Doing business with them was a breeze from our phone call to get a quote all the way through closing. They have someone in the office 24hours to attend to your questions and needs. They ask the right questions to help you and walk you through what you need or what may need in case you forgot to ask anything. They have a variety of chapels available for what you may need. Some are a little outdated and need some TLC but they are all clean & presentable (at least the ones we have seen). Staff are quick to respond when you have a request for service. For a fee, a priest can also be requested if you are unable to find one. Be ready to pay in cash for a request to extend past the 5 days on your contract. Overall, we had a great experience with them. And would recommend them to anyone.

During lunch after doing a tour on the Ton Le Sap Lake, my cousin's boyfriend starts breaking down. He had just read a text on his cellphone and I knew immediately what had happened. HIs mom had been ill and he had been hesitant about going on the trip. Now she was gone. When we flew home the next day, we parted in the morning and I met him here that evening for his mom's wake. I had never been here previously so I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a decent funeral home. It was clean, there was an elevator, and everything seemed to be organized.

I know cemeteries can be spooky and downright chilling for most people, but Heritage Memorial Park will make you rethink on how cemeteries are like. It's completely modern and cool. Not scary at all, even at night time. In fact, the memorial park is beautiful. It has different areas with themes (like a Pagoda). It's clean, well kept and has greenery and hills. Seemingly full of life where life has gone. Even speakers that play lovely ballads throughout the day like Josh Groban's music. It's almost like how heaven for spirits on Earth would look like. In their website it says "world-class services and facilities, and a team of highly-trained and dedicated professionals at your disposal" and I totally and 100% agree! My dad's tita was buried here and the services were top notch. My relatives availed of one of the memorial packages that had my tita's coffin have...GET THIS...a horse drawn gold carriage and then at the burial site, a bagpiper (in costume) was playing in the distance on top of a hill. Say whatttt!? Even the lowering device for the coffin was gold (not real gold). They've won awards AND they have park activities like outdoor film screenings! *insert in love emoji* If that's not quality service, then I don't know what is. So in the future or if you're currently looking for a cemetery for your loves ones (or for yourself?), I highly suggest Heritage Memorial Park! It's even just a nice place to visit even if you don't have loved ones there. Side story: I shot my finals here for my photography class in college. My professor loved my images so much he gave me a 98/100!

An acquaintance of mine recently passed away due to unmentionable circumstances and so I had to pay respects and attend her wake. Heritage Memorial Park is a SIGHT TO SEE. My friends and I were sitting outside on a bench and we reminisced about our friend's life. The inside of the chapel was gorgeous as well. This place reeks of class but it's really not something that you notice firsthand given the reason that you're there in the first place.

We have always opted to use Hall A, which is the largest chapel that they had. Hall A is part of the new building and it features high ceilings and large glass windows that let in a lot of natural light. White canvas blinds and adequate air conditioning gave the space a very open and comfortable feel. Hall A also comes with an en suite toilet and shower plus a pantry with a fridge, a microwave, a wet sink, and an LCD TV. Hall A is actually detached from the rest of the chapels, which gives you some privacy. The other chapels in the old building, frankly, feel a bit claustrophobic. Arlington has its own crematorium and for families who choose this option, the staff thoughtfully orchestrates a farewell ceremony where loved ones will strew flowers and write messages to the person they have lost. Other conveniences include in-house coordination for the publication of obituaries in major newspapers and accredited caterers. The only constructive criticism that I could offer is that they do need to repair their chipped sidetables and fraying upholstery. They might also consider upgrading the plastic Orocan pail that they use as makeshift rubbish bins in public areas.

Maybe it's the fact that the family plot is in the corner and away from the crowd but it's never really been that... busy, in my opinion. To first timers, it can be a little labyrinthine though and you might need to make a few turns before finally getting to where you want to. But it's pretty peaceful. Everything's spaced out well that there's really a sense of serenity around, no matter where you are. I also do rather like the look of the place. Those trees are gorgeous and there are roaming groundskeepers even when it's not November. The grass around the graves is never too long so you can tell that these places are well taken care of. They also have proper toilets. What used to be plain shacks became cemented rooms with proper plumbing so good on them. There's also an on-site chapel right in the middle of the park. All in all, it's a good looking cemetery. It isn't so cluttered and you don't have to worry about thieves.

It used to be that they were the only place I associated with the Visayas and Tandang Sora area, and though I'm completely aware now that people and businesses actually thrive there, I still think the reason for Himlayan's beauty is its tucked-away location. Okay, I've never actually been there during All Souls' Day. since my family is a shut-in at this time of the year, avoiding the crowds entirely, but even when we go on a weekend, we almost always feel like the only people there. It's nice! Kinda creepy, but nice. For me, even the thick concrete walls against the pristine green are a beautiful sight enough, but the place has its share of impressive structures and monuments like the Emilio Jacinto shrine and the Salakot chapel. They all make a somber visit to graves a little more uplifting.
