My partner + I both tried the eggs benny (mine with bacon; his with salmon). We usually ask for the Hollandaise sauce on the side as it can be overpowering but this H sauce was absolutely the perfect compliment - we ate every last bit of it! Not knowing exactly what to expect, we were surprised when it arrived with a yummy curd (similar to a Boston cream curd, maybe?) on top of the salted caramel. Although I'm not a huge curd fan, I was absolutely a fan of this one. Again, it fit the flavor of the dish so well! Brunchbar also offers brunchbox takeaway which you can order online for pickup. And there are lots of yummy looking grab-and-go pastries if you're just looking for a quick coffee. They had a wonderful selection and I knew it was going to be great the second we walked in. Ordering is super simple and the service was good. They women working there did speak some English and we were able to communicate our order to them. The inside is very clean and I really appreciated the aesthetic of the eatery. They offer several floors to eat on too. I ended up ordering a salmon-avocado toast. I knew immediately that I wanted to order it when I saw it in the display case. The toast included smoked salmon on one side, a small salad with avocado slices in the center, and a jammy hard boiled egg on the other side. This all was atop of thick piece of rustic French bread. The bread also had some sort of sun-dried tomato spread on it, which was fantastic. I really loved the presentation of the toast, almost felt guilty cutting into it! It was so fresh and full of so much flavor. The avocado was extremely smooth, the salmon perfectly fatty, and the egg cooked just right. The sun-dried tomato spread tied the whole thing together. And of course the bread was amazing as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. I left full and very satisfied with the experience. My salmon-avocado toast was perfect in every which way. Every component of it was very fresh too. If you need a quick bite and are in the area, this is a great place to stop!
