Among my group of friends this is renowned as the best liquor store in our area. It is huge, always has competitions running with giveaways with alcohol really common. Even if they don't advertise, just ask and they will usually give you a stubby holder or hat or something. We always visit PALS for the summer season and stock up on all the best deals, it is usally a whole experience going down there together, comparing products, prices and filling our trollies. I would definitely recommend PALS to anyone up North, and steer clear of the chains like Liquorland and Woolworths liquor, those places don't need anymore of my money. read more

Any bottle shop that can abreviate its name into P.A.L.S. is a winner in my book! I must say Parafield Liquor is definatley a PAL of mine! Although my best mate is Dan (Dan Murphy's Marden store), I occasionally cheat on my bro-mance with him and head to PALS for my intoxicating sustinance. The selection isn't quite as big, but the prices are very similar, so never really lose out. The spirit selection is impressive but imported beer varieties do fall a little short. Still very good in comparison to all other bottle-o's though. I ended up doing my x-mas grog shopping there this year and was in and out in about 10 minutes spending less than a minute at the check out. I reckon that I could have been waiting in line for over 10 minutes at some other places, so definately another box ticked in my opinion! read more
We had high expectations of the Parafield Airport Liquor Store, having seen a lot of ads and figuring given its location up Elizabeth way it'd have some good bargains. It's definitely a big store, complete with a couple of uniformed security guards patrolling the store, although that could be a bonus for Christmas. Our first surprise was that there wasn't any real difference between here and any other good bottleshop, on spirits and liqueurs. Casked wine and the cheaper wines (under $10-$15) abound, and they did have some good loss leaders in the specials in the cheaper end of wines, but once you stepped up into the $20-$30 and up bottles, again, very little difference to any other bottle-o. Staff were friendly and ready to assist - there were four guys patrolling the floor, asking if they could help anyone, and three checkout operators so no real queue upon exit. We snagged a few bottles of wine and a carton of Crown - found the Crownies cheaper in a Woolies flier this morning, but I reckon we made it up on the wines. There is a good bonus here though - the drive thru Chicken & Chips store was a hit - lovely fresh chips, crisp and delicious. Worth checking out as you leave with your booze :) read more
