we're courteous and did amazingly. I gave a $0.50 tip for the ones who initially helped me. ----- After messaging in depth with the owner, I've learned that the ingredients in the Vanilla ice cream are as follows: Cream, milk, skim milk, sugar, whey, stabilizer (locust bean gum, guar gum), vanilla extract, vanilla bean. What is not to love about REAL ice cream and a ton of delicious (and some not common) flavors? I had the strawberry shortcake flavor and decided on a second flavor -- carrot cake. It didn't disappoint. Someone in my group of ice cream junkies also had the coconut and peace (separate flavors) and both were amazing. The coconut had chunks of coconut and slices of it as well. The peach was very light and not as heavy as the flavors I had. Add the beautiful sunsets across the street, and you have found heaven! read more

What a great treat after a day at the beach! I ordered one scoop of the razzle dazzle (?): raspberry with pieces of chocolate inside. And one scoop was plenty! While I ordered it in a waffle cone, the server observed that since the ice scream was soft, that a bowl would be helpful, and I'm glad for that! Once outside, my group sat down to enjoy their treats. I ate half of my ice cream from the cone and the other half from the bowl. Would definitely come back! read more

Anyone familiar with the beautiful summer weather we enjoy much of the year in Florida will appreciate this type of shop, especially when it's located directly across from the beach. I've read the reviews on the coffee and I can appreciate having a great coffee shop to start the day, but to me this place is about a cold refreshment to recharge yourself after spending a day in the sun. This little oasis is the place to be when you're craving something cold and sweet and you aren't quite ready for that alcoholic beverage. I usually find myself torn between the "shave' ice and a really good ice cream cone but more often than not I go for the soft velvety snow ball especially if they offer "tigers blood" flavoring as an option. Being this area is a popular tourist spot I thought the prices were fair, a small snow ball will run you about $3.50 before tax, but I'd say the small is comparable to a medium at most places. I think I need to clarify something before going forward please don't confuse this treat with a snow-cone there is absolutely no comparison this Hawaiian inspired treat is so much more, this ice is shaved not ground so it's all about the texture. They also offer plenty of candies choices in self-serve jars thats great to take with you for later. I did look over the ice cream selection and although as tempting as they were I didn't try them so I can't comment on the quality although this seemed to be the choice by most. read more

As regulars this place was great- great coffee, great ice cream, unique sodas and old fashioned candy and plenty of dairy free options- HOWEVER on mother's Day after dinner and a walk on the beach, we waited for over 10 minutes in line only to be told that we, and the two sets of guests in front of us would not be served as they were closed! We were in line well before closing so I let them know how rude this was- it's not my fault they weren't prepared for Mother's Day business! read more

Highly recommend this place! We have been there twice and both times the service was fast and friendly from the two gals working. It's not the cheapest but is certainly worth what you pay. I got my girlfriend the Iced Chai Latte after flying a kite for an hour. It got all tangled and we ended up throwing it in the large trash bin that was very easy to locate OUTSIDE. It was a great trash bin highly recommend. I do not however recommend buying a kite from Walmart. read more

Great view of the water from the ~10 or so seats outside the shop. Jamaican music fits great with their location. Free wifi. Got the mocha - it was too sweet for me, but, the name of the place is Paradise Sweets, so I'm not gonna be that guy and knock a star off for that. Tip for newbies: The parking directly in front, on the cafe's side of the street is free but 15mins only, so you'd need to be leaving (to where?). The other side of the street park as long as you like, and there were several spots open on a perfect beach Sunday. You pay at a little town-run machine, $1.50/hour. read more

Literally served us melted ice cream. When I pointed out it was melted they were like yeah it gets hot in here, hard to keep up with the heat. What??? It's in a freezer. They did t even offer a different flavor That wasn't melted. I'm a local and won't be coming back. They must think they can be rude because it's a tourist area. read more

I started becoming more interested into coffee as time went by and started roasting our own espresso and single origin beans in 2010. Since then we have become known for our excellent coffee drinks. We are visiting from Daytona Beach and found Pass a Grill beach, we were eating upstairs at the Brass Monkey and decided to have an after dinner coffee. We walked in a bit before 9pm, I did not see any hours of operation posted anywhere. The man who took our order seemed angry we had walked in and was very short and rude, seemed like he just did not want to be there or help us in any way. Since it was our first time there we scanned the menu looking for something that would be good, the man just kept rushing us and continued to be short with us, we had no idea that they were closing up, he could have mentioned that, very poor customer service. I ordered a small latte with sugar, no sugar in the latte when I got it, and when I mentioned the sugar the man slammed the ice cream case down and said the sugar is over there.... I should have walked out and given the latte back.... If you don't want to work don't take it out on the customers.... If you are about to close you can mention that nicely and not be so rude. read more

Great place to get a handmade latte or some local ice cream in the heart of Pass-a-grille. Pleasantly surprised to find some decent coffee out on the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. They have handmade Adirondack chairs on the patio to relax and watch the sunset. Will definitely come back again next year for a late summer vacation. read more
