When l normally buy items from these guys at the check out it could easily hit several hundreds of pounds if not over a thousand pounds. I reticently purchased a Garrett pro pointer amongst other things, one of the new orange ones and thought when spending £130.00 on one piece of kit that it would last more than a few uses. One the first day of use the item failed, on changing the battery it seemed to work for a few hours but the next day the probe failed and l thought that was quite strange as the old probe that l had the battery would last at least a month or more. In one month l went through five battery's and when you go through that many there is obviously a fault somewhere. I contacted customer services and it was if they where speaking to me as if l was a child or an idiot saying that it was common to have battery's that fail, yes l understood that but not five different brands. I was promised a replacement but was only sent the old faulty one back. I wouldn't use Regton's after the way l was treated by customer services.

There aren't many mobile phone shops in Shirley and that's why this is one of the first places I look when purchasing something for my phone. There are phone shops like this in local surrounding areas so I think Mobile Phonez need to be more competitive with their prices. If you need a cheap phone then come here but don't expect it to be a modern model. The majority of the phones they sell are extremely dated. Put it this way-It's been a while since I have seen a phone with a black and white screen. On the other hand they have some basic accessories for new phones. I went in there to look at their phone covers for a HTC Wildfire S. Headed to this store and the man was very helpful, said as it was a newer Nokia it could be difficult to unlock but to leave it with him and he would try. It ended up taking over night as just flashing the phone did not work, it only cost £10 and meant I was able to use my new sim in my newish phone. So what's to do? Well, I discovered, head to Midland Vac. Amongst many other domestic and industrial floor-cleaning related services, they recommission Dysons that are brought to them for repair, and then sell them on for approximately half the price that a brand new one would cost. Which, for me and my dilemma, is genius. I get a Dyson in good working order and don't have to break the bank for the privilege. The staff all seem to know their stuff and can talk to you about guarantees and warranties and random vacuum cleaner parts, should you feel so inclined. I didn't - I just wanted to get the bad boy back home and try it out. Which I did, and it works perfectly. I am now feeling quite smug, courtesy of Midland Vac. Obviously, I could actually give them 5 stars, considering the fact that all I had was great customer service in buying a great product at a great price. However, I feel a bit of a geek for giving my only 5 star review to vacuum cleaner specialists. It hasn't actually changed my life. But it's certainly made it a little cleaner.

What happened in our case was that a friend told us they needed a hoover and, amazingly, that very same day we saw that someone further down our street had left a hoover out with a sign saying "Free to a good home". We picked it up and gave it to our friend and, of course, it didn't work. A quick and cheap visit to this place later and our friend had a fully functioning hoover. So, I can recommend this place!

The price is average with much of the stuff available cheaper if you shopped around but you get a good deal on the bath items. The shop is usually quiet and is very well laid out to give a pleasant experience.
