Absolutely horrible. We were denied our booked room (booked 6 months prior) upon arrival after traveling from NY-Rome - Frascati. Exhausted upon arrival, we were told "No you cannot stay here, maybe tomorrow. There is a problem with the rooms". Which rooms? What problems? No answers, just told we would have to stay elsewhere. Guests staying at the hotel who heard of our troubles said there were absolutely no problems plus many from their party had left, with the rest freeing up the rest of their block of rooms the following day. When we arrived, four hours before check in time, the front desk manager told use he gave away the available rooms. Wait! You just told me all the rooms had problems, now it is just mine? Later on I checked backed on the status and spoke to Veronica who rudely told me to talk with her only when I requested to speak to the front desk manager. Funny --- When I asked for names and titles the next day, Veronica from the previous day (if that is really her name) told me "I'm nobody" - her words when asked for her name and title. She however told me that the problem was with my room specifically, no one else's. Strange, she checked in someone else earlier while I was there and when mentioned this I was told to check the website, we are totally booked. Well yeah, I'm one of the reservations that you booked and took my money. Each time I spoke with the front desk manager I received an evasive "I'm not sure if you will get in here, probably not". Veronica answered the same question with an unequivocal "No". No compassion for the weary traveler! Yes were we booked next door into a semi-operation facility. I have no idea what to call it. 1). We were the only people in this facility for the first two days. I kept thinking of "The shining" by Steven King!! No lights on when we came in, no one at the front desk, no lights on in our hallway until we were almost at our room then automatic lights came on! We hung out at the deserted top floor looking out towards Rome, again the only people there. Our own private hotel, which was a bit freaky. No restaurant, no bar, no pool, no people!! Let me backtrack on the no people. There is a daycare attached to the building, exactly below our room. We wake up daily to the screaming and crying of toddlers out on the playground. Just not what we paid for! Now, the new hotel's demographics have changed again! Today seems to be the first day of school, and our hotel actually is a private school!! We either hear the littles ones or the rambunctious teens!! This is not the vacation we dreamed of!! The Park Hotel Villa Grazioli is an event space; upon arrival there was an event in process; today another event started up. We were pushed aside to accommodate the event guests. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. STAY FAR AWAY! They take the money and run!! And no, there was no discount given for our time and troubles. Just the standard blah blah blah lies. JUST STAY AWAY!! read more
