    French Onion Soup
    Art C.

For a special occasion I got to pick the restaurant last night and came up with Paris Bistrot. I love French, and it was more reasonably priced than other upscale places I considered. We made reservations a few days earlier. Paris Bistrot is a smallish place, 10 or 12 tables indoors and a few more outside, so reservations, at least for dinner, will ensure you can get in. I had checked out the menu online and knew what I wanted, their French Onion Soup and Beef Bourguignon. Our efficient servers took good care of us. Nothing went quickly but also not too slowly as they handled a full restaurant. The restaurant had a pleasant feel with white tablecloths, bottles of wine on display, and wall hangings that included images of the Eiffel Tower. There was background music playing but it was so soft vs the rather loud conversation noise in the room that I couldn't tell if it was French, Christmas, or something else. As for the food, unfortunately we were not that impressed. For my soup, I felt it lacked flavor. It certainly wasn't salty. Although I think sometimes French onion soup is over salty to hide a weak broth, in this case the watery broth was just that. The cheese, while abundant and texturally spot on, did not contribute much to the flavor. My Beef Bourguignon was better, but again could have used some salt. The beef was very tender, the gravy didn't really stand out at all. I missed the richness. Serving sizes were more European than big plate American, I suppose not really a bad thing - lol. My wife was also not that impressed with her Filet de Boeuf, thinking it was not that good of a cut of meat. I actually got to try some of hers with the blue cheese sauce and very much liked it, best thing I ate.

Beef Bourguignon is tasty and hearty meal

Beef Bourguignon is my favorite after a classic bowl of Onion Soup and a banana caramel crepe was delicious. Good wine collection pairs with various dishes Outdoor seating is excellent during fair weather Very clean and well maintained toilets. Ample parking. Friendly waitstaff. Excellent service. Reservations with 1 day notice. IPhone and Andoid pay acceptance.

Our first time, and as lovers of bistro fare and wine, we never know what we'll find. We brought our own wines, a pair of older Southern Rhones - and happily paid the $15 corkage. We find many restaurants do not have the ability to offer wines with some age, and most French bottlings need time to reach their potential. In addition, no vintages are shown on the wine list, so one can expect younger wines. The atmosphere in this cozy spot is terrific and you might think you arrived in Paris. The owner, Jean Christophe, works the floor service was excellent throughout our meal. We had the Chicken Normande, which my wife thought was outstanding, and I had the Cassoulet which was good but a bit dry. Think I'll try the Pork Marco Polo next time. The Pomme-Calva dessert crepe was interesting- the apple was fresh but larger pieces inside the melt-in-your-mouth crepe made it seem "lumpy" and chewy in comparison to the beautiful crepe wrapper. We enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Loved it! Our server Harvey did a good job. The onion soup is awesome. The hot brie salad is great. The pork Marco Polo has a delicious sauce but the meat was just a little overcooked. Harvey had recommended the filet with the same sauce and he was right. The curry shrimp was very good, almost as good as our favorite place in St. Martin. The malbec was tasty and the bread was good. We will absolutely be back.

We ordered Choc Molten Lava cake with ice cream and Cheesecake with berries to go. The dining room was lovely, our waiter Christian was professional, friendly and a delight. The setting was relaxing as we watched other families celebrate too. The Lemonade was freshly squeezed so it was strong and tart. The Choc Martini was delicious. The crab stuffed mushrooms were large and full of crab. We'd get this again! We ordered the ribeye medium with pink center. It came out on a sizzling hot plate and was delicious. However the searing plate keep cooking the meat so next time we would order it medium rare knowing it then may become pink vs cooked through to medium no pink. The Sea Bass was light and flaky on a bed of hot mushrooms and veggies. It was also searing and came with the soy ginger sauce on the side so you could add it over the top and as much or as little as you'd like. The sprouts were perfect with the mix of sweet and savory. The Cheesecake had a very thick crust that was a bit overpowering and more than the actually cheesecake filling. We were too full to eat it after the meal and took it home. I heated the Molten Lava Cake up and added the ice cream. It was delicious. I'm sure it would have been even better fresh and hot. Overall our experience was wonderful. Was it worth $244.76 I'm not sure. I'd like to go back and sit at the bar to try their salad, soup and apps without an entree as they all looked inviting, but this time we wanted to try the steak.

If you're looking for the diamond in the rough, you've found it! (It's on a golf course) A…read morewonderful hidden gem with the friendliest waitress you'll ever meet! Brief Summary: Napar restaurant is a newly opened restaurant that features beautiful decor, tasty food, and an outstanding staff! This one checks all of the boxes for me. Among the highlights were a red curry dish that melted in my mouth with every bite, a very comfy and clean restaurant that made me feel at ease, and a waitress that made me laugh so hard I damn near pissed myself from laughing! Just an absolutely lovely place. Give it a try and thank me later! Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Absolutely! The Food: We started with the calamari. It was very lightly breaded. Almost like a tempura type of batter which I thought was perfect! The duck risotto was an absolute delight! The risotto was cooked perfectly. The sauce complimented the duck and the risotto well. There was also a rather generous amount of duck for the price! Everything came together nicely. The duck was a little bit overcooked, but not enough to take away from the dish in any way, shape, or form. The red curry was my favorite! Every bite melted in my mouth! to the point where I was eating out of pure gluttony at the end! I ordered it medium spicy, and it was the PERFECT level. It had a little heat, but not enough to make you lose out on any of the delicious flavors of the dish! I also had the lo mein with steak on top. This was delicious! Definitely not something you get from a food court Chinese restaurant. The steak was a bit overcooked, but again, not to a point where it was even worth mentioning. We added some chili seasoning to it and it took it to a whole different level of tasty! Didn't make it too spicy, but added some beautiful flavors that complimented it nicely! They make this in house, so be sure to try it! I had a couple sushi rolls as well. A volcano lava roll that had baked crab meat and scallops on top with a little bit of a smokey hit. It was phenomenal! The biggest surprise to me was the spicy tuna. Typically, sushi places use the cheapest pieces of meat to make the spicy tuna since it gets ground up. Most people can't tell. HOWEVER, this place served us the most beautifully colored fresh red spicy tuna I've ever had! They make it from high quality tuna. Something I've only ever seen one other time in my life. It impressed me because it's something most people will never notice, yet they chose to do it, because that's the correct way of doing it, and I think it speaks volumes to their operation! We finished the night with the mango and rice desert. I've never had it before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was a nice refreshing desert that featured mostly natural sugars. Very refreshing! They also surprised my mother with an array of mochi and a creme brûlée! Now I'm not a fan of mochi. I think they're overrated, BUT these were the best I've ever had! So fresh and so delicious that I could eat them every day! The creme brûlée was also very nice. It was the least sweet one I've ever had, but in a world where dumping sugar in everything has become the norm, it was actually nice! Overall, very delicious food that will leave your stomach happy! Value: I found the pricing to be extremely fair! The portions are reasonably sized and I had no issue whatsoever paying the amount I did for the amount of food we received! Service and Staff: our waitress was honestly my favorite part of the entire dining experience! Her name is Siri, which she openly jokes about. She is so kind, helpful, funny, and full of energy! The food could have been absolutely awful, and we still would have gone back just to see her! Just a truly hard working woman that takes pride in what she does. She goes above and beyond to make you smile and laugh. All while managing the entire dining room and mixing drinks! She seriously can do it all! The world needs more people like Siri! The funniest thing she said, was to the table next to us that had ordered the lobster. When she brought it out, they said "Wow! Looks good!" And she replied, "I just pulled out of the lake!" As she points to the pond out the window! LOL! The right waitress can make or break any dining experience. Siri, you made this one for us, and we thank you! Location and Interior: The restaurant is not located in a main road. It's on a golf course. It's not something you'll just run into, but with the help of your trusty GPS, you'll find it no problem! The interior was beautifully decorated and very clean! You can feel the passion they put into it through the decor, and I absolutely was about it! Final Thoughts: A beautiful restaurant, with delicious food, being served by one of the most friendly people I've ever met! P.S. Please help support local businesses like this one! Final Scores: Food - 9/10 Value - 5/5 Service/Staff - 5/5 Location/Interior 5/5 Total 24/25 = 4.8/5 Stars Stay fresh Mother Fooders! :p

From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.
