Paris Baguette finally opened in Long Beach, right across from the Convention Center and by the Pike. What I like: Their pastries are soft and chewy, and the cakes look beautiful and taste even better. What I don't like: Prices are steep at $4-$5 for items that aren't very filling, but service is generous. I ordered a birthday cake, which I highly recommend. It's fluffy and not overpowered with sweetness. They even included a free cake cutter and match. The spacious interior, bright atmosphere, and plentiful outlets make it a great spot to study or hang out.

I'm so glad that they're in Long Beach. Such a great spot to visit because the variety of pastries is great and you can also grab a sandwich or soda if you're hungry. You're definitely not getting the quality of desserts ingredients that you would get in Europe so the fact that it's called Paris is a bit misleading, but I think Paris baguette is known for being an Asian style type of bakery. Nevertheless, everything is fresh and if you need a cake last minute for an occasion, they also have whole cakes. They have coffee, sodas, and other drinks.

Enjoyed the balance of fruit cereal taste with cream filling. I like how their donuts are light and not overly sweet. Only feedback is cereal pieces fall off a little easy. Service is always great and love the phone shopping experience.

Very excited to have a Paris Baguette in Long Beach! I usually frequent one in Cerritos. Baked goods are very fresh! This new location is a replica of the others with self-service items and other items (cakes, sandwiches, coffees) that you order at the counter. I was surprised to see a nice selection of whole cakes along with slices in the cases. Service waa great with friendly staff. I pre-ordered a cake online to be picked up. The process was very easy. I ordered the Cappuccino Cake. It looked just like the photo online! The taste was so good! We all loved the cake! They did a beautiful job and personalizing it with a birthday wish! If you like coffee flavored sweets, definitely a great one to try out. Over the years, I have had many different flavors, and now this one is my personal favorite! The cake was very fresh and moist! The cake was packaged very well for toting back to the car. Parking is a bit of a challenge in this area. The Pike has the Aquarium close by along with a lot of stores to shop. The convention center is close by. There is a parking structure and some street parking. Much closer to street park if you are going to be in and out quickly. There isn't any "green" short-term parking close by, a bit of a hike with a cake. Hoping management reads this review and petitions the city for a short-term space(s) close by. I am sure this set up is mostly for foot traffic. I definitely will return when in the area to shop, quick bites, but for Whole Cake, need to stick with Cerritos location. Fortunately, this was a smaller and lighter cake so I was able to get from store to the car without an accident.

Paris Baguette opened this new location in Long Beach, on Pine Ave, close to the water. The place was busy on a Sunday morning, there's some seating inside, cute bistro tables and chairs. Too bad they don't have any seating outside, it was such a nice, sunny day! The shop has always a good, solid selection of pastries, you pick them up, go and pay. We wanted some savory pastries and grabbed their Quiche Lorraine version which was very tasty and the hash brown bread with ham and cheese, always a nice, indulging treat. I asked the staff member who helped us to heat them up. He was nice to do so, but I had to work hard to get his attention (he was talking to another staff member) that we didn't need them packed since we were gonna eat them there. More attention to the customer would be appreciated! Since it was a hot day, we shared a strawberry smoothie, very well blended! We wanted an iced peach tea, which is on their menu, but they didn't have it that day! Great selection of pastries, desserts, sandwiches, savory items, cakes, coffee-s and some iced drinks. Paris Baguette is solid and has something for everybody! Glad it opened here! Saved our breakfast/snack break!

This new Paris Baguette is well decorated and has plenty of beautiful cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and more! It's conveniently located right across from the convention center, so it's in a good walkable area, however parking can be difficult. It's a great spot to grab some affordable breakfast or lunch, but my favorite thing to get here is the blueberry yogurt cake slice. So delicious, light, and not too sweet!

    Beautiful spot!

This place is INSANELY GOOD!!! They just opened a location close to my office and that's problematic because now I want to eat there daily! You can park on metered street parking. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, and quite large with plenty of seating if you choose to eat inside. Clean bathrooms. I love any of the pastries with fruit and also LOVE the savory options here! I had some sorry of curry pasty and it was DELISH!! I also love their fancy salted pretzel croissants. I also tried the chicken salad sandwich and it was super yummy. The pre packaged salads are also fresh and delicious here! I ordered an iced salted pretzel latte and it wasn't great, but with this being a new location I think they just needed to work out a couple kinks on the cafe side. Everyone working there was SO nice, friendly x and helpful and seemed like a great team! I'll be back and then back again! Absolutely love this place!!

Finally made it here to check out the new location of PB in DTLB. I am so happy there they opened a location here, since I've been working in for over 15 years and have tried every single thing in downtown for lunch, that is still tolerable by walking... So, this location is on Pine, next to or around Islands if you need point of reference. It's facing the torturing sun during most of the day so the shop is pretty bright and hot, outside... Inside.. I think they tried to make it as efficient as possible by putting as many tables so people can sit indoor but, the layout is too small for an efficient way for customers to maneuver the pastries while not walking into sitting patrons. If you've been to a PB, you know the drill... Lots of pastries, you take a tray and grab what you want. Pastries are consistent and I love their cakes. One thing I hope they will improve is the efficient of the staff... not sure if they are still training but they are so slow! The one who helped me, took forever to look up each 3 items I had on my hand, and asked me 3 times what I wanted for my drinks... she was also very slow with typing items onto her computer screen...I'm not trying to be impatient but there is always a long line and though they have 2 cashier registers, only one was working both times I went, and each time, the one at the cashier was super slow... so painstakingly slow that I do not want to come back... They also mixed up hot and cold drinks and you would have to wait for them to remake... Also, I got a matcha and, it was not good at all..... They use a premixed power matcha that already has milk in it or something, and very sweet... if you are a matcha enthusiast you will know what I'm talking about if you get matcha here. Not recommend.. Hope their service will improve somehow for a smoother experience..

This is a late post review. I was invited to their soft opening. For my Long Beach friends and when you're in the area go support Paris Baguette at The Pike located on street level next to the theater and an Irish pub. This area will build up good business with time once the summer Olympics come to LB. There are beautiful whole cakes and slices. They offered samples of cake slices and sandwiches, and gifted us a selection of half dozen pastries and a drink of choice. The coffee is so good!

I'm over a fan of the Matcha and ice coffee that I am of the pastries. Yes, they have a lot of them, but they all seem like they taste the same. I will say that their gluten-free selections are pretty good and don't fall apart and turn to dust as soon as you bite into them. I can't speak much about the other stuff because I am more of a gluten-free person but I can't tell you that they're coffee and Matcha is always delicious.

We are here multiple times across4 days and always got something different. The staff were kind and the food was delicious! We tried coffees (vanilla latte, creams macchiato, vanilla cold brew), sandwiches (egg salad, chicken salad), and pastries (madeleines, croissants, pizzitas, and more) an EVERYTHING was delicious!! I would definitely come again

Cute little shop located at the Pike Long Beach. We were dining next door and my kids were craving sweets so there we went. Busy place but worth the wait. Hot chocolate and donuts for the kiddos with no complaints. My wife tried their yogurt with fruit and she loved it.Fresh fruit with great tasting yogurt.Want to return to try more items.

I ordered the Cuban Empanada as an appetizer. The savory rice and bean filling was a perfect compliment to the sweet ripe plantain filling and hint of sweetness in the dough. They are baked and the dough is thick and chewy, so if you're not a fan of that type of Empanada, be warned... I ordered the Cuban Sandwich as the main course. It was DELICIOUS and I would recommend it to everyone! If you're a purist, like a few of my friends and family though, be warned. Their take on the Cuban is made with Ciabatta not Cuban Bread, Mozzarella not Swiss, and is toasted not pressed... I ordered a Vanilla & Dulce De Leche Cookie for Dessert. It was AMAZING! Soft chewy on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. The taste of a sugar cookie with little sugar bombs of Dulce De Leche throughout. Perfect. And I washed it all down with a Tres Leches Latte (Hot). It was DIVINE! Very much on the sweet side, which I absolutely enjoyed to the last drop. But, if you do not like it too sweet, you can ask them to lower the sweetness level. Also, they will give you an option of dairy milk (2%), almond milk, or oat milk when you order. It was our first time here, so we wanted to try all the flavors! We got the beef, chicken, BBQ pork, Cuban, chicken curry, veggie, and ropa vieja empanadas. I LOVE the crispy exterior of the empanadas, although interestingly, the first bites always tasted slightly salty. The fillings all had decent flavor, but none of them were outstanding or impressed me enough to want more. I will say, the green salsa they included with the order SIGNIFICANTLY improved the taste and experience of the empanadas. By itself, I'd rate the empanadas 3/5, but with the salsa, it definitely goes up to at least 4/5. But I dislike that the empanadas can't hold their own without the addition of the salsa. The shop is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. I think there were a few tables outside to enjoy the food, but not much seating otherwise. The girl at the counter seemed sweet and helpful and immediately greeted us when we came into the store. While the empanadas here aren't for me, it does seem like many people like them!

It came with a side (salad was fresh and crisp) and a muffin -- their raspberry streusel muffin was so delicious and a perfect dessert to tie the meal together. I would definitely get this special again, and look forward to trying their other versions of both quiches and muffins. Others at my table got strawberry pancakes, a pastrami sandwich, and chicken fried steak. All food was devoured, so I take it that it was good. However, I really think that the baked goods make this place. So if you go, don't skip out on those.

I understand that there was a wait but we weren't even done with our food and she was already taking away my plate so that she could to start cleaning up. I think the thing that I was so astounded by, was that after my husband signed the visa she took it away and then had the nerve to come back two minutes later with the crumpled receipt and ask us if we wanted the copy back. Under her breath but very clearly she said ... because I see there was no tip written on the visa!!! Little did she know that we were leaving a cash tip! So unprofessional! I felt so pushed! Breakfast is an expensive meal and the rush and unprofessionalism of the waitress was truly unbelievable. Sadly I don't think I will return.
