I was looking on the internet for a hotel at Lake Maggiore and read a very favourable review from The Telegraph newspaper. It's a bit more expensive than some of the others in the area but the photographs looked nice and the town Cannobio seemed interesting. We loved it from the moment we got there. It's beautiful, views are stunning and the pool area is lovely. There is a honesty bar if you want a chilled bottle of white wine for sitting poolside. Some other reviews said to get a first floor room but we had a garden one which we liked for just walking out into our own little garden area to have a drink and watch the world go by. You still have a good view of the area on the ground floor. Breakfast is quite varied and everything was good quality. I would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the future. read more
