There is a lot of nice grass for picnicking or whatever. Some shade, too. A few okay benches. I don't recommend going barefoot in the sand; there are a lot of cats in the neighborhood. There used to be a tire swing. They replaced it with a (third) baby swing. Why?! The swings on the "big kid" playground are nice, but the one on the right (if Nez Perce Drive is behind you) squeaks like nothing else, while the left swing is completely silent.

If you read up a little bit on the geology of this area you'll appreciate this park even more. There's a spot for the kids to play. There's a ball field. And there is even a frisbee golf course. Convenient parking. Beautiful views of San Benito County. Definitely more of a local's hangout, but well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

It has a children's playground, baseball field and the disc golf course that has 9 holes. It is hilly so for a beginner like me, a lot of rolling discs...lol...but the views are beautiful. Nice, fun course. Would come play the course again but got to be careful as there is no fencing and at hole 2 , it's right next to the street.

The reason why I've spent so much time at this particular park is a matter of convenience rather…read morethan preference...it's just a five minute walk away from the high school, the library, and, when she lived near there, my cousin's house. But it's only an okay park. It can be nice to relax at on fine days...but you frequently have to put up with the aroma of dog poop (make sure you check before you sit). There is at least a wide expanse of grass, with a few large trees for shade, although they're not really in the parts of the park you want to sit at. If you feel like doing the picnic/barbeque thing, there's a patio for that, as well...but it's fairly rundown and the grills are more than a little rusty. The play structure there is pretty generic. I like the swings...they've got that old, classic thing going on, with authentic squeaks and everything. It has bathrooms. I've never used them, because I assume they're kind of gross. Could be great, though. I don't really know. There's also a "Club House," but I don't really know what it's for. Events, I guess? The second best part of Dunne Park CAN be the small rose garden. I say "can" because the garden only seems to be tended (sort of) half of the time. There are plenty of crawly critters in there, so be careful if you feel like picking one of the few perfect roses you find. THE best part of this place is that the fault line runs through it down the gray dirt path. You can actually see it. It's pretty cool. As a bonus, the ice cream man rides by on his bike pretty frequently. Watch for him on a hot day.

A shaded area with picnic tables provides a perfect spot for snacks, lunch breaks, or just catching a breather while staying cool--especially on sunny days. However, the lack of public restrooms can be a drawback for some visits, especially for families with young children. Being right across the street from a school, you'd think it would be nice to have a restroom available for anyone who might be at the park after school, when the school buildings are closed. The play areas could also benefit from their own shade structures, but currently have none. Despite this inconvenience, the park remains a lively and welcoming space that encourages outdoor play and community connection.

To start off, the park ranger at the entrance was very welcoming and super knowledgeable. We went on the upper ranch, explored the easy and medium terrain as well as the adventure park. What a great experience! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some outdoor fun with your vehicle. This area is beautiful and what a deal for $10/a night. The last few days there was a lot of rain…read moreso the riding and roads in general were very muddy but still such a great place to go. The store is open every day and you're close enough to town if you forgot anything the store doesn't carry. Whether you're riding a motorcycle, ATV or 4-wheelin' it's a great location to get away to. The down side is public restrooms are not kept up, missing faucets, plugged drains in sinks and showers, no toilet paper - definitely needs attention.
