    Being an aspiring DIY mechanic, I reviewed the (hard copy) Owners Manual in my vehicle glove box. Yes, this reference book seldom makes an appearance expect for special occasions... i.e. problems. Well, I found the specific reference to a vehicle fluid and the stated remedy. Off I went to this local Honda dealership because Canadian Tire doesn't sell this genuine Honda part. I can say without a doubt in all my decades visiting dealerships, where the parts department was physical located in a separate building and on a different street. Well, Parkway Honda Parts is a first! You should drive, not walk over to 30 Mobile Drive on the backside of the main dealership. The Parts Department staff member was funny, courteous, and happy to supply genuine Honda parts for a small fortune. In return, Honda guarantees to keep my Honda running beyond the current 310,000+ kilometres!

    I bought a Honda Civic from them. It broke down 2 months later and they won't fix it under warranty. I am never buying a Honda again.

I have only ever dealt with the Scarborough location at White Shield Plaza but there's been two more in Markham for a while and more recently a branch in Newmarket. Appears to be locally owned from what I can tell. I've used them multiple times since 2014 for my own and family member's cars - mainly Brake & Suspension components but also an aftermarket axle shaft - everything has been legit and has held well up for years. Prices are not as good as they were 2014-2018 but still around average on established brands and they offer decent amount of off brands as well. In-stock levels are very good by today's standards, and delivery times for other items has always been same day. There is an online part look up and availability tool that looks primitive but loads faster and requires less inputs than national chains or Canadian online sellers. Friendlier and more informative over the phone than Hot Spot, open 7 days a week with longer hours than most. I still turn other stores like Best Way or CT occasionally - the retail parts landscape here is poor and nobody can fulfill every need. But with the demise of the excellent Wexford Auto Parts 13 years ago and NAPA Canada becoming a sad shadow of itself in recent years, This figures to be my go-to parts store in the neighborhood.

The Good: - large check in/out station to drop off/pick up keys - cashier station to purchase parts and supplies if maintenance is not required - waiting area is clean and big with large L-sectional bonded leather couch which is extremely comfy, counter table with computer available, coffee table with magazines, candies, and hot water beverage - store front and waiting room has no visibility of the garage and no smell of grease in the air - experienced auto technicians/mechanics (including customized automobile) - customer service representatives always manning the store front and picking up the phone prior to 3 rings - employee fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin - keeps data records of your automobile and visit requests - no greasy hands handling transaction from end-to-end The Bad: - limited parking space but there are reserved spots for customers. It's a plaza issue not fault of the company Conclusion: My automobile is 11 years old and has been to 4 dealership/shop through its lifetime. I have been a customer since 2009 because they're honest, reliable and affordable. Works they've done were wheel alignment, insurance claim (stereo got stolen in a parking lot where my windows got smashed) paint work and regular check-ups. Their wait time is acceptable; I've never waited more than 30 minutes for an oil change with appointments. Of course, if you're dropping in without an appointment, you may wait longer. Like today, I waited 1 hour which is acceptable for a last minute appointment that I called on Saturday after Good Friday long weekend. I can assume after the long weekend, their extremely busy as everyone wants to change tires for spring as I was one of them who need that plus an oil change.

    You can only go to this shop for maintenance jobs. Don't go if you need to fix body. They don't…read morehave body shop and they are not insurance authorized bodyshops. They will tell you they will let your insurance know and fax all the paper and report but that's a lie. They subcontract the body jobs to other bodyshops and get all the mark up. They will tell you they don't know how much to fix before you drop the car and take all the money insurance gave you when picking up the car. Just find a bodyshop yourself which may be much cheaper.
