Drove from Lindsay to see my son in Barrie for a pedicure, and a relaxing time! My appointment was for 11:00am and I was done at 11:20?!?! Worst experience I have ever had, not relaxing at all!! She was so fast, my feet didn't even soak in the water, she cut my skin while cutting my cuticles (1 am diabetic), nail polish not even on my toes (spots of nail polish are different colors), she didn't even polish my whole nail! I called and complained when I got home and they told me to come back to get them fixed, and they also told me that I can get a discount next time I go in!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went the first time to get acrylic nails with a polish. While she was doing it, it hurt, but she countined anyway. She also didn't tell me the price. It started at $50 then she would add something on my nails, then tell me the price change. She cut me 3 times, and was really rough. They hurt for a week after. About a month later I had to get my nails removed, I decided to go back because it's just taking off my nails, they can't mess that up too bad. She stripped my nails - without soaking -with the nail drill. When she finished my nails were irritated, red and aching, but she ensured it was fine. well... i choose an easy light mint colour and i even showed the nail artist a picture of the colour that i wanted. the nail artist then proceeded to paint on a DARK GREEN colour that i did not wanted. i know what you are thinking. "you should have said something". i did. 3 times. they just told me to trust it and it will look mor like the picture in the end. i feel that the nail artist didn't take me seriously because i am a 15 year old girl. but i am still paying them a lot of money at the end of the day and i deserve to be treated like any other client that they have. i will not be returning. read more

I highly recommend this location. the technicians are incredibly friendly, they listen to what you want most of all. My friend and I had an appointment last week, we were seated right away when we arrived which was nice but that's where the good experience ended. We started with pedicures, both women were incredibly rough and didn't seem to care that they were hurting us.... I've had many pedicures and have never experienced so much pain. They seemed to just want to move us through as quick as possible which came at the price of putting any care into giving either of us a relaxing pedicure. We then had manicures with shellac polish. Again we were moved through quickly - little time between coats and both of our polish was chipping the next day. We had asked to be seated together and at the time no one else was getting manicures but we were told no and sat apart. Neither of us will be going back. read more

Visited this afternoon with a friend as a walk in to get a pedicure. We were able to come in quickly and got an appointment. The girls did work very fast on my friend and I but I am satisfied with the colour and the work that they did. We both got shellac pedicures so I'm looking forward to seeing how long the polish lasts. The staff and friendly and the establishment is clean. The prices do seem a bit high-- $43 each for our pedicures. This does seem high for being rushed through. I looked at some of their prices and even a pedicure for children under 11 years of age is $20. Seems a bit high. Overall, I did enjoy my experience and would recommend to others. read more

The service at first was ok..and then I was told I wasn't able to get my shellac done because the appointment was only scheduled for pedicures, however she was able to wax my eyebrows and that was not mentioned at the time of scheduling the appointments. The lady I had was very rough and rude during my pedicure. This was my first time visiting to this place and I brought 3 other friends with me for business. When we were done our pedicures there were 2 people not doing anything, so obviously they don't mind turning away business. This will be my last time going. read more

This is the WORST nail shop I have ever been to. Went to get a refill and came out completely dissapointed. HOW do you mess up a refill?! I asked for a specific length and shape, all of which was ignored. Crazy! The girl was very rude and very inexperienced. After trying to fix my nails twice I gave up in trying to be pleased with what I was expecting from this shop. My nails actually looked worse leaving than they did coming in to this so called business. I've been to nail shops all around and NEVER have I endured such service. I have been to this nail salon quite a few times and I always hope for a better result before leaving a review. But this last time was way below average and so I'm leaving this review. I received a regular pedi and a shellac mani. The nail lady deeply cut the side of my big toenail. And while I felt pain at the time, I thought I was being sensitive. But less than 48 layers and I can barely walk as my toe has swollen up and is red and extremely painful. I may have to go to the walk in clinic tomorrow if it doesn't get better. I also paid an extra $8 on top of the shellac price for her to fix a crack in my nail but it didn't hold. In the past I've made mother daughter appt only to have them take me first and I'm almost done before my 17 year old daughter is even started. And then they rushed it so she didn't get her full treatment. Not great for her first pedi ever. read more

This place overcharges without telling you the actual price and does the "extras" without making you aware of fees and asking you if it is okay to proceed. Their work is okay, but for $50 for a shellac french I would suggest going elsewhere. My nails have already started to peel and it has only been 3 days since getting the manicure. Customer service itself is mediocre and they can barely communicate in English to make you aware of the prices as well as to tell them what you want. Went with my friend to get a full gel set, I found out she misheard me when it came to looking at the bill and did bio gel instead which is way more expensive. The prices are ridiculous for adding any extra things to your nails such as marble and nail tape. I usually spend $50 max on my nails and ended up having to pay almost $90. I went to Nice One Nails at Park Place during their 'Grand Opening'. Nothing too grand was going on. I called ahead for my appointment and booked the time I wanted. I have a 3 month old baby and had a friend nice enough to offer to come and sit with her in the waiting area so she could tend to her if need be. I thought it was great, I would need her for 45 minutes at the MAX! WRONG! I got a full set of acrylics, not even completed and it took 1h15m. Vanda was not skilled in her trade whatsoever. I normally frequent a spot in Toronto and this set takes 35 minutes, start to finish. I wasn't able to get the polish done, to which she suggested I come back later. Ummm what? Who in this day and age has time to do that kind of stuff? Not only was my service no where near complete I was charged $5 EXTRA because I wanted my nails rounded and not squared! WHAT?! I got charged $5 extra for an incomplete service! Not to mention the fact that some acrylic doesn't reach the edges of my actual nail, and my one thumb is a shorter, stubbier version of the proper lengthed one. And some of the nails have odd plateaus in them. Generally during a set with a new person I am speculative of their skills during the application, but I always say nothing until the finished result because it always turns out to looks good. I saw Vanda doing a half assed job during the application and I should have spoke up because the end result was the same. This place is your typical chop shop and I will advise to all of my friends in Barrie to avoid this salon like the plague. NEVER EVER GO HERE! read more

I would not return to this place. You make an appointment and have to wait even longer to get your nails done. I got shellac and my polish chipped within a day so I went back to get it fixed, just my thumbnail repainted, and I was told they could not see me, I'd have to wait at least half an hour. They weren't even that busy, it would have taken a few minutes to do. Awful customer service, obviously don't care about their customers. if i could give minus, i would. i booked over the phone for my 14yr old daughter for acrylic nails for graduation, due to having a sleeping toddler & infant in the car, i sent her in with my bank card. i notice the following day she was charged $60. i asked what they said they were doing? she answered "acrylic". I call assuming a simple mistake was made. I explained this 3 times to the owner/manger. His response was "i have no control over the services people are getting from my workers." I swore last year I wouldn't go back but decided to give them one more chance. To begin with, I didn't find them very friendly. They were prompt and started on mine and my husband's pedicures very shortly after our scheduled appointment time. They became noticeably cooler when I declined the "deluxe" package which was an additional $10. I felt rushed and this was confirmed when they allowed my polish to dry for less than 5 minutes. This was my first visit this week to have a shellac pedicure and manicure, and will be my last. i was given the pedicure first and not offered to sit at a table for my manicure. I was made to twist to one side while she applied the shellac and told me to rest my hand on a magazine while the portable light was in place. She was very rough and would not listen to my requests. I was so disappointed with the shellac, which was rough and uneven. I asked for it to be removed immediately and was told that I would not get my money refunded for the manicure. This place is completely awful. I had an appointment with my cousin and aunt for 3:30 one day. Got there around maybe 3:15ish. We were not served until 4:45. We had 3 pedicures. We spoke to the manager and he yelled back at us when we asked for some sort of discount. He kept saying how he was overbooked but still let me book my appointment. He let walk ins come in, and there are 4 other ladies that supposedly had an appointment the same time we did. He yelled at each customer as we were all sticking up for eachother. He walked away because he was so angry at all of us. It was ridiculous. I booked an appointment for my friend and I, for her birthday, we got there and after 10 minutes they said they can take one of us so she went, and they left me sitting in the waiting area for 50 minutes by myself without saying anything, what got me really mad was people were getting there after me and getting there nails done before me, meanwhile my friend the main reason we were getting are nails done for her birthday something to do together and also seating all by herself, after about an hours finally i was to get me nails done the person doing y nails keep on filing down my nails and filing down the side of my finger to the point it was bleeding and hurting a lot, i try to tell the person that it hurt but she didn't speak much english and didn't understand me, on the other hand my nails look amazing and i love them, but the sides of my nails still hurt, the worst part is on their websites it said it's was going to 30 dollars but when we went to pay they charged use 45.
