We had to stop here during our vacation because the it's a donut place that also stays open late. We ordered 4 doughnuts and a couple lattes. The doughnuts are massive and extremely sweet. I could only it handle a bit of 2 out of the 4 we got. My husband ate a banana cream pie doughnut and we were left with 2 whole doughnuts. It's a shame we couldn't finish them but it's just too sweet. I suggest only getting one or two, and sharing! read more

We've been coming to Parlor since they opened. We love their style of doughnuts and I also get the Keto doughnut when counting carbs. My wife enjoys their coffee and we both love their breakfast items, especially the breakfast tacos. Plus, the location close to the beach doesn't hurt. read more

This place is cute and a nice spot to hang out with friends, but as for the actual food--specifically the doughnuts--for me and my friends, it's a no. The doughnuts taste like the fried biscuit-style doughnuts that everyone in the South makes. Personally, I'm not a big fan of that, and they're also too sweet. Each doughnut is already extremely sweet, and then it has cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Let's just get this out of the way, these are not your traditional hole in the middle donuts. They are more like a fritter type "donut". That being said, they are very good! Got the coconut cream and lemon bar and 2 plain vanilla glazed. All were excellent! I'd have to say Mel the coconut was my favorite! They are a bit on the pricey side but they are huge! Don't be fooled by these donuts. That may look like an average donut. My first impression looking at these guys were that they would probably sit so heavy in my stomach. I wouldn't want to eat another bite for the rest of the day but it couldn't be further from the truth Because the inside of the doughnuts and parlor donuts are more like a croissant than a dense donut. Don't get me wrong. I think their donuts on average are about 350 Calories, but that's pretty much on par with donuts. Just about anywhere you're not eating a donut, because it's the healthiest option. My favorites so far are the strawberry shortcake and lemon bar Just go. read more

So, we were the only ones there, and there was only 1 staff member. Now for the doughnuts, I got the Maple Bacon and Apple Pie. Inside, the doughnuts were still stretchy. However, the small doughnuts were nice. When driving here, keep in mind that the entrance is steep, I would take the road that says it's for some RV thing. Soooo. I don't love chain restaurants but this is just a small one that has family roots. Staff was meh. They did whip us up some fresh doughnuts at 6:30pm when our local parlor doughnuts will not. We opted to try the dog Donut which our Shih Tzu choked on. Super crumbly. I give them 4 stars bc the donuts are unique. Nowhere else can you get a croissant Donut. We tried this place recently on our annual family vacation. We went later in the day (around 7:30). At that time, they do not have doughnuts in the display cases but they glaze them to order. We tried 5 different ones. We took them back to the condo and shared them with the rest of our family. They were definitely worth the price! They were the best doughnuts we had ever had. The next day, on the way out of town, my brother and his sons stopped to get a few more. My stepmom is dairy and gluten free and they had a lot of different choices for her which is hard to find! On the way out of town, she stopped for 3 different gluten friendly/ vegan ones and said they were delectable. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back when we come back to Gulf Shores! read more

This special place is amazing!! Clean, friendly and just plain lovely! The large size doughnuts are 100% homemade and compare to eating a king cake texture wise and are not like eating a light cheaper version of doughnuts. These have body and are chewy and delicious! The smaller ones are soft and less hearty but just as delicious! The sourdough bread was fantastic! Would have liked a smidge more butter toasted on it but it was wonderful! read more
