They have many restaurants and hotels in the area and if you continue to walk out the port area, they have some good shopping and churches to visit. Marseille also has a double decker hop on hop off tour.

I came here on a Wednesday evening in August around 5 PM to do some shopping and to visit the…read moreterrasse. The mall was very conveniently located, easily accessible by metro (and by foot, if you're staying in the Joliette area). I entered via an entrance to the food court and a security guard had to pass a wand over me and check my bag before I could continue on. The mall is pretty large and had a lot of the stores I was looking for, including Pull & Bear, Zara, and H&M (I had underpacked for my trip and needed to buy some inexpensive clothes). The stores were reasonably busy given it was a weeknight. I finished my visit by going up to the terrasse; there were clear signs in the mall pointing to the direction of the terrasse. There was a lovely view, especially since the weather was nice. Even if you're not interested in shopping, I would definitely pay the mall a visit to go up to the terrasse, as it's a nice (and free) view.
