This is a cute historic castle hotel. In addition to the hotel grounds, there is a historic tower to visit in the backside of the courtyard, which is a separate establishment from the hotel and requires entrance fee. It would be nice if they can combine it with the hotel and the hotel guests can visit for free.
The castle is located on top of a hill, the view of the beautiful town below is just beautiful, and the sunset is breathtaking. It can be windy up there. We were there in late September, and this was the coldest, the most windy place while we were in Spain.
Our room was decent considering this is an old castle and an old hotel. The bathroom is clean too completed with a traditional bidet. Being an American this is not something we are used to seeing, but we find it very interesting.
We ate at both the bar and the restaurant. The food was very good in both places. Their main restaurant was grand and beautiful. They serve traditional local dishes that we've never seen before, and enjoyed very much. My husband love his lamb and I really liked my layered cod dish.
We certainly enjoyed our short stay in this hotel! read more
