You pull up and it's $3 mandatory valet parking only so they grab their grab your keys so don't drive a good car here they try to control the limited parking [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is two stories with many seats available you walk through a narrow walkway to get to the check-in to check your party[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and they do have lunch icing and menu you could pick the combination which has a little bit of everything and they do have complementary Hot House tea so you can ask for it. OVERALL meat quality is not marching the price tag in my opinion .  Other places less expensive and tastes like any other kbbq place.  I feel quality has come down. Yeah it's rising cost rising rent rising labor everything but that's why people don't eat out as much. Just a suggestion when people dine out and pay premium they expect premium level. None of the meats we had fit that level.  Now everyone opinion is different.  I'm sure there are people that would say this place tastes great . But that's why we have reviews from different all sorts of people. I've been eating and exploring places through eating so that is my point of view and from my perspective. Like if someone never had wagyu beef and they eat for first time they would never know that there is actually different levels and quality of wagyu. And the US actually does not import the "best highest" level typically. Those highest quality level is available in Japan. Google it. You will see that things labeled waygu are actually not 100% correct. They are beef injected with fats and such. We have dined in restaurants outside of the country for example in parts of Asia and that grade of meats are vastly different than that of the best offerings.   But when your pricing is at the premium level of kbbq then meats should not be tasting like or be like those kbbq places of lower levels even tastes the same as some all you can eat places and you know they don't use high quality meats.  Service and ambience and all that is great though.  Kudos to the entire staffs.  That part is good. They have been 23 years in business and are highly rated but yeah it Falls way short unfortunately in relation to food.  And don't force people to valet park AND charge them for it! That's not right imo!  Go here if you dont mind to pay higher premium price for average meat quality.

Ordered: - P1 set (4/5): Not a single cut of meat that we didn't like. The servers cook for you so all the meat comes out perfect and juicy. The beef short ribs were my favorite followed up by the galbi. Both were just so meaty and went perfectly with the salt. - Beef Tartare (4/5): A refreshing dish. It wasn't very meaty because of the sauces but it was a good dish to cut through the heavy flavors. Overall (3.5/5): There was a very short wait on the Sunday evening we came on. There's valet in the lot so parking wasn't too bad. Once seated ordering was smooth and we were served banchan and then our mains. The food was all solid but honestly I didn't think it was worth the price tag. Service was alright - wasn't that friendly but got the job done and the meat was cooked perfectly.

I've had Park's BBQ saved on multiple "must-visit" KBBQ lists for quite some time. I'm always on the lookout for places that feel authentic and stay true to their roots. Some of the best Korean BBQ I've experienced was in Seoul, so I'm constantly searching for spots that can recreate that same quality and atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday morning just before opening. While they offer valet parking, we opted to park elsewhere since we prefer not to use valet. When we arrived, the staff were still preparing for service. We were first in line, with a few others joining shortly after. The line grew steadily just before the doors opened. Reservations are recommended, which I only realized the night before since they don't use Yelp for bookings and instead rely on a third-party system. Although we had made a reservation for five, only three of us ended up going due to illness in the family. In the end, we didn't even need the reservation since we arrived early enough to be seated right away. Upon entry, the host asks whether you're there for KBBQ and seats you accordingly. Our experience started off strong with a friendly young Korean waitress who was attentive and thoughtful--she even offered to let us take photos before cooking the meat and kindly offered to take a family picture for us. She handled grilling and swapped out the grill when needed, but she disappeared for a while midway through the meal. Fortunately, another server stepped in and was more attentive, especially when we needed additional banchan. Speaking of banchan, our favorites were the eomuk bokkeum (stir-fried fish cakes), cucumber, salad, broccoli with dressing, and potato salad. Surprisingly, the kimchi fell short--it didn't taste as fresh as we'd hoped. We ordered the P1 combo ($140), which included Ggot Sal, Park's Galbi, bulgogi, beef brisket, and boneless beef short rib. The meat quality was excellent overall, with the marinated options standing out the most. For drinks, I had a pint of Terra beer ($12), while my wife and son shared a lemon drink ($5), which comes bottled and isn't refillable. One downside was the limited variety of dipping sauces. I would have appreciated something with more spice. The salt blend provided was quite strong--flavorful, but a bit too salty for my taste--and there was also a soy-based sauce with jalapeños. My wife, who is Asian and quite particular about Asian cuisine, enjoyed the meal, which says a lot given how hard she is to impress. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Park's BBQ has a well-earned reputation, highlighted by the wall of celebrity photos near the entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I first heard about it from *Parts Unknown* (Season 6, Episode 4), when Anthony Bourdain visited. While it's definitely on the pricier side, the quality justifies the cost. It's not an everyday dining spot unless you're willing to splurge, but it's perfect for special occasions or hosting out-of-town guests. We'll definitely be back.

Came here on a Friday with a 4pm reservation and was seated immediately. Valet parking was $5 Great service and food. I forgot which one we ordered but it was plenty of food for all 6 of us. My fav's were the short rib, bigobi and ribeye. Our waitress cooked and cut everything for us which was nice. Would definitely come back.

Another great meal at Park's with Leon giving the assist! Always great to see your smiling face and enjoy your thoughtful service! Today was a birthday splurge, so we went with the Park's Galbi beef short ribs in their signature sauce. Leon demonstrated the various levels from medium to well cooked, giving them just a slight crispness and caramelized texture - FABULOUS! We also had our staple black cod which is always amazing. Japchae and steamed dumplings filled out our order. PLENTY of great banchan, but my favorites are, mung beans, kimchi, the fish cake, spicy cucumbers, salad & rice wrappers, while my friend also really likes Park's potato salad to cool the spice of the dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We tend to get to Park's around 3pm, which is a perfect lull time with a very casual, relaxed vibe and quiet enough to have a nice conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Leon surprised me with a lovely vanilla ice cream with sweet red beans and a toasty rice crunch, topped with a candle. Thanks, Leon for making this an extra special meal. Cheers! "CC"

Parks BBQ has been around for many years and written up and won awards, but somehow the 3 of us had never tried it, decided to walk in on a Sunday lunch. No wait and saw some empty tables even when we were walking out, so dont worry if you cant score a reservation, just walk in. Parking is valet in the plaza or street parking. Food-wise, I thought it was fine. Favorite was the Parks Galbi, very tender. Was not blown away by anything else we got, service was fine, at one point they switched servers and new server didnt really let us know when meat was ready to eat, so we had to guess. Also had to ask an additional time for some replacement Banchan, which on the flip side had lots of choices -- particularly liked the marinated tofu. Given the many choices of amazing kbbq, was a little let down by this place. Can name a few other kbbq places that I would prefer to here. Come if you want to try a LA institution, and see the wall of celebs that have also tried it.

    Karen X.

My family and I really wanted to try a KBBQ place in LA since we heard the KBBQ scene is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, we were a little overwhelmed by the ambiance and underwhelmed by the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we sat down, we felt really neglected in the corner and then once we were noticed, we felt completely rushed. Now, this might be controversial, but sometimes I can ignore the bad when the food is really good. I wish this was the case here. Maybe it's my fault to come into this with high expectations, but the meat quality was fine and the banchan was nothing to write home about. I expected the kimchi to at least be solid but everything just tasted mediocre.

I come here so often! Literally my fav restaurant in LA. I also take out from here a lot but I feel like the portions are much smaller when you take out Honestly not that expensive if you don't get the meat. Most of the time I just get the kimchi jigea and beef short rib soup. 10/10

    Meat and banchan...

Fantastic meat... ok service. Those 4 words pretty much sum up Park's BBQ. With high quality, nicely marbled meat grilling right in front of you...what's not to like? If you're new to Korean BBQ, don't worry, as they have lots of sampler items where you can taste their selection. Our table really enjoyed the ribeye cap, as well as the brisket...both so flavorful with the right amount of fat to keep things juicy. In terms of service, ordered lettuce leaf wraps but they arrived after the meat was already grilled and mostly eaten. Also felt like they forgot about us when waiting for the check... but hey, it was a busy Saturday night. It's located in a mini-mall, but don't worry about parking as they have a $6 valet, which means you don't have to search for a spot before letting the meat hit the spot.

Park's BBQ definitely is super popular for a reason. The meat quality is great, and their sides are arguably even better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came with friends and had a great time, and I noticed a lot of famous Korean celebrities have visited and left their autographs on the walls![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to come back again!!

It's been about a year since I went to Park's BBQ. I went to Park's BBQ on 1/5/2024, Friday evening in Ktown LA with My Mom and one of my brothers for dinner. And, it was kinda surprising. We ran into Dana Devon who is KTLA5 news anchor & reporter. We took some photos all together and had a good chatting. She has a wonderful personality, is exceptionally beautiful, and being a journalist, she's also very intelligent. She told me that it was her son's birthday that day, so they were all there for a family dinner. We had the chance to greet and chat with her son, daughter, and even her husband. It was a delightful experience, and we left with a very positive feeling. It was so cool and great Friday evening. And, yes. All of the meats at Park's BBQ were delicious, and the salad and all of the side dishes were good as well. The service was also good. I've also heard that the famous Korean celebrity Psy stop by here whenever he's in Los Angeles.

Ordered takeout and WOW the short rib beef soup was DELICIOUS. Meat was super tender & it came with so many sides. I definitely want to go back to try more. The delivery came in personal insulated bags.

Food was good, but pricey. Service was amazing. All the servers took good care of me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was lively. Not too crowded, but full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ask the Community - Park's BBQ

Do they have outdoor seating? If so, can a pet dog visit the outdoor seating?

They have outdoor seating but not sure about the dog. I would call them to find out.

Is it by reservation only? Do they take walk ins?

    Walk in

    Is there halal options?

No that don't. This place is no good

Are there tvs to watch playoff games?? Trying to decide if we should adjust our reservation tomorrow or if we can keep it and watch the warriors/kings game. Thanks!

They have tvs there, but not sure if you can request sitting near one (I expect a lot of people will be thinking of the same thing)

Can Parks BBQ seat a large group of 12-15 in the same area?

I'd say yes. There was a huge wedding party there last time we were there.

    Is this place kosher?

What do you think? Of course it isn't,

    What's the corkage fee here?

How much is it per person?

You order on their menu a la carte

Is their outdoor tented have plastic walls or is there open air flow?

They have actual walls and is enclosed. No open air flow.

Is there a minimum order for Friday night dinner for 2 people ordering Seng Galbi? Can you order just one order of Seng Galbi for a party of 2?

    Minimum 2 orders!

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes. There are lots of meats, vegetables and soup. Try the Japchae which are noodles made from sweet potatoes

Does any of the food contain nuts?

Is there any outdoor seating still for lunch? Husband is immunocompromised and isn't comfortable dining inside at the moment. I'm seeing conflicting information and wondering which is most current. Thanks in advance!!

How much does it charge from my credit card if I cancel or change my reservation?

4/16/22 - I just made a reservation, and it not require me to provide a credit card. All they ask for is: name, phone number, party #, and desired time.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

I observed small dogs with their owner in the outdoor patio. So it seems at least small dogs are allowed.

Do you need a reservation to eat outdoors here?

yes you will need reservations for all seating here they are extremely popular

    Do they have outdoor dining?

    Not when we were there

Sre theh open for tske out during stay at home order?

Yes. See their mobile Instagram account for a picture of their current takeout menu. Last I looked it was about 5 photos in. The PC Instagram account looks different and I didn't see the menu there. Be sure to order the $9.99 short rib soup. It's…

I know Korean barbecue can get smoky inside, but how smoky is this place compared to others?

It's not too smoky imo eso if you go when it's not too crowded.

    What time does lunch end?

    All day

Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.
